I would have never played another game they were in. If done by accident, I'd make fun of them for all eternity....but if done on purpose - instant lockout from anything I play or mod.

A bored royalty looking for friends to have a pint with ic, look for the sign up where the plans of the eve's festivities are planned. The letter is I.

The issue is when it is consistently proven that it is just a mistake in the mod post, then logic dictates that further ones most likely also mistakes in the mod's post. If there is a mechanic that is going to change the information given, the dead person should recieve that information as the info is posted. Otherwise it would be safe to assume that an error was made and the information would have been given correctly had it been noticed.

I also agree that there should not be a bah post allowed however. A dead player should be dead, a bah post even done correctly leaves room for effecting gameplay so should not be allowed. I personally have come up with some funny legit bah posts before but those can easily be saved for post game. My games once I start modding will not allow for bah posts, to preventthese things.

What Verbal said regarding assuming is correct. Always contact the mod first if you are even a little bit unsure. And if you don't want to contact them, then be quiet and don't say anything.

On another note, the bah post rule was put in place because back in the day the dead players would spam the thread a bit, they were generally very good at not revealing game information (that was never an issue that I recall), but dead players repeatedly posting was becoming a bit of a problem. Not letting people even have a bah post is a bit harsh and could cause its own problems. Worth trying though, but be prepared for things to potentially backfire.

I don't mean to insult anybody, but to me it was always a common sense thing. I remember the first time I saw a player do it; I think it was about the fifth game I had been in, and I was totally shocked, because I know that was a bad move even without being told that it was a bad move. I'm not sure why people seem so grey on the subject lately, unless it's just because they have seen other players do it.

Ohhh that game. I was really angry about that. It was the first game I'd played in a long time and I was really enjoying it. We were just getting to some good stuff too.

Maybe start spelling out in the rules the consequences for the team of the offending player, that way they can't say any measures the mod takes are unfair or they weren't warned.

I remember hearing about that game Christine that was awful.

I remember one game I was in, a Mafia person died and then told everyone who the other scum were. It was a major douche move.

Note : This game was over a year ago.

Wow, that's just dumb, that sucks for everyone, especially the mod.

Then, in one of the games that I modded, one of the Mafia team members talked about it with someone that was being lynched at the time (WHY WOULD YOU CONFESS?! THEY GET DEADTHREAD IN A FEW HOURS?!) and the town dying guy called out the Mafia person. It was so much wtf, I was tired of figuring out what happened before I began.

I remember that one. Was it really a year ago? It must have been maybe my third or fourth game, I think.

If I'm thinking of the right game, it wasn't a year ago. Pandy was the mod, and he was also a player, right? He pulled that jester move?

That was kind of cheap IMHO

As a mod who is playing in his own game of course people are going to be extremely suspicious and want to lynch him

He set himself up for an easy win

Heh. I recall that I did that because I thought the mafia were somewhat underpowered, and wanted to provide something to distract the town. I wasn't too bothered about winning... when you've played as much mafia as I have, games only really matter up until the point that they're finished.
