Carrying this over from the other thread since Ape has trouble reading directions...

 

But what Ape is saying only works if every lynch is pretty much random. With actual scumhunting, the lynch won't be random. It will be looking for those that are probably more scummy looking

 

Wrong. I scumhunt harder on D1 than anyone, but all I'm trying to do in that effort is make a better guess. It is still a guess, one that we've told ourselves is an informed one, but a guess just the same... and I still have a 25% chance of being right. Period.

 

I agree that it is a guess, but a good guess has a better chance than a bad one. For instance, lynching an inactive is one of the poorest ways to scumhunt usually, as it basically is an odds game and that's it. In a lot of other situations tho, you'll have situations where a wifom has built up to where basically there's a 50/50 shot that someone is telling the truth or lying, and in those situations you basically have a 50% chance of catching scum.

 

Actually, I don't. I continued that argument there because it is about statistics, not the game's content. I didn't see any reason to discuss this here.

I'm trying to decide which direction to go with my vote. Do we want to kill off scum from thread #2 or town from thread #1? The person who stands out to me as most likely to be scum on thread #2 is Peace, but I'm less sure of that than I am of McClane being town on thread #1. For now, I'll go with the one I'm more sure of and see what develops.

Meh, I won't continue the statistics argument here. Anyhoo it's kind of funny that Ape called Lily scummy when she is essentially saying he seems town, but since he's opposing town to her (since she's trying to play it off that Red was town in game 2), he's still an opposing player

I'm hoping everyone understands the game we have now. Everyone is going to seem really scummy due to the current set up.

 

We have Town Fatima players.

 

We have Town Javier players.

 

We have scum Fatima players.

 

We have scum Javier players.

 

Basically no matter which team you are on there are 2 scummy groups opposing you.

 

 

So when someone flips, say, Town Fatima...we aren't gonna have a clue what the train is comprised of.

Hmmm... so Lenlo was a random lynch without a coroner report cause they didn't secure a lynch, plus 5 others got bitten and might die... prob the peeps that didn't vote at all I bet... and Kate apparently got poisoned. Well at least my thoughts on her seemed to be spot on.

 

I'm still not sure about Peace now tho. Kate getting poisoned could have easily been an attempt at framing him, but I dunno... the person that was standing out the most to me after Lily ended up flipping town is Player. He still seemed to be egging others on yesterday, and his post apologizing to Lily after she flipped seemed pretty scummy to me

 

I agree with you. And I would also like to point out that player and peace had a little spat, which looked like some distancing to me. Mafia team mates perhaps?

 

I have no proof of that mind you, just want people to pay attention to those two and their interactions.

 

And peace, a little quick on the explanation there don't ya think?

 

I mean, why would anybody think that you poisoned her? Maybe cuz you two were at each others throats the whole day phase?

In all honestly, I've been playing a "not really playing yet" game. I did a little pushing and pulling to try to get in a comfort zone, but ultimately my travel over the weekend rendered me pretty non-participatory. Not sure how you've reach any conclusion based on that, but whatever, knock yourself out.

 

I don't think you've got an actual premise. Looking back at my play, I think you could argue it either way to suit your agenda.

I didn't call Lily scummy, I said "scummy Lily is scummy" meaning she's doing that thing she does that makes her come across untrustworthy, post a bunch of meaningless fluff along with a vote ... it is said to her quite often. I wasn't omgus FOS'ing her and calling her scum.
