Well, my thoughts so far:

 

Nolder made a vote off one post and jumpstarted the game with it. Yay for that. Though his vote is still on her.

 

There have been about three discussions the way I see it. One about the SK possibility, one about mafia rights / wrongs, and one about Ama pointing out that there may be a gambit.

 

For the SK possibility convo, bg did try to emphasize a third party possibility, but since the basic mafia example has one I don't think it is wrong for him to do that, even as town.

 

For the conversation about the mafia advice, I'm not sure what to make of it. It did go on for a little longer than I'd expect, but it did seem earnest.

 

For the jumping on Ama. I'm not too sure if Ama was trying to plant suspicion, if others were trying to plan seeds onto Ama, or what.

 

In the end, not too many people have posted. I think it is better to get a lynch than a no lynch (that appears to be the consensus in the other few games I am / was in). More people could post that are in this game and, and that would help. At the moment I'm going to remain voteless, but I will vote to try and get a lynch if it seems necessary.

which is exactly what you aren't doing

 

hanging back for the hammer is incredibly scummy

both because it seems like an attempt at being helpful (much like summarizing the thread) and also because it gives you less control and thus less responsibility for who we end up lynching

or so it may seem to you

 

everyone on a townie lynch is always suspect to me

I would like to hear more from Christine, Levity, and Amega all of which are averaging less than 1 post per page right now and as a matter of fact Christine has only made 1 post

perhaps if she posted more I wouldn't be as suspicious of her as I am but posting once and then lurking is a scummy move

 

although her only post WAS indicating she couldn't maintain a decent level of activity

 

up to you guys to decide what to make of it I guess

I see it as a scummy move but if it was made in honesty then perhaps our mod should look into replacing her as she is not meeting the quota of 1 post per RL day

I am going to vote Amadine right now. I think she should have an opinion on whether or not it was a gambit. Then, she goes on to say the reactions to her post are interesting, but doesn't provide any more explanation. Trying to plant seeds of a town lynch all over the place?

it just feels like they're not keeping up and that can be really bad if they're town because it means the scum have a bit more influence/control over what happens today

townies not participating are just a small step up from townies being dead

This is true. Personally, after the weekend is over, then it becomes a problem. No one is all that active on weekends, it seems like.

once we start talking about 10-15 though it becomes daunting and having read about 30 pages in BG's game to catch up I can tell you it is not fun

You know i got the same feeling red...I was really confused about what she was trying to say, but im not soo sure that she is scum... its possible but i dont really think so...id like to here more from you on what exactly makes her come off as scum to you?

Well, it seems that up until now, most of the game has been Nol and Aemon going back and forth with each other about the advice Len has been getting. Kinda pointless I say. Anybody that's trying to help a new player should be applauded says I, not get called scummy just because they have a different opinion.

 

Other than that, not a whole lot to go on just yet. We should see activity pick up after the game tomorrow. Go Giants.

I agree on the, its been inactive due to what is going on this weekend. I still check in, just dont have anything of importance to say.

Also, go Patriots. Now we just gotta replace Romo and maybe the Cowboys can finally get something done...

The argument between Nol and Aemon had the feel of a gambit to me. I don't necessarily think they are involved in a gambit - but i did get that feeling, and posting about it was worth the reactions that it produced.

 

Nol you are one to talk - you sow so much WIFOM in games and come across as scummy all the time. You say what you are thinking why can i not do the same?

 

I think the reactions to my idle comment were interesting. Aemon's was as expected, Nol's was more of a ping - i'm keeping an eye out there. The best one though was Red - she swept in with an OMGUS vote and Fex's tag along vote reeks of scum as well.

like i said, my main reason for voting Ama is for bringing up the gambit and how she reacted to pressure from it. she flip flopped imo, tried to push the idea there was a gambit goign on from the background and then step off from it. Kae pointed out that she seems to be controdicting herself in the gambit accusation and i agree.

 

you only call gambit, or list it as a possability if you think there really is a gambit going on; unless your scum and want to try and stir th pot, considering the reaction people have to the mention of a gambit.

now she reverses and says that is a possability, but keeps it flip floppy by also stating she doesn't think thats whats goign on.

 

then she goes no to cover herself with the underlined statement. which gives the impression of her trying to cya by implying she threw the word gambit out there to guage reactions.

he was criticizing the game for moving too slowly but hadn't voted himself

the way I see it there is two options for any mafia player

 

talking or voting

if you're NOT talking you had better be voting
