[Advance] JLM's Vampires vs Lychans-Sign ups

In the quiet depths of DM a war is beginning. Vampires and Lychans have finally discovered the community. And they plan to make it their own. Well one of them anyway. Being natural enemies since the beginning of their foul races neither will share with the other. It has become a race to see which can infest the most innocents and destroy the other. But there is still hope for the innocents. You have been armed with instruments to seek out those creatures hiding in our midst. If you can destroy all of them before they reach over powering numbers you will prevail.

 

Rules:

There is one Head Vampire and one Head Lychan. Each can turn one person every 24 hours. Once a person has been turned to one side or the other they may not be turned again. There is an exception to this but I’ll get to that in a minute. If it appears that you guys are “quick voters” I may speed up the deadline to keep the game interesting; don’t say I didn’t warn you.

 

Among you is one person who, unknown to them, is immune to both vampire and lychan, meaning they can’t be turned. As well, there is one person who, again unknown to them can be turned by both and become a hybrid. The game shall take an interesting turn should this occur but in the interest of suspense ;D I’m not telling you what that might be.

 

Regular mafia rules apply.

-No communication off thread unless I tell you in your PM.

-No editing or deleting posts I don’t care if you said Perrine instead of Perrin, make a new post.

-There is no day/night cycle. Every 24 hours the heads of each race will submit to me by PM the name of one player they wish to attempt to turn. In the event that they chose the same player whoever gets theirs in first will get the person (except as noted above).

 

Voting will go as follows, these rules are set in stone this time so no whining, complaining or begging.

-Red bold votes for WHO the group wishes to test.

-Green bold votes for HOW the group wishes to test that person, your options are cross or silver, one choice per person per vote.

-Once a majority is reached on a person AND a majority agrees on HOW to test them you may begin voting again even if I am not available to post results. The slate is wiped clean of all votes.

-YOU MUST UNVOTE EITHER WHO OR HOW BEFORE CHANGING YOUR VOTE THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE!!! (except in the case where a majority has already been reached.)

 

Winning:

-The innocents will win if they find all the vampires AND lychans before they overcome you.

-The races win by becoming the only ones standing. Yes that means that all the innocents may be eliminated and the vampires and lychans will be left to duke it out by testing and eliminating each other, to gain a majority. *NOTE: I will not tell you when the last innocent is gone.

-As long as there are innocents and at least one member of each race alive the game will not end if one group attains a majority.

-There may be other win conditions that become available; I will explain those to the appropriate players as necessary.

 

 

Under the heading of “other stuff” about this game. This is a fast game. It is best if all the players are active to highly active. The game will likely start on a Monday and could possibly be over by the following Friday. If you can’t check in except every third Wednesday don’t sign up, the game will be over before you get here and you’ve cheated the other players out of your vote. By way of helping me keep the game fun, if you see someone sign up who is notoriously a no-show or gets half way on slight activity and drops out PM me, preferably with a link or two to back it up. That said I don’t want any “I don’t like to play with Lily/Mynd/Red (picking on these guys because I know no one feels that way, lol) you shouldn’t let them in.” Sign ups will be open until June 19th or until we get 10 players which ever takes longest.

oh btw do we have to choose WHO before we choose HOW? or can we vote for both at the same time before a majority is reached on either?

if it's the latter then if a majority is reached on one but not the other is your entire vote locked in or can you still change the other half?

questions

 

- once we cast our votes, are there no unvotes allowed, can we change our votes at all?? like if a majority isn't reached on the item or person, yet everyone has voted, is there a time limit as to when the voting record will reset or can we change our votes to get a majority??

 

- do we have a set limit on when votes have to be cast (ie: voting rounds last 24 hrs) or do we have to wait for a majority to be reached before starting the next round of voting?

 

- are there any kills (vig's, sk's, ect). for instance the perosn who is immune to both speicies cant be recruited and wont be "lynched" via the testing, so how is that aspect dealt with.

 

- do we get roles?

Lemme see if I can remember well enough to answer yalls questions. You can and should vote for the who and how at the same time. There are no time limits on voting, if it takes all the first 24 hours to get a majority on both who and how then so be it, you guys have just given the baddies a free recruitment day. Unvotes are allowed as long as the majority hasnt been reached. The only roles assigned at the beginning of the game is Head Vamp and Head Lychan. Everyone else will start the game as roleless innocents. I'm going to say now, those are the only people who will get a role PM. Once I close sign ups I will make the game thread and have it locked until the designated start time. By voting you guys are not lynching anyone, you are using the tools at hand to "test" the candidate, the only deaths will be a vamp exposed to a cross or a lychan exposed to silver.

 

I've modded this game here and at MJ a few times, I'll see if I can find a link so you guys can see how it goes. (Or if someone with PC access might get there first you would make me happy)
