Ok, so did my reread finally.

FWIW, these are my thoughts on people from the reread:

Wombat, for immediately stating that Des was scum (continuing that), but also because he’s so damn talky and different this game. It’s weirding me out. He also brings up the cult idea first. Continues voting for Des (I assume) based on not much more than he "feels" that he's scum.

Ithi, for her first vote on Ishy. Keeps correcting people on “mistakes,” which is interesting behavior. She defends him and then in a night post she comments that he is making her uncomfortable. Calls basel out for an overdefensive overreaction. Gets mad at people for lynching Des (could be scum trying to hide behind the fact that she’s his bonded and would therefore get mad).

Verbal for his vote on Songstress. He was the first to suggest her voting for Hoof because he was “safe”. Leelous chimes in and agrees with what’s already been said about Des and about Songstress. Votes for Songstress to start competing trains.

Nolder for his vote on Des, his only reasoning being “I’d be ok with a Des lynch”. Feigning that he didn’t know what “cultafia” meant. Jumps onto the Basel “overdefensiveness” bandwagon. (btw nolder, you telling Basel that responding to every post made against him instead of making one concise post was a scumtell made me laugh because you often do this :smile:) . Then “doesn’t care” about either lynch on D2 so he hops from one to the other, avoiding responsibility and the like. Reading into the scene to look at alignment makes me uneasy as well and finally trying to pin the entire Des lynch on Wombat.

Aemon votes for Wombat D1 because he doesn’t trust him, calls Songstress and I out for attempting to “follow” Des, starting a new train, shifting away from scum, etc. Argues with Turin about the trains “only” having 3 people when they are about to go into the weekend.

Red telling Meesh that finding Verbal not coloring his vote was a good catch, but there was nothing said in the rules about color, so skimming? And then tries to say that it was forgotten on purpose so as to not count when Verbal had already addressed why he didn’t color (I think it’s stretching). Accusing spammers of trying to bury the thread (singles out Ithi). Points out Razen and Leelou for “rolefishing” Wombat for wanting to know how he knew someone had attempted to kill him.

Pale, barely talking and then makes a non game related post during the Des/Basel discussion and then doesn’t vote at all. Claims that was “badly done” after the lynching of Des.

Christine for complaining about the trains. It’s not always just about who the train is on, but also about who is ON the train, where they are, and why they are. I also don’t like her comment that “the only ones that should fear the Airship are the mafia team.”

I would be happy taking a longer look at any of these people. As (vote) nolder is my list, I'm good with applying some more pressure to him.

I would ask why Ape has me high on his suspect list, but I already know why. He does it every game. He just doesn't like my playstyle.

You were influencing train momentum. I bumped the posts that led me to this point of view. It's all there. I didn't just put you in my list randomly. It's all explained in my flurry of posts while catching up.

I'm assuming editing is allowed? Anyway, this is my edit: In other words, its not FOS based on you always being smarmy in the things you say - its FOS based on you nudging things, subtly, that in hindsight were anti-town.

Isn't hindsight wonderful? Not much I can say except I was wrong.

Ha. I was making my list as I went along and forgot to remove her after she died.

Really Wombat, why? I happen to think it's most sincere considering my vote doesn't even count today.

Not quite the same. Read what I said above.

That massive rambling list of suspicion feels disingenuous.

This is a weird vote. Your play this game has been different. Not saying good or bad - just....different.

Final Day 1 Vote Count:

Song ( 1 ) - Tina

Des ( 4 ) - Wombat, Crusher, Nolder, Mawthtex

Nolder ( 1 ) - Kae

Songstress ( 6 ) - Verb, Leelou, Razen, Lily, aemon, Ithi

JLM ( 1 ) - Sensei

Verb ( 1 ) - Meesh

Womby ( 1 ) - JLM

Maw ( 4 ) - Des, Song, Songstress, Key

Lily ( 1 ) - ameg

The thing I keep coming back to is the final vote count for Day 1. It would be unlikely that there would be no mafia on any of the three trains that were building on Day 1 and it would be equally foolish to believe that all of the mafia that had cast a vote would be on one train rather than spread out. On the Des train I am suspicious of both Wombat and Nolder. Wombat because he came out of the gate swinging at Des, which pinged me at the time, and Nolder for trying to lay the set up a lynch on Wombat if Des flipped town on Day 2. On the Songstress lynch I am most suspicious of Verbal for calling Songstress's vote on Hoof a hidden vote on an easy lynch (or something to that effect). It strikes me as playing to the fact that Hoof has a tendency to get killed quickly in order to gain some sympathy and gain him at least one more day in the game before he manages to get himself killed. If one flips scum, it would not surprise me if the other does, also. On the Maw train, I still have a gut feeling about Key. However, everyone else that was in my well-thought-out-yet-ultimately-useless case on Day 1 has been killed and flipped town, so I'm not going to pursue that one right now. Because I'd like to hear more from Nolder and because I just plain don't trust him...

You say that as though it is not commonplace at this stage of the game to look at coroner reports, specifically those of the dead townies, then look back at the key influencers on their trains. You my dead, are guilty of soft-pushing trains. I've seen you do this before, you were scum then, and CTM was scum with you and had to swoop in and try to save you from me.

It might be easier to say who is NOT on your list Key.

Ha

You know that Red is dead, right?

Agree with the Ape-ified Wombat here. You are much more assertive this game, I like it. Who were you impersonating in the JN game again?

Oh? I actually agreed with Verbal's point when he made it. Scum likes to bury votes on the easy people who always catch votes. I don't think it says much about Verb other than he hears us say this on JN all the time.

Sorry, next time I'll use short words. And post a billion times in a row.

And it didn't matter who I voted for, as I said, my vote doesn't count today.

Personally I wonder, if Aemon is sure that if one of Verb/Hoof flips scum then the other will, why hasn't he commented on the uber-scummy things Hoof has done, and mentioned HOOF as a possible lynch candidate?

Maybe he knows Verbal is town and hopes that by linking the two, and acting like Hoof himself hasn't done anything scummy other than being "defended" by Verb, a lynch on Verb will help deflect attention away from Hoof.

Just a thought.

Nice try, Meesh. I said "I wouldn't be surprised", not "One will tell us the alignment of the other". I also made it a point to focus on the three trains that were building Day 1, none of which had a Hoof vote.

i don't like the idea of giving someone a free pas Day one just because they've attracted votes in the past. Especially when it was the first vote of a necessary 15. It just looks like a preemptive strike to make sure no one else follows suit.
