I'm afraid I don't have the proper site permissions to let you see inside the Gray Ajah forum without you actually joining the WT SG. Sorry about that, Cindy.

But I'd be happy to share what that "Omnomnom Feed Me" thread was about.

That thread was a promotion of our April Discussion thread hosted by an Accepted on the topic of "Light Spring Foods".

Here's a sample of the actual topic as posted by that Accepted:

Please note, this is the Gray Ajah April discussion. While not a formal thread, please keep spam to a minimum. All conversation should be settled around the discussion or something near to it.

April Topic: Spring Foods!

All winter long, people love to pack themselves full of warm comfort foods, and with the added winter celebrations, there is lots of thick rich foods to enjoy. As Spring comes, there is lots of fresh fruit and vegetables available again, allowing a new influx of recipes!

Tomato-Basil Salad

8 medium sized tomatoes, any kind

10 basil leaves

a pinch of garlic salt

a few dashes of freshly ground black pepper

1 T olive oil

1 T balsamic vinegar

Slice the tomatoes into wedges and then cut the wedges in half across the middle. Roughly chop the basil leaves. Sprinkle in the S&P and drizzle on the oil and vinegar. Store in the fridge for 30 minutes before serving.

This is by far my FAVORITE Spring recipe. It is perfect for just lunch or as a side at a larger meal. It is fresh from the garden and can satisfy any pallet.

*Sets out a table of various herbal and fruit teas, a few trays of fresh fruit, and some scones and cream.

So my dears, pull up a chair and some tea, and share your favorite Spring Recipes!

Now food isn't all we discuss in the Gray Ajah. (We love talking about all sorts of hobbies and interests.) But food does seem to come up an awful lot.

And don't be afraid to try joining the White Tower Social Group. I'm sure you'll find that nearly all our Novices and Algai are nothing like the way Novices behave in the books. Individuality is welcome with us.

Oh, and just so I'm not completely off-topic...

I got Red Ajah on the quiz. Lol!

You would join the Red Ajah!

The Red Ajah is known for its handling of men with the One Power. Their job after the breaking is to find and gentle men who can channel, so the world is not broken again.

I'm sure I have NO idea to what you are referring Mirsh. I'm always obedient and behave impeccably lol.

heyas, thanks again for letting me peek at the recipe thread. it inspired me to blog a salad post. i did put in my tomato salad, but i didn't swipe yours, honest. i just had to type it up after i read yours.

if i was in the white tower i'd probably have to do penance for that, so i'll do some laundry, and vacuum, and maybe clean the litter box extra good, and hope it all evens out in the end.

oh, good. so do i. i just get very inspired, and tangent off on a trail of associations at times. really couldn't help writing the salads posts. it would not let me be still. i suppose brown might be the right ajah. . . wait, can you join more than one ajah? cause grey seems to have a deep understanding of food. . .

You can't join more than 1 thing at the White Tower & Warders, no. You start off as an Initiate, then you pick your path, which would be either the Warder or the Aes Sedai path. Once you have reached a certain level, you may then "specialise" further, ie a Warder pathed person can pick his/her Discipline, and an Aes Sedai pathed person can pick his/her Ajah.

The Ajah/Discipline you pick defines who/what you are - it is your home. That does not mean that you don't hang out at other areas of the WT/Warders. Some people are "home bodies" and hardly ever move around the WT - others are roamers (Reds are famous for this) and will be found hanging out at/visiting some or many other Ajahs or the Warders (yes, most Reds at DM do Bond Warders , and/or like hanging out with the Warders).

Narg like Sedai better. Warder get stuck in teeth.

Novices still young and tender. Narg get discount.

There are many who wait as long as possible before choosing an Ajah, or join ajahs different from their book similarities.

I'm a Red Ajah accepted in the WT, but IRL, i'm VERY brown.

Why Red instead of Brown? The DM Reds fit me quite well, like a second home.

You'd enjoy the WT, Cindy, even if you can be only one Ajah.

You are not discouraged from visiting/participating in other Ajah activities or anything.Intermingling of the Ajahs is HIGHLY encouraged, especially in the newest members.

I visit a number of ajahs reguarly.
