I need to re-read since my brain has been occupied with other things (two wild nieces). Just something I have thought of: TGlems was very active in his first game but now he is not. Because he is mafia this time? He parked his vote on me too. Well, I will see what that re-read will tell me.

I think Rand is the best bet today. I didnt mention it in my first post, but I dont like Rand's villain claim thing. Whether or not it was a joke or was meant to be a different character it just doesnt look right to me.

 

He also didnt vote yesterday which leaves a bad feeling in me.

Sorry, I won´t get the time to re-read tonight. My own game ended today and it took some time to wrap it up. I will re-read tomorrow morning instead.

I was uncomfortable with Rand's claim at first, but I didn't think it was enough to go on. But he hasn't been very active, and never voted yesterday. Time for a bit of pressure, IMO. Vote Rand.

I had a hard time getting a read from anyone, I'll need to read troug once more I think. I don't agree much on Rand looking suspicious for that claim though; I think that was just joking around.

I've been traveling and am now in Phx visiting family for the holidays. I miss AZ but rather than talking about my travels and being in the Atl airport for hours...

 

Rand: Wow, three really quick votes. I found his villain claim scummy but don't really know how far the Rand are you scum joke goes. Also:

 

Mrs. Who is vanila town? She's so awesome though!

Rand seems to know the books pretty well so he could have known who the villain was and was just being sarcastic. Somewhat scummy but not sure...

 

Kae/Lenlo: The biggest ping was Kae's withdrawal. She was killed 3x in one game I was in with her and 2x in another. I can see how she would get fed up with that pretty quick but it sucks she dipped and I hope she keeps playing. As for the withdrawal,not enough to go on here for me so I suggest waiting to see Lenlo's contributions.

 

Right now I'll be rereading to see if I have any other thoughts. I remember finding Despo's linking a bit suspicious because I couldn't see the same connections that he did. Also he went head to head pretty hard on a couple points with Turin, so there might be a connection there.

I appreciate you wanting to get the game going Tina, but I do kinda find it funny that you would say that about me. I'm known for having a meta of trying to look semi scummy both to benefit me when I'm mafia and to help avoid nk's when I'm town.

 

Simply put, there's never really a circumstance when I would ever try to look "normal" and townie. That was simply me feeling spammy, nothing more.

 

And @Peace: Me? I would NEVER insult another player so! You might be able to argue that the comic I posted was calling him one, but not in a million years would I have the audacity to personally insult another player!

Suspicious to me because he seems suddenly defensive during N0 phase.

 

 

Incidentally, I don't really think much serious gameplay has really gone on either, been mainly spam for the most part

She's a bit too aggressive out the gate this game, and her early linking of me and BG is troubling.

This game I´m all for killing inactive players right from the start. But until we know who they are I will have a close eye on the onion smelling boys.

 

This post specifically is what I meant when I said a bit too aggressive. She's all for killing inactives this game huh. Plus she will be "keeping an eye" on me and BG, and while I don't know BG's alignment this game I know we are both good scumhunters when town. And yes, I am town this game. So discrediting two known good scumhunters isn't that great to me tbh

I could go with Basel as well, now that Kae has been replaced. If others feel the same I can move my vote, I'll try to keep checking in a bit on my phone.

 

@Tina: You saying you didn't think it was gameplay seemed like it was sort of clearing her. Could be a misunderstanding or just semantics, but I'm leaning more towards her being mafia that got frustrated than town since she's still playing other games

 

Despo then offers to move his vote if that is what people might like. After claiming town he goes on to basically offer to vote however we all want. Maybe I haven't played with Despo enough to know, but the fact that earlier he claimed his meta was all about looking a little scummy then immediately goes on to actually claim town and offer to vote however people want reeks scum to me.

 

I think Despo is trying to lay a groundwork of suspicion on enough players early on in order to help give mafia the win. vote Despo

The last time we saw an emo breakdown like Kae's it was Red. And Red was scum that game. I'm thinking this follows suit.

 

VOTE LENLO.

 

I do agree with you, and I personally am not a fan of mods wiping the slate clean for replacements. I reluctantly agree that it is more fair to the person replacing in, but it also pretty much removes ANY heat that player was getting, and if that person is mafia then it isn't really fair to town.

 

And that exact thing happened in the GoT game that just wrapped up. Cyan didn't have an emo breakdown, but she did ask to be replaced just as I was pushing a steadily growing train on her, and once NS came in everyone just pretty much forgot about him after that. And she/he was mafia.

 

So I agree that Lenlo could use some pressure as well, but for now Basel seems to be the clearer choice, and he's also more experienced than Lenlo so if they're both mafia I'd rather personally get rid of him.

And btw, I must say that in general, I find too many people wagoning on Rand for mainly the claim thing. I could see it as a small thing to be suspicious of, I noted it myself when I talked about him, but those voting him are pretty much using that as a crutch to vote him, which is lame since it does seem pretty obvious he was joking.

 

The main reason I was suspicious of him is that he seemed to be playing too safe yesterday, and I don't even necessarily mean not voting. He just never really came out definitively on any side of an issue.

And in a small game, half of a majority can be obtained extremely easy. You def got your pantaloons way too much in a twist about three votes that were more spaced out than you made seem.

 

What worries me more are the people who jumped on the Rand train, as I'm suspicious of both Lenlo and Basel

I don't mean to dishearten you, cause I think you're a promising new mafia player, but your case on me was, in the words of Charles Barkley, just turrible.

 

There was no N0 phase. And if you think that was me being defensive you haven't played with me nearly enough times. Just FYI, pretty much any scum teams that have tried to paint my behavior as defensive ever since I started playing DM mafia (Kat's Carebears game was my first! :biggrin:) have died fiery, horrible deaths. So if you're scum now, or are scum in the future, I would abandon that track when trying to deal with me. Just a bit of advice

Your point about me claiming town is pretty ridiculous. Regardless of how I have tried to establish my meta over time, it is insane to think I would ever claim anything other than town, unless I wanted to see myself speed lynched. Even if I'm trying to play a little dirty, or rather not too cleanly, I still wouldn't want to outright claim any alignment other than town.

 

As for your vote on Tina, whether or not you think you voted for the same reasons, your vote post was just bleurgh. Remember you saying you "shared her concerns"? Yeah, that was uberscummy my friend. You were voting her but trying to soften the blow somewhat; it came off as you feeling guilty voting for someone you knew to be town. And before you try to come back and say you were just being polite or something, I saw when you were first explained that this is a vicious game full of deceit and malice (and other good wholesome fun) and there is no room for trying to keep from stepping on other people's feelings.

 

I like how you twisted Turin's response to make it seem like I blatantly threatened him

And I never suggested that I would vote however the rest of town wanted me to vote. I stated that I would vote for Basel, if that lynch gained some traction. That's a far cry from voting whoever the town wanted to lynch. Very poor attempt at twisting my words there bub. Oh and that groundwork of suspicion thing? It's called scumhunting.

Well, I've played in a few games with Des by now, and as far as I can remember (feel free to refresh my memory though) he's never been mafia, and he's band on how I've grown to know his playstyle.

 

 

TG on the other hand, seems to be building a poor case, and it reeks to me. There is also weird formatting, wich probably means nothing, but I wanted to point it out. The fact that Despo came after you for voting Tina for the excast same reasons as he did... Well, that's natural; If you're scum it's super easy to echo someone else's thoughts. And so it almost always get's pointed out and FOSed. And you call him scummy for looking at potential links between people and why they are suspicious; that's what we're supposed to do; scumhunt! Des is very good at it, because he as way too little regard for personal safety ( : tongue: ) and he wants to find scum, so he looks at everyone.

 

In conclusion, I complety disagree with you TG, and I find your case to be weak and suspicious.

Basel's curt reply just seems ... well I'll just let it slide for now. TG on the other hand presented a pretty turrible case, and his lynch could be a good info one cause I think he followed Darthe's lead way too easily early on

 

@Mish: Actually, I had somewhat of an antitown streak recently, was mafia in a few games. The Great Hunt game, the BT pokemon one, and DPR's Spider Country game. Oh but the flattery will get you EVERYWHERE with me (I have no regard for personal safety, that's the best compliment I've gotten in a while! :laugh:)

 

The formatting thing was nothing tho, TG's in the clear on that. His formatting thing came from c'ping from another page and refreshing or something
