Nae, I was also thinking about that. In the games where I have seen lovers both of them die when one dies.

How is it that Marsh didn't die? Was he not really the other one? If so who was the other one? BG and the coroner report just didn't say lover?

 

I can't find anything on MafiaScum, but I could swear I have seen something somewhere about an unrequited love role, where the lover thing only works in one direction.

I (or rather, Christine) was the other lover. I don't know why I didn't die, but the Mod probably planned a way for me to die as a result of Mynd's death.

Strange speculations. Why would you be alive although your lover died and instead it would take less votes to lynch you? I guess the mod hasn´t told you that since you said "likely".

Here's a wild thought: if Iron was targeted by a doctor, would that be enough to prevent him from dying when Mynd died, even though he wasn't the one targeted for the NK? That's the only reason I can think of, since Iron has indicated that the lovers role was not one-way.

That could be true... I hadn't thought of that.

It's given me food for thought in terms of ever using the lovers role in a game I run; what I suggested about a doctor protecting the lover who wasn't NK-targeted isn't anything I would have ever considered if it weren't for this game.
