And once it is said, it somehow becomes less true? For that matter, I just looked back. No one besides me has replied to the Ishy post that I quoted. While it may have been said in reference to other things, no one has said anything about this post pinging them.

Anyhoo, not liking the vig claim. It's obviously one of the safer fake claims to make as mafia, and I also didn't like the way Basel talked up the value of the role. We all know how effective a vig can be in mafia, there really wasn't a need for that.

 

And while Jaqen makes sense in the role, Basel could have easily come up with that as a good fake claim character.

 

But you notice how any other person who has revealed anything this game only gave their character, not their role? The fact that Basel decided to supply his role as well makes it seem like he wanted to do w/e he could to get pressure off him quick. I have a feeling townie Basel would have played his role closer to the chest to keep from having to reveal. I mean, how many votes did he actually have on him? I have seen other early reveals from him lately, and for the most part they haven't worked out (as in he was antitown and was discovered to be so).

I'm still very suspicious of Razen, Darthe, BG, and Red, but Red and BG have gone a bit inactive anyways (BG did give a reason, and I think Red is usually somewhat inactive on weekends), and I never posted my cases on Darthe and Razen. I'll get to them tonight hopefully.

I don't think, considering the subject matter, that any group must be considered town.

 

How many different factions have so called rightful claims to the thrown?

 

We had this discussion in detail last advanced GOT game. The possibilities are endless. So even if you are one of the two bastards you aren't off the hook.

 

There's even another angle you could be pushing. You could be neither and an actual scum and be dropping bastard hints trying to make you look town cause a counter claim with 2 options is tough to make.

 

We did have that discussion last game. Thing is, it was mostly scummy wifom generated to help keep town paranoid about everyone. I should know, I was one of the mafiosos pushing that discussion. I said what I said then because I was trying to help my team win. The fact is, I think the vast majority of GoT-themed games will have the Starks as town.

 

pointing out again that this is contradictory. you call Peace out on WIFOMing, yet do the same.

 

I wanted to respond to this a while ago, kept getting delayed.

 

Red, I wasn't contradicting myself. I never wifom'd on this issue this game.

 

I pointed out how really anyone saying that the Starks might be antitown would be wifoming. I think it's very clear that the Starks are town in this game, and I think it's also safe to say that the LARGE majority of GoT-themed mafia games will feature the Starks as town.

 

I WAS one of the people that was introducing this wifom, the idea that in a game based on the tumultuous series that is a Song of Ice and Fire, who knows what alignments everyone might be, so for all we know Starks might not be town since they are challenging the throne. I participated in that wifom creation because I was on the mafia team.

I disagree with you on that. I agree he is vetted Town by the Mods and all, but that doesn't mean that he knows the lay out or who is who. He is just as much in the dark as we are as to who is who.

 

And frankly, if you recall Scooby Doo mafia (your game, I believe), I learned not to trust people past Night 1. Or if they died and then were resurrected.
