You are asking the wrong person lol. DPR explained in the Fatima QT how their Hider worked. I just did admin and vote counts.

 

I was never supposed to do Night Actions I did mess up Verb's though and I apologised a lot - but in my defence, the previous person who targetted Verb got told the same thing so I just copied that.

Shinori - Hider - Once per night, you have the option of choosing another player to "hide" behind. Any Night Action targeted at you will fail. However, any Night Action targeted to the person you are hiding behind will also happen to you.

 

 

My NA should have failed. I should NOT have died that night. Lame. I mean, we won, but it ended up being so much closer than it should have been...

Oh and btw, how did I die? I targeted Shinori who hid with Darthe... instead of hitting the mirror, shouldn't my action have just failed, considering my target was hiding?

 

And bomb, mirror, governor, AND hider all on the same team?

So, the idea of the Hider is that they benefit and suffer by "hiding" behind another player. They suffer if the player they hide behind is targeted, so I made it that they benefitted if they got targeted as well. In this case, I intentionally put the Mirror and the Hider on the same team as it provides a nice strategy, but it also gives away 2 mafia if they get caught by an informational role.

 

And given the other mafia team's roles (Poisoner, Kidnapper, Shooter, Torturer, Executioner) i wanted to see how all defensive roles would stack up against all offensive roles in a game with no Docs or Cops.

Yup - I modified the role shortly after to help balance the teams. I worried that the opposite team was overpowered.

 

I should have updated the role condition as well.

Don't get me wrong, it was a cool ending to the game, and I'm glad my team won, but I def shouldn't have died, seeing how their Hider works

... well. I dunno, I think the teams were plenty balanced enough as it is, considering they had so many defensive roles. A mirror and a bomb would BOTH take out people who targeted them, so that really turns all of our killing roles against us. I don't think the Hider should have also redirected NA's, as that makes it that at least half their team was pretty much untargetable by NK's. And Shinori could have just continuously hid behind the mirror.

There are actually a number of things that I would change to run it again - and I am truly sorry that my schedule imploded during the game. I tried to balance that out as well as I am usually much more active on the QT's and with helping people figure out rules, etc. This is my most complex setup yet, and I had the least amount of time to run it, and that just sucked. On the upside, the things that I had to take care of in RL benefitted greatly from the time that I spent on them, so I can't complain. I'll just have to make sure that my schedule is clear for Blades Of Suras.

I don't think the Hider should have worked like that. And Darthe, it wasn't like yall had people that were just hard to NK, you had roles that reversed kills back on the killer, which nullifies a lot of our killing roles. Add to that that we had limited uses for our kills and I think it was balanced from the start

Apparently Shinori was able to Hide behind any living player and would then be protected by their Role. So it was Darthe's Mirror effect that did you in Despo

 

So I'm guessing this was also why I got hit by my own Janitor effect.

No... I janitored Shinori who Despo had tried to kill, except that Shinori was hiding behind Darthe, so both Despo and I got hit with our own actions. It just happened to be at the same time as I was getting killed by your team.

 

DPR: if there wasn't an NK submitted on me that night, what would have happened to the janitor action? Would there be no coroner report on me if I eventually died later on?
