Well I am going to check in here once a day tops. I am somewhat glad I didn't slog through the 500 or so spam posts in this thread since it would have been a waste of hours of my life since I'm getting lynched the first day in. Given that I am town and haven't been acting at all suspiciously in my opinion I can only conclude that it is some sort of culture clash that people are pinging off me so hard when the stuff I have been doing has never been considered scummy in other places I play. Again I am not taking it personally, I just don't think my chance to get the wagon off me is high enough to justify the time it would take. Since it looks like the player base here isn't viable for my huge size game, and I dislike both joke votes and the various excessive types of spam posts, I will bid you all fair well after this mafia. Now hurry up and lynch me. And since asking to be lynched is pretty much an anti town play, maybe just do a policy lynch on me :)

Eh I feel kinda bad even trying to convince you to keep trying our mafia out, as I can guess how I would feel in your position (I'd prob wanna kick DM mafia in the crotch), but I will say that this game is COMPLETELY different from how most DM mafia games are. There's no deadline really, and this pretty much has helped some of the players drift in and out of spammy conversations throughout. I mean I've NEVER seen this kind of scumhunting apathy in a mafia game, just look at how many players are complaining about having to do rereads. I for one decided not to finish mine since I get FOS'd right after coming back in to try being more active again.

 

Plus, I can also vouch for your thoughts on Red's meta. I gotta duck as she throws something at me right now, but honestly I find her playstyle to be harmful to town as well.

Anyhoo she's right that a conversation about her playstyle will only serve to distract us from the scumhunt, so feel free to PM me and we can talk crap about her and other's playstyles

 

@Red: thanks for clarifying the thing about the vote controller thing, I knew I was still missing something there.

 

I honestly don't know how in the world anyone can try FOS'ing me for that btw. I mean seriously. Do you really think, that if I had a QT, that I would have been asking the questions I was asking in the game thread? Uhm lemme go ahead and say HELL NO. Anyone who doesn't realize that, well I just don't know what to say since I'll prob get modkilled for questioning the intelligence of that concept.

 

Incidentally, even though I've played rl mafia many times, I'm still relatively new to forum mafia, and def not experienced with roles that manipulate votes, so I'm sorry if I got a little confused.

 

Anyhoo, I guess I'll just wrap up another good ol WoT of mine by Unvoting Cuathon. His reaction to this right now seems legitimate. Hopefully he'll wanna continue playing, assuming we don't end up lynching him anyways. I don't really know where else to place my vote for now though, and since my reread is on pause for now I'll check back to see if everyone's still looking to lynch me for an incredibly dumb reason and decide if I wanna check back through this monster of a spammed mafia thread so I can make my own decisions regarding someone's scumminess

I don't know about Cuathon. This is his first DM game, and he hasn't read the thread from the beginning, so misunderstandings are understandable. However I wouldn't be surprised if he turned out to be scum. From the Red vs. Cuathon "fight" I'd rather believe Red. Her reasonings make more sense to me. So, I won't go voting on him yet. If he still does something scummy, I will consider voting.

 

I also don't believe that Ishy would be a VC. He reasoned that well, too.

 

And we have a deadline? Well, now the days pass faster.

Also, I agree with Tina and Red about Des. At this point I see him as the best lynch candidate. It can change, though, if he explains it out well, or someone else does something more scummy.

Ok folks, here's the thing. Remember yesterday when I got switched? I viewed Boyo and got lightsworn. Apparently I was switched to Nyn though. Remember the confusion about whether I should get soys name back or Nyn's? I got Soys name... Well, today I call BS to all that. I know for certain my viewing was redirected last night. I was returned a different name than I submitted.

 

Maybe Cuathon's predecessor got RBd night one? But check Reds list on that. Also, since I know I was redirected last night,either Cuathon is lying, or Red is hiding another switching role.

 

This is the entire reason why I'm voting Cuathon.

Its impossible to make a case on Red on account of "its just my meta". Red was pinging like hell to me, but everyone backs up her meta claim afaik, so that makes it difficult to make a case. However, if you were in fact redirected and not a mafia player lying, then Red is incredibly suspicious because I was not given a message indicating I was role blocked(again maybe you guys don't even do that here for all I know) and I submitted the action I said. So to me it comes down to you two. One of you is lying imo. I don't think Des is suspicious. It would be stupid to pull a vote off me if Des was scum.

 

In any case given Red's meta claim I guess:

I was tempted to vote Red because her meta is so moronic and anti town, but I suspect people wouldn't like that. I will say that Red, there is a difference between being aggressive in scum hunting and faux tunneling other players, and flying off the handle against the most minimal questioning of your own role's validity. You said you were just being aggressive, but you weren't, that would imply that I hadn't been questioning you, once that happened you are being defensive. As for my whiny post, the lynch being pushed on me was a lot stronger than the non-lynch being pushed on Red when she started shitting bricks. Just something to note after you waste a lynch on me and I come up town. This is my post for the day.

Just modkill me then dude. That's not a personal insult. Your play style is incredibly anti town, and in a game where the goal is to be pro town that makes it a stupid thing to do. Shockingly doing one thing stupidly does not make you stupid, smart people do dumb things all the time. Skill or intelligence is on area does not translate into the same thing elsewhere, and neither does incompetence transfer to other areas. Clearly there is culture class even outside of mafia play style. You implied that I was dumb first in any case, so you are a massive hypocrite. I'll let you find the post where you "effectively" called me stupid. It would normally not bother addressing a post based on a logical fallacy, but you called me out on it when you did it first, and I always call out hypocrisy.
