secondly because out of all the games I've played on this forum I've been mafia...twice I think?

the other games I was either town or a survivor so even if it is true and it is common behavior for me the fact that you're implying that it's scummy seems absurd when in fact it would just be my playstyle for better or worse

Ok key voting joke votes is not helpful to the game there's a difference from not voting for no reason and lurking. Which im not, mearly waiting to see real discussion. And what I've seen is nol jump on christine for absolutly nothing. Which sounds scummy then bounces his vote on me cause he can smell bandwagon!. So if you want a vote here you go nolder for the above reasons.

 

If any of you know I hate inactivity so trying to say id lay low just cause day one voting has gotten boring for me is pretty far reachin...just saying

I'm just kind of sick of the whole day 1 craziness that tends to plague forum mafia (not just here)

First off you read too much about mafia I think. I call Lily out on what I call "Lily White" which is too townie all the time. Each time she has been scum, so take from that whatever you like. If someone seems to be stressing their townie-ness too much it is usually for a reason, 1) they have a power role or 2) they are mafia. Just my experience playing the game. Oh, and if I don't have at least one person sure I am scum every game when I am not I so feel like I am not doing my job of playing.

 

I agree that a lot of day one randomness for randomness sake is sad. However, people's guards are usually down and you can read more from when they get serious. Just my thoughts. Not to mention it is a game and we are suppose to have fun. Getting too serious right away seems to take away from some of that.

 

We still don't have everyone here. So, building a case is pointless I think. My meaning is I like to have at least all the players active before I get down to seriousness. We have several players who haven't done that yet.

Ok, not hoping to speak to soon again, but power and internet were working at home this morning. *fingers crossed it is the same way*

 

I find day 1 randomness to break the ice, unfortunately, it does tend to go on a bit long in some games. I personally do not like the consolidating just to get a lynch plague going on. I'm more ok with it day 1, but any days further in everyone should be more active and scum hunting to not let the timer run out and scramble to not get a random lynch.

That's an interesting statement to make. I seem to recall somebody who was barely active in their first few games, and was actually modkilled in one of them for complete and utter inactivity. I bet you can't guess who....

I don't really see anything too terribly bad with what he's doing. Just trying to get the game started and all. Also, analyzing every post seems to be what he does in the beginning.

 

 

Amega - true, joke voting is not necessarily helpful to the game. Occasionally it is (I've seen it), but still, being here and being active in the game matters. Your post read as if you were just going to lurk until right before deadline.

if you go after someone and then someone else makes their first post and is the scummiest to you that's fine

just note it and/or switch your vote

if everyone waited for everyone before "playing serious" it's possible we could just be waiting until someone gets replaced

some people throw some votes out

a wagon or two forms

and right then should be when people get serious

you can see from votes and wagons that people have a motivation to kill off player X

the hard part is figuring out what it is

it could be mafia...or it could be a townie with a power role with the attitude of "better them than me" or anything in between

and of course the action of the accused is also very important

how are they reacting to the pressure? will more pressure break them? do you want to break them? if you make say...cop claim on day 1 you will likely take the blame despite everyone else also pressuring him
