If you thought Lily was off, why didn't you vote for her? This is a real proper question I would like answering.

Also it was graendal's friend. He said he had to stop wombat getting lynched and that now he won with Town, but he didn't know what he would get viewed as and mention something about a symp thing, but is a git to get all the way back to there on my phone.

Also - I really do play like this. Someone has recently described it as annoying but effective lol. I think I prefer Peace's description and even EP admitted I don't muck about on Day 1. I can't abide meaningless chatter. You haven't been around for a while - I did try and tell you.

I did notice GF saying he knew Wombat was town, and I was wondering about that, but I didn't realize he was also the person who mentioned symp.

As for Lily, I started the game with a town read on her, mainly cause I had a mafia read on you and I felt you were tunneling on her, but I def started to waver in my opinion of her scumminess. Either way, I still felt Rand was a better option at the time. /shrug

As for your new gameplay, I guess I was mistaken since many have come out to say I was wrong, but it HAD been a while since we had played in a game together. I agree about the ending day 1 mindless chatter asap tho, and tbh I think it's a silly gripe that the old school mafia players have against us "new blood" mafia players. The real enjoyment of mafia for me comes in the nitty gritty scumhunting and tension and such, not the blather and chit chat that I used to see dominate some games. Some spam can be okay, but imo mafia games shouldn't be spamfests.

One second ... You voted me before Lily even came into the equation - so why say it was my view on lily that made you think I was mafia. You turned on me, because I came in with a hard vote on you straight away. Hmmmmm.

I already mentioned I didn't like that Kae thought Mafia were driving the JLM (EP) vote when it was a necessary thing based on the direct actions of EP the day before in relation to a now known Mafia Godfather. I think it was in my list of things I don't like at the moment. Or maybe just before BG announced EP was Mafia.

You should Mod a game or two. It gives you a whole new perspective. I'm looking around DM and I see most of the players who are actively known for having Rep have Modded games.

I really recommend it. You learn a lot when you can look over the labyrinth.

What the heck? I thought I posted earlier. Probably forgot to actually press "post" >.< Anyway, here it is:

Despo, I take back my whole case. I'm not going to follow a case that a scum was trying to push.

I did initially vote you for your meta, did I say that I voted you cause of your stance on Lily? I thought I made it very clear yesterday the reasons I was voting you. Your continued tunneling on Lily did keep me suspicious of you tho, which in hindsight is obv not as big of a deal since you ended up being right. I just don't like players tunneling, it seems scummy to me.

Oh and btw I don't think I ever addressed this, but I def do not always vote with my first post. Occasionally I'll throw in a joke vote on my first post or something, but not often, and I rarely start out with a true vote, unless I'm late to the party or something.

I want to, I have one game I've been working on, but honestly it seems a little too advanced for my first game to mod. I think I'm gonna start out with a simpler VZWR themed game :myrddraal:

I kinda don't want too many to look it over

I want yall to be able to play it! It will have room for 21-24 players or so, kitchen sink game

Posted

Oh geez

Well the likliihood of me joining is middle to low anyway

I generally don't like joining games THAT big unless I really really like the theme

For example take DPRs Spider mafia coming up

It's DPR how can I miss it right?

1. It's kind of huge and I don't tend to like games over 20 people

2. MOTHERF*****G SPIDERS! x_x

Ditto Alanna's game, too many people and even though I like WOT I'm not really into this particular theme

It's cool if you don't want me looking over it though and tbh Kitchen Sink games are almost impossible to balance anyway IMO

BG remembered it well. The day Robert Jordan died was a blow to him. He wondered if he'd ever get to finish the series and find out the fates of all his friends he'd grown to know over the years. RJ's words that the story would die with him and he didn't want anyone to finish it rung in his head. He knew RJ wasn't doing well... he had heard that RJ changed his mind and was quickly working on his deathbed to get as much of the story's notes out so the series could be finished... but part of BG wondered if it would ever come to fruition.

So when BG heard that Brandon Sanderson would finish the series, he was suspicious and optimistic at the same time. Would it feel the same? Would it have been better if the series was never finished? BG just didn't know... but he was excited nonetheless. And moreso, BG was excited because he was attending BYU at the time... the same place Brandon Sanderson taught a creative writing course. How cool was it that the Wheel of Time was being finished right where BG lived?

When the time came and the release date drew near, he heard that it would have a midnight release on BYU campus with Brandon Sanderson. Awesome Sauce. BG couldn't wait. He had classes and couldn't wait for days on end, but at 5:00 AM, he lined up. There weren't a lot of people there at the time and BG was relieved. People in line were understanding and saved his spot when he went to class. But between classes he always came back... The time approached and BG got his book. He chatted with Brandon for a bit...

(That's right... #10.)

When he got home at 1:00 AM BG started reading and didn't go to class the next day. While the voice often felt different, the book was most satisfying. He could feel RJ's voice in some scenes, but Brandon managed to not imitate RJ, but compliment him. It reinvigorated BG's love of the series (and changed his opinions of Egwene). Brandon pulled it off despite the awkward looking cover. Robert Jordan had died and people were suspicious of the book wondering if it'd be able to live up to the expectations set by the rest of the series. It had a new author and that made it different. Many people were afraid of the new writing style. Many people embraced it. TGS was able to bring many wavering fans back to the series but some couldn't get over Mat's voice being off. It had a great responsibility to either make or break the rest of the Wheel of Time series. Any way you look at it, it certainly packed a punch and the impact on The Wheel of Time will never be forgotten.

BG had also gotten a copy for his sister (who still had his Big White Book), and sent it to her, but unfortunately *it got lost in the mail.

Peace - The Gathering Storm - Town Vig has been NK'd

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reading The Gathering Storm reminded BG of reading the first book he had to wait for... Winter's Heart. BG remembered going to the book store and seeing it there wanting it after he had waited a year or so since finishing the last book. He was in middle school at the time and had been waiting for it to come out. He begged his Mom to go and get it on release day... but he had to wait until his Birthday before he got to partake in it's goodness.

The waiting drove him mad and he needed something to bid his time over to feed his WoT need. So, in the meantime, BG began bidding his time by hanging out on Wotmania.com under the name kritter. Writing theories, re-wording songs to be WoT themed... pushing himself to the top of the Wotmania stock exchange. He bought a messenger bag with his Wotmania Stock Exchange points that says Wotmania.com on it..... that he still uses to this day.

Finally the time came and he got his copy of Winter's Heart. It was not a let down. It packed one of those Big Intense Endings that the Wheel of Time was often so great at. It was masterfully done in the way it played cloak and dagger the whole time with how it was going to all go down. Plus Mat showed back up after his ominous absence in the last book.

*However, later on, he moved and in the moving process the book fell out of a box and off the back of the truck Toy Story style. A sad day.

We had a Vig? Why the heck didn't he kill EP/JLM the previous night?

And now we do have 2 deaths in one night. If we had a Vig, there may also be a Serial Killer.

I'm sorry to see you go Peace, Despo - I honestly thought you were playing so dirty cos you had a Power Role or were the SK. I'm surprised lol.

YOU HAVE THE 10th BOOK OF THE GATHERING STORM RELEASED SIGNED PERSONALLY BY BRANDON SANDERSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, that had to be done, that is amazing, and utterly crazy and I want to touch that book.

OK, so I was ninjad by two posts, so let me talk about those.

#1: Welcome Dice, former master!

#2: Yeah, vig death on the second night definitely not good. I understand why he killed Despo, I felt suspicious about him as well. I really thought he was mafia. Sorry to see you go Despo and Peace. Also, since the vig didn't say even or odd night, I'm assuming there isn't a SK. There might be a 1-shot SK, but I don't think there will be anything beyond that since the SK would have already started killing day 1 or day 2. I think Peace holstered the first night since he probably didn't have a really good mafia read that night, which is probably a good strategy generally, it would have worked for that night, but I think generally it's better to holster as vig day 1 unless you have a really strong scum read.
