That is not a "list" that is a name. One name does not a list make. You started out saying it was all in the maths.. which, as several people have pointed out but you pointedly refuse to acknowledge, has nothing to do with leaving yourself out. Nor did you say everyone make a list at the beginning or "leave yourself out of your own list". Not that you even made a list, as I said. Give us the rest of the names and an actual list. That being said. I think this is my first game on DM in a year or so and I'm not about to go look at every game in every section of DM that has been going on for the last month much less a year. So I cannot do your list and wouldn't anyways because I think it's flawed beyond belief. You'd have to take into account the number of players per game, if it was epic or basic, if the mod randomized roles or picked certain ones out, etc.. and that would only work if you looked at, lets say, 5 other games that every single player in this game was also in. You couldn't do it based on 10 games in general because not every player in this game played 5 other games together with just the other players of this game. This is a big elaborate whoha myndtrap that people like you and DPR always do to try to make innocent players look like scum by tripping them up on your flawed logic that you preach so loudly we almost think you believe it too. Then when they flip innocent you say oh, well i guess that theory was wrong my bad. Always an answer to everything and anyone who argues against you is clearly scum. It's kind of funny that at least 5 people in one game have said you are making things too personal and yet you feel those 5 are in the wrong not you. Because you act like you could never be wrong and thats why people have problems with your playstyle. You go beyond the game but basically call people bad players for having emotions within the game. You've now made two people quit yet you see absolutely nothing wrong with how you are acting but think its everyone else's problem.

 

Your reasonings on Basel as to why his vote was dumb to you is the same logic you use in every game against people. Namely.. if you are not for me you are scum.

 

As far as what you said under Tina.. you brought it up more than once.... you only actually mentioned christine after she voted you.

I didn't really care for these last few pages, and I feel like for a day one this is rather cut throat and not really what I remembered.

 

I'll be the first to admit that I'm an emotional based person, I believe in passion and all that good stuff. It's why I took such a long break in the first place. I wasn't very good about not letting my emotions get to me, and felt attacked, and/or would get so worked up about making people believe me.

 

However, I will say this, I do feel "attacks" and cases and meta gaming are all part of what goes into mafia. It's a way to shake things up, however, the attacks I've seen in the past pages of this game are crossing my lines and setting a bad tone to this game. That tone being one of being low and dirty, and accusations that have absolutely NOTHING to do with the actual game. I'll be honest, I'd rather the person I view as the instigator be removed so we can have a fun game, even if it means anti town wins, because this game is about having fun and playing detective and not bashing people.

 

Now, as not to be hypocritical about voting based on JUST emotions, I'm changing to UNVOTE VOTE MYND also because of his vote hoping, which strikes me as desperate, and trying to change the tide to off of him. His theory isn't totally nuts, but it's already been proven that it's possibly highly flawed, and is really sticking to it.

I agree. I suggest if everyone wants to rant against mynd y'all start a new thread and keep it outbid here. If I see anymore in this thread then I'm considering it game play and will have to think its an appeal to emotions plea.

 

There are some things nagging me about this whole set up. I've got some thinking to do on this. Therefore I am going to unvote before a runaway lynch happens. The biggest concern of mine has there been a real ploy here to make others vote mynd based on emotion? Has Christine really quit? Cause she continued to post after saying she was out? Was that a tactic?

 

 

Soy has said she is concerned inactive and shouldn't post. Is this hinderence imposed on her as a result of someone's role? If not why hasn't Soy just said she is out until a replacement is put in?

I don't like how you keep attacking people for past games and claiming you are so marvelous that they'd attack you constantly in future games because, supposedly, you alone are why they didn't win last time. You say this as though Mynd being correct about EP automatically makes him town. I'm still open to the possibility of him being scum, either as sacrificing EP to vet himself as town, or as a competing scum. EP was specified as a member of the Italian Mob. I'd find that oddly specific if there was only one scum team. In a game with this many players, Mynd could be a mafia from a non-Italian faction.

What I am trying to illustrate is that players who have been mafia in past games are less likely to be mafia again. Now, Verbal would be the first to swoop in and say "THATS NOT TRUE" and he would be right in raw numbers. If you flip a coin 50 times, the odds of it flipping heads on the 31st time are the same as the 1st. Therefore, the odds of flipping 50 heads is 1/2. The LIKELYHOOD is not that simple since it would only take one tails to ruin the entire gambit. Still with me? Hopefully this will make sense now.

you're just as likely to scum every time you play a game (well actually the amount of players changes things a little bit)

in the recent past I got like 4 or 5 scum roles in a row for different games

what you're saying is entirely false and has no more bearing on the game than if we sorted players by their names in alphabetical order and said those most likely to be scum will be near the end

Im getting this weird feeling. I kinda want to defend mynd a bit. I must be going crazy.

I dont have time to go through it all properly now but what mynd said at the start was true. D1 lynches often start for complete bullshit reasons on the hope we get one of the mafia. The fact that he just went for it and didn beat around the bush got everyone's tail feathers ruffed.

The ruffling got some interesting reactions though.

But yea, I think what mynd did at the start was just choose someone at random and put some values to it to see help give it some sway (next time just light a torch, works better Mynd ;) )

this isn't how he does it

he actually tries to justify it by calling certain things scumtells and getting in the face of anyone who defends the person he's going after

then, if he feels like it, he'll flip and go after the people who agreed with his BS

 

the difference in this case is that he isn't accusing anyone of being scum for anything they did

he's essentially "picked at random"

I have a feeling Mynd was aware of his own logical fallacy

my guess is he was betting no one else did

 

and hey imagine EP being a member of his scum team or a third party scum and we lynched him
