Welcome Turin! And Spirit - just play, then you'll know in the next game more of how everybody's going to react. I'm pretty new in mafia too.

Vote Nolder

I think he's being rather too aggressive.

Actually, I think Nol is trying to appease the crowds and find your vote a bit opportunistic and a great spot for mafia to slide into. Unvote Des, Vote Ledinna

putting grammar aside I don't recall you misspelling a word let alone multiple words in the same post

Amega also sometimes uses the wrong word but spelled correctly (example might be mixing up "now" and "know")

the main difference between you and Amega is that you're usually very clear with what you're saying

sometimes it's hard to understand what Amega is getting at

when i'm in argue mode on these games i often feel i'm not clear enough  though it does look like my "sound the word out" is working well for my spelling

I do those kinds of things when I'm trying to prove something to the person I'm arguing with

I could easily tell Panda was not interested in anything I had to say for the get go

I trusted that you and everyone else could see that and that, if you wanted to, you would double check the facts for yourself

I have to say everyone's reaction to this is highly disappointing

I'm not liking the expectation that I "blow up" and defend myself all out when being attacked

TL;DR: Panda has no case and I thought that was obvious. I'm disappointed everyone is too lazy to see that for themselves and expects me to spell it out for them.

peoples reactions to you are mainly from Metaing you. a change in playstyle pings just as much as the playstyle itself. i personally like your playstyle, but then again i'm also an agressive player as well. best thing you can do is pick a style you like playing with and stick to it; eventually peopel will know it's your normal style and will stop lynching you for it  thats what i had to do anyways.

its not that we're lazy, it was the change in your playstyle on this one event that drew attention as well as your reaction (or in this case lack of one); not to mention your back & forth with Soyo that already had you in the lime light.

as well as mention that the way you shrugged off Panda's accusation felt like a scum trying to ignore a question in hopes it would be over looked.

lol what

I don't even know what trains exist right now

I haven't been paying attention to the vote count

you're making me about to be a far better player than I am Red

first off, you are a great player Nol; not the best, but don't discount yoruself as a player in this game.

2nd, trains wasn't the best word to pick. potential trains is the best way i can put it; though Soyo does have a train on him. it just seems like your intersted is vested in more than one place and you have your fingers in multiple pots. to me, it feels like an early move to set up future lynches; not to mention the Soyo interaction feels off still. and the fact he's laying low now once this has been brought up pings me even more; i know he said he'd be on an LoA, so i'm really intersted in what Soyo has to say about this once he gets back.

You are going extremes, Noldy.

Opposite of over defensive is holing up and doing what you did with Pandy.

Refute, but don't go on tirades.

Burning up isn't cool. But neither is being ice cold, yo.

very elequantly put Ed, and ditto again.

I'm not really sure what it is you want me to comment on. The whole "mine and nol's convo felt off"?

Ummm... sorry? He pressured me about my vote on amega, and the "cast one out there" line, and I responded in kind... Was there something in particular that felt.... "off"? Can you offer any clarification?

Welcome to the game, Turin!

I'll be voting Dinna if she doesn't respond soon. That was the most scum-tastic vote I've seen recently, and that's saying something...

How strange that I'm taking Boyo's side yet again.... XD

Red, if that's actually the case, then what on earth is he supposed to say? You can't really defend against "that felt scummy" with anything except "I'm sorry you feel that way, but I'm not scum." Minor FoS on you for trying to make it out like Boyo was purposely avoiding weighing in on the issue (which is something I've not seen him do at all this game; he's been very present if you take his schedule into account) when there's nothing he can say anyway.

Personally, I didn't feel Nol and Boyo's interaction felt forced. It's interesting that no one said anything about that until...Pandy? Whoever said it first....mentioned it, and now all of a sudden it's "Yeah, I definitely felt like something was off" from a bunch of people. Did you, now? Why not mention it when you noticed it?

I'm not seeing as much on Nolder; I could buy him as a scum candidate but at this point I haven't been getting that vibe from him much at all. In fact, the only thing (still) that keeps him on my active scum suspect list is just the whole Nol/Amega thing that I posted about a few times earlier. Everything else that people have been making a stink about hasn't looked weird, to me. Especially his reaction to Pandy--if you noticed, he (pandy) wasn't accurate about much in his original post. Since he was definitely wrongly summarizing AT LEAST my actions, it didn't seem too far-fetched to assume that Nol wasn't just overreacting, and that Pandy also totally misrepresented Nol.

Ledinna's vote is definitely very scummy. Metaing a bit, her play style comes off very very scummy to me everywhere thus far, and the one game that I've played with her that is over, she was town, although I would have bet a lot that she was scum, up until the last little bit of the game. So, I'm keeping my vote where it is for now, although I'm willing to string up Ledinna for her post. I can't get an unbiased read on her in this game unless she posts a bit more. XD

i said i would find his reaction/response to this intersting, not that i wanted to get into a debate about it or have him disprove it Meesh. and honestly, when someoen flings the "gambit" card or hints at team work and it's "ignored" or not addressed on thread, that pings me. same when a perosn ignores accusations against them or shrugs them off (like what Nol did to Pandy)

i dont remember Pandy insinuating there was a gambit between the two, only that Nol was being contradicatory in his vote. but i could be wrong in that.

to the underlined - maybe because all this happened over the long Holiday weekand, when i wasn't at a computer where i could play Mafia properly and point it out. had it happened before i had my brief LoA from all but keeping a vote count current in the game i'm modding then you can bank on the fact i woudl have said something about it.

To the first bit, fair enough. Although, I still stand by what I said--as a veteran of the game, the only reaction/response he could really give is "sorry you feel that way, nothing actually there though." Overreacting would make him look scummy. Ignoring it would make it look scummy. Attempting to disprove it obviously wouldn't work, since there's nothing to disprove. If you just wanted him to react for the sake of seeing him react, fair enough, can't dispute that. It just sounded rather silly to ask for a response when we could all pretty much guess what he was going to say, if not the exact words.

To the underlined...I'm not exactly sure what you're getting at there, at least in relation to Boyo. Clarify, purty please? *bats eyelashes*

It may not have been Pandy; that's why I said "whoever said it first." I don't remember off the top of my head. Someone did, though.

And don't take it so personally, Red. It's great to have a reason for your particular "lapse," but that doesn't explain why no one else mentioned it, if it was so glaringly obvious to them. The holiday weekend may have had something to do with it, but I got the impression that some people weighed in after Nol/Boyo's discussion and didn't say anything, and NOW are saying something, after someone else said it first. Could be mistaken, but that's what I'm referring to.

simple to point, reactions are everything in this game, especially on D1; even if the reaction is a lack of reaction on thread.

lol that was more asking someone if they rememebred who, cause from memory i think i was the first topoint out that the Nol/Soyo interaction felt off. if i'm wrong then i want to be corrected *nods*

i'm a very self centerd player *nods* everything in this game is always directed at me ofcourse  on a serious note, i get what yoru saying and i acutlaly agree with that part of your post

Gotta love color codes.... They're so much fun.

Also, you put so much more effort into quoting people's posts than I do. XD I'm super lazy. >.>

I see what you're saying. I think we'll have to disagree on it's applicability to this particular situation, but I do see where you're coming from.

You didn't answer my question about your reference to the gambit being mentioned and then not discussed, and also ignoring accusations or shrugging them off. I understand why you think they're scummy, but their inclusion in that paragraph confused me--I wasn't sure what specifically you were referring to, or if you were making a point about something and those were examples. Okay, actually, thinking about it a bit, I think I get what you mean about a gambit being mentioned and then not addressed--are you saying that since someone accused Boyo and Nol of possibly running a gambit, you wanted to make sure it was discussed and not just thrown out there and ignored?

The "ignoring accusations" bit might make a bit more sense to me in that case, although if it's referring to Boyo, then once again I must disagree--I don't think Boyo's been ignoring anything, and it would look weird for him to stop now, so it didn't seem like a valid concern to me.

Have I answered my own question with that one? XD

Day one for me is all about instinct and feelings. I think this Day 1 discussion of appropriate ways to play is all blah blah blah and I don't really care. Everyone plays their own way. Some like to joke vote, some don't. Some like trains, some don't... yadda yadda. If we all agreed on the same way to play it, then nothing would ever get done on Day 1. So I'm perfectly happy having everyone play it the way they want to play it.

That being said, rarely will you find anything substantial or conclusive on Day 1. Occasionally there will be a rare slip or something, but chances are no. Who FoS'd who, who trained when, how and why? It all blends together town and mafia.... therefore it comes back to feelings to me.

Therefore Levity and yourself have given me the most weary feelings.

You were in a discussion with Red and didn't want to inturrupt that, so I'd thought I'd put my say on Lev.

If you want, I can move to you and we can go from there.

I am of the opinion that D1 is more important than most people think. I don't like joke votes, but I don't begrudge them either unless they extend for too long. I agree that this discussion of joke voting isn't very relevant to hunting scum.

What a snark you are, BG.

Thank you for your explanation, though. And I know you're saying it's mostly feelings, but can you pinpoint what it was that makes you "weary" of myself and Levity?

I'm assuming it had something to do with our interaction, but if not, then I'm *most* interested in hearing why I seem...off (?) to you, and secondarily interested in any thoughts you have on Levity.

If I had kept notes, then probably, and I'll probably need to go back eventually and get something to back it up, maybe later.

But in case you are wondering ^^^ post doesn't help my feelings get any better.
