You have to earn Czarina or Duchess... both by feat of arms. Empress... *shrugs* I'm not calling you that... but you're welcome to try the others... I have a better title for you.

*laughs* I'm not that bad, surely?

bah, I don't want to be an empress. WAY too much responsibility and I'm up to my eyeballs right now with that crap.

Madame Loraine? *smirks*

What's everyone up to this weekend? I'm debating taking the girls to a reptile show because I can get us all in for free (I'm a teacher, I have a pass for Peanut and Tadpole is under 4 years old). Dana's racing, so my birthday luncheon with my mother in law will have to wait (again). She's probably forgotten about it by now, anyway.

That sounds fun! I am going to be running a scribal sweat-shop in my house (though the person painting scrolls will primarily be me). Our Kingdom has a couple of new awards, and Their Majesties requested about 30 scrolls of one of them to take with them to War. We have a week to get them finished! (So far 11 of them have been painted this week.).

On top of that, I will be cleaning my house, and figuring out a complete supply list of everything I need for the skit my Wolf Scout Den (I am also my son's Den Leader) is performing at our Blue and Gold Banquet at the end of the month. It will have a set, and sound effects, and costumes (all simple stuff, they're 2nd graders). :) I am hoping to give them a fun and not-scary theater experience. I even wrote the skit myself, based on the talents of my group of guys.

Lady, you have a packed weekend!

My son has a baseball tournament all day tomorrow.  I'm going to check on Sunday for music.  Our town has been bringing in great classical musicians and it's free if I bring my student.  He likes it as well.  Need to do some clean up in my back yard too.

Ryrin, best of luck to your son's baseball team! The classical musicians sound awesome! Who have they been bringing in? (Anyone or group of particular interest?)

Well, they are well known but I need to see who is on still. I'm at the baseball tournament with son #2. Beautiful weather! Texting son #1 who said some very nice things to his mother. Tears up.

I need a pedi and a foot massage.

I'm glad the weather is beautiful! It's lovely here today too. Chilly, but beautiful. We had a surprise bit of fun this afternoon. I discovered this morning that the local University's Vet Med department was having an open house. So we went over and got to see all sorts of exhibits and demonstrations. They had the OKC Disc Dogs up performing (frisbee tricks), and agility dogs, and the local K-9 unit did a demonstration. There were local rescue shelters there with dogs for adoption (So very hard not to come home with more dogs. But we really don't have room for more right now. Alas!) And they had information on cattle and horses and a wonderful lecture by a nearby Eagle and Hawk rescue.

So that was unexpected but a lot of fun.

I slept in.  Going to do a little bit of cleaning and then last night, Hiarth said he was going to see Jack the Giant Slayer so we might go this afternoon.  Having trouble finding out the details about the musical performance.

I got sun burned yesterday and the game.  today, cool and overcast.  :-)

Lady, that sounds like a lot of fun!

So, my weekend: baby threw up Saturday morning, ran a fever all weekend. I did manage to go out with my mother in law and sister in law for dinner, though. :)

It was fun, Ryrin! Today was a day of painting more scrolls (Gulf Wars is only a week off, I've still got some to finish to send with Their Majesties!) and watching movies with friends while we painted. Today's films: Teen Wolf, Hercules (Disney), Sister Act, and A Knight's Tale. Amazing how much artwork one can accomplish with friends and fun films to listen to!

Glad you enjoyed the movie. I haven't seen it yet.

Hope the baby's feeling better, Lor! Glad you got to go have a fun dinner though.

Kyn had spent the last two weekends packing for gulf wars. Lol y'all need to get together and send me pictures!

So far the girls are better. The baby didn't sleep well, no neither did I. :( I've been up since 3:45 this morning and it's 9:45 pm here, now. I'm kind of surprised this post makes sense.

PS- if it doesn't, don't tell me. Let me stay in my little bubble of delirium...

Unfortunately, my artwork is going to war, I am not. I have to work that entire week and my son has school that whole week. And the drive is just a little too long to make a weekend out of. Hopefully next year! Next year Spring Break is supposed to overlap war again. And then both I and my son will have that entire week available! (And my husband gets 'real' vacation time, so he should be good to go.)

Aww, I'm sorry you don't get to go,Lady! Kyn says it's a ton of fun. We'll pull for you to go next year. :)

It is HUGE amounts of fun! I have been twice, and loved every minute. We haven't been since before we had our son, and I know he would love it. He really enjoys all of our local events, and we went to a war in Colorado a couple of summers ago (Battlemoor I) and he had a good time even though I spent the entire event as Entourage to Their Majesties, and he was only four, so he had to follow me around for four days while I worked.

*grins* so, now that he's older, he'll be running away from you with a wooden sword and trying to find a knight who would take him as a squire...

*smirks* yeah, that's probably not how it works, but I had a "Sword in the Stone" moment there.. hahahaha

Posted

Actually, that's pretty close to how it works... hit people long enough and well enough with a wooden sword until a Knight notices... then you get the shiny red squires belt.

Posted

*Grins* Yep!

Though so far my son's preferences seem to be for the horse and the bow. So he may decide to be an archer or prefer the joust. Though he has a natural hand for the sword already. We shall see what he becomes in his own time. He also has quite the scholarly bent.

I usually set my plans in motion on Friday.  We have a thing in the paper that lists all sorts of stuff going on and I like to plan around that.

That's what I call well-rounded, Lady!

As for me, I've talked my husband into taking the girls to the zoo on Saturday! :) note I just have to get rid of this migraine...
