Poor, Jack if Red had a PR it is either gone or someone else has one today. Pertaining to that PR you asked Red to do something if she had a PR. Pfigured you would be smart and see my one post and figure it out. Probably I wasn't clear enough in any of my posts.

Yes, I am acting odd today. That is what PR's are suppose to do. I hate them, I hate them I say. So, lynch me if you want. However, know that I honestly wouldn't have made my son marry that fine young woman with large tracks of land. I would have gladly taken his place since her father was killed.

I noticed you had a PR min.

Red is continuing to post the same way today as she did yesterday. Yours just started today, unless I'm wrong. Am I wrong?

and with those last posts UNVOTE VOTE JACK

Jack you reeek of sympiness. give your reactions to people and you appear to be distracting. i can't see scum coming out like this to help a team mate, but thats a symp's job; to distract a lynch away from a scum member.

your lynch will also give us lots of info too.

I don't get it.. Why would I "plant a seed"? If you think then we can rule out the option that she can't reply for some reason then share it with the rest of us please.

because that's what scum do. i'm suspicious of Moon and i've seen scum silence a team mate under pressure to try and take the heat off them. do to this, the scum normally want a low key team mate to plant the seed or mention the potential for them to have been silenced. your post seemed like that, and was similar to what i was looking for.

as you see, one mention of having been silenced and the player generally doesn't get lynched; no one likes to lynch a person that can't defend themselves unless there hard evidence of scumminess. but it has the disired effect, especially if the next scummiest to the town is a townie.

what info do you expect to receive? What it I have a role? What if I'm vanilla? What possible info could that yield? That was a scummy post. Anytime you make a case red you leave out any other possibility but the one you want people to see. If you were really playing this game for the town you'd lay out the entire list of possibilities. The only way my lynch would be beneficial is if I am anti-town. Any other outcome would result in no information, really. Your so much wrapped in your own sense Of infallible and unassailable correctness that if anyone questions you or thinks different. They are wrong and furthermore they are scum.

pot, please meet kettle. Red your accusing tinker of planting seeds when that's what your doing rite there. "scum silence their own players to take of heat." that's just like saying Moon is still scum without a question of a doubt and even though she's been silenced she is still unquestionably scum. I think moon is scummy personally, but that's beside the point. The point I'm making is your accusing a player of the same thing your doing.

Red, I'm happy with my vote especially after your obligatory overglorified OMGUS. Yeah you get a new acronym oomgus. Your posting is really making me uneasy.

I've been vocal about my opinion that Moon is scum. So if I'm scum is she innocent and your wrong in your assumption. Or if I'm innocent then is she still scum and your wrong in your assessment of me? Are both of us scum and pulling of a crazy unskilled, untactful, untasteful, sloppy gambit? Which is a possibility you haven't even stated.

At the moment though I'm going to vote Leelou as she has done sweet f all this whole game. She said she would post her thoughts sometime at the start of Day 2 but we have yet to see this post. I would like to hear her thoughts before Day 2 is finished.

V, I'm finding this vote so random when we're trying to get a lynch happening today. I understand your reasoning, but... there are many more who have posted just as little as Leelou. I mentioned some in a previous post. I'm very curious as to why you point FoS at Leelou only and not the others.

Wow.

Jack your posts get crazier and scummier. My vote stays where it is.

How is it crazier and scummier? Please let me know. I'm curious as to why you think that.

Posted

When someone thumps me on the nose and says no, I don't back down. It makes me go harder in the direction I was originally going in. I think her answer would help the town in the long run, so I'm insisting that she answer the question.

I think this is fine and dandy sometimes. Right now, though, I really don't understand why you think her stating she has a PR is worth all this fighting. I know you've explained it from your POV, I'm just saying that perhaps it's time to walk away - for now. On the board, your persistence on this matter seems very very thinly focused and a thin focus in a mafia game is always bad for town.

I did not notice anything special about Min's posts.

For a little while I didn't, and then I did. It makes me curious.

@Key

I'm ready to move on from the PR thing. I really am. I stated my peace about it and I hope I'm not saying I told you so in a couple of game days.

But my back and forth with Red has actually made me suspect her. Notice the other post and the things I've said.

I think I made a wee list at the end of day 1 to be honest, but yeah, they may have posted just as little but as far as I can remember they contributed something. I didn't have a clue what Leelou thought(during either day) until she responded to my vote. It wasn't the response I was looking for, but it gives us something from her(basically that she is willing to do what everyone else is doing  ) that I can take into account.

I checked the post you were referring, and I have also noticed player, wombat and AJ(im not a regular. is this Alannalynn?) have been lacking recently. But I remember player posting some at the end of day1/night if I remember, so I got some views from him. It seems he hasn't checked in this day at all, the same as Wombat(who never seems to offer much insightful posts anyway). There is a chance they have been silenced, as has Moon. Well that or they have been extremely busy recently and unable to play.

But thanks for reminding me of AJ, as she mentioned earlier she would be reading through some pages before "attacking". So I shall unvote, vote AJ as I would like to hear what she has to say before the deadline/nightfall.

Sometimes a PR involves not being about to say whether you have a PR or not... i have seen it here on DM before. It's possible that the PR that Red appears to have is a part of her role - as from what i can see she has been "in character" for the entire game, that and she started day one with the PR - usually the giving out of a PR is a night action, as evidenced by Min's PR during today (day 2).

I think Jack's pursuit of the PR angle has not helped the game at all. Red's posts are always WoTs (walls of text), i have never seen her play a different way, sometimes she is on the money sometimes not, however i am not liking the way the focus of the game got pushed away from finding scum, to finding/confirming PRs. So at this stage i am going to

VOTE JACK

unless more light is revealed on the situation.

Ok. I keep reading and wanting to say something productive, but it seems like every opinion or observation I have is pointed out in the next post or two. That being said...

Red has been in character since day 1. Perhaps she has a role, perhaps she is having fun. I ain't hating, and at this point, she isn't really showing any red flags. Red is just playing the way she plays.

Min's posts didn't seem weird at first, but now that I go back and look, they do. Perhaps she is doing it to throw us off. Perhaps she is doing it because she is scum. Perhaps she HAS to do it. I don't really know, but she is not at the top of my list.

Leelou has been inactive. So has a lot of people. It's a big game. It happens. Most of the talking has been Jack being stupid and Red and Charis going at each other. If you don't have anything to say about it, I'm not surprised, because neither do I.

Moon isn't talking. That is very un-Moon-like. I am going to say that if she continues not talking during the night or tomorrow, she is going to be on my radar, but for now, I won't vote for someone that isn't going to defend their self.

Charis was picking at Red and then at Jack. Red is very loud, so I can see that, and I kind of want to throw a WoT at Jack too, but I don't feel like wasting my time.

Jack - you are causing issues and really just wasting the day. If you aren't mafia, then I have no idea how to play this game.

To the voters on my train

Charis: overly trying to sell her innocence, then she was defended by moon who most people believe is scummy. - Leaning scum

Csarmi: not really surprised. I get the feeling he just doesnt like me - No read, bit I'd suspect town

BG: no real scummy behavior. Although he his voting me because I went through on my thought process with reason, the same one he attempted but backed down when Red told him no

Red: been playing like a bully. Conveniently when casing people she has left out posts or parts of posts that'd make her argument less effective. She also refuses to answer a single question, thus fueling the confusion that she is voting me for creating

AMA: I haven't saw her post enough to really get a reading

Christine: basically used Ama's reasons and changed a few words. Opportunistic bandwagon vote, maybe.

So in summary. If you lynch me, you should then lynch Red. Because all of your basic reasoning for voting me is because I've saw a point I wanted clarification on, I gave reasons for wanting it. And because of that I have caused confusion. Where Red, who if she was as town friendly as she props herself up to be could have saved all the confusion just by answering it. Thus making her the fuel to the fire so she has caused as much confusion as I have. So the same basic principals for lynching me apply to Red.

Yesterday I was lynched in another game when everyone knew I wouldn´t be there and that was irritating. So I guess I should give Moon a chance to defend herself. Unvote Moon. I´m still suspicious of her and will consider her tomorrow. I have to go back and read the last pages before I decide to vote instead.

V - i understand wanting to pressure lurkers, especially when those lurkers are normally active. but right now with the deadline tomorrow (almost 24 hrs away) i think we need to be more concerned about the majoirty getting a consolodated lynch.

deciding to apply pressure on someone this close to the deadline, coupled with no thoughts on the present front runners seems like an attempt at spreading out the votes imo.

that's assuming the party your interested in lynching is scum. Your wouldn't be talking about consolidation if it was your lynch. Easy to sound self righteous when your sitting on a high horse :p

I just caught newb vibes from V, peronally.

The Jack lynch is building quickly. I'm not comfortable voting either, at this stage, as I think the back and forth is skewing the perceptions on this particular day. I know a bit about both parties play styles, both are well within character, and both profiles seem to fit town.

Imagine if they got along, and used both thier powers in tandem?

Anyway. I'm not sold on a vote for anyone at this stage. I prolly need to go back and read up on Min. Moon I can hold off on due to this supposed post restriction that everyone keeps mentioning.

Berf - drunken mafia player since... oh, two hours ago?

Posted

If I could work out the logistics, I would totally create/mod a mafia game where every player must be drunk when they post, including the mod.

Quite possibly my best idea in a while.

Posted

That's epic, Krak. It's Krak-tastic!!!!

Anyways, I'm not voting right now. The closest to being lynched is Jack, and I think a lot of those votes are YAMGA votes (You Annoy Me Go Away). (I totally just made up that acronym, LOL.) But, I think he is probably town, and I think Red and Min are also. So I am abstaining for now on the grounds that anyone I vote for most likely won't be lynched anyway, and I have no real suspicions on anyone at this point. Except Moon, and until she posts that is on hold as far as I'm concerned.

I will check back tomorrow morning and see what has transpired. It's rodeo time!

Posted

I have read this thread twice now and I think I need to buy a scumdar cos mine isn´t working. I say like Berf and Sakaea - I was focused on Moon and her scummy behavior but otherwise I don´t see anything apparently scummy. (I like the YAMGA Sakaea. )

I have no idea who to vote for.

A question - Min, you are saying that you have a PR, but I don´t understand what it´s making you do. Vote Red, or? If someone could answer me I would be happy.

Posted

Can I just say again that I think it's highly suspect that this many people would be silent? Not one post from Moon, Wombat, AJ and Player? How can this many people be on a PR? And even Min posted though she claimed to be on a PR, too...
