I guess my funniest memory was my first day of 5th grade. My teacher was out, for some reason, and we had a sub. I remember thinking "oh great! What a wonderful way to start a year off!" and I dropped my head on my desk... and busted my nose! That's right, folks! The dress I picked out especially for the first day came home with blood stains on it. LOL That's just how I roll...

Hi! Well I'm not sure about 'favorite' memory, but I think more interesting is my most 'memorable' first day of school memory, especially since we have it on video.

 

First day of First Grade I stood, waiting eagerly for the bus. Because we lived on a busy street in a neighborhood full of older people, we had arranged for the bus to stop at the end of our driveway.

 

Well, it was also a major through-way between two major streets, so one bus went by....then another.... then another. About six school busses went by, and NONE of them stopped at our house even though I was standing at the end of the driveway with my backpack. So, finally, right before I would have been late, Dad drove me to school. Then he went and talked to the office.

 

Turned out the bus "Couldn't find the stop." Umm...... little blonde girl standing out by the street, hello? So, I was shown the right bus at the end of the day by my teacher. I remember I was terrified to get on, because I was afraid the bus would get lost and I wouldn't get home!

 

Of course, it figured it out this time. So the official video we have of my "First day of first grade" when I get on the bus is actually me getting on the bus on my Second day of First Grade. :)

My favorite memory was actually at the end of Christmas Break, but we were coming from England to Virginia, so it was starting a new school. I appeared with my cute little british accent with southern twang (It was very cute), and some boy tried to flirt with me. Keep in mind it was 3rd grade. He told me I was pretty and so was my accent. I punched him, and when he asked me why, I told him because my daddy said boys just wanted hoo-hoo. Yes. hoo hoo. Anyways, very fun day.

I don't really have favorite memories from any first day, seeing as I hate the first day of any new experience lol It takes me a while to get into a routine. I'm a creature of habit :P And well, I don't have kids but I would imagine my favorite memory of their first day would be me relaxing at home while they're elsewhere xD

I don't really remember any first days. I used to prepare like a week in advance for each one, picking what to wear, how to do my hair etc. I'd lay out my outfit the night before, and then not be able to sleep. I don't actually remember the first days though ahahaha.
