Favourite Revelations/scenes and Battles

In all of the Wot books my favourite battle would have to be between dumais wells and the cleansing of sai dean, i really liked the white tower attack by the sean chan but it was pretty much egwene solo.

 

My favourite revelation/scenes would undoubtedly be verrins black ajah out age and nyneave healing stilling.

Yeah, that plan to shield him was really well done.

Dumai's wells was almost disgusting. A good scene nonetheless.

Cleansing of saidin I cheered haha.

 

I also liked when Nyneave discovered she could heal taint induced madness.

End of TGH, Dumai's Well's, Rahvin's downfall are all awesome scenes. There are plenty of other ones that are great, but they're not quite as "grand". Such as Nynaeve and Logain, etc.

When Rand removed the taint, Nynaeve breaking her block, when Rand broke free of his chest at Dumais Wells, when Rand tried to choke Min... favourite in a terrible kind of way, when the three girls bonded the Dragon, Verin revelation, and what the Oath rod really does... and more that I can´t think of now.

These are some of my favourites. I could mention many more...

My favorite battle is the defense of the Two Rivers against the Trollocs. To me, that scene, more than any other in the series, resonates emotionally.

 

My favorite reveal, if you could call it that, is in TWotW, when Morraine tells the Two Rivers folk about how they are descended from Manetheren. Thinking that the farmers and shepherds are the sons of "the Men of the Mountain Home" brings a smile to my face.

I also loved Verin's scene. I felt sad...almost wanted to cry a bit :( She had the best death of the series.

 

Rand destroying the ShadowSpawn in ToM was awesome. The Dragon is back. The Shadow ought fear this man.

When Mat kidnapped Tuon, and finds out she is the daughter of the nine moons.

Moiraine's Letter was such a huge revelation, and kicked off one of the coolest quests taken in the series. Favourite battle was the ToM battle between Graendal's trollocs and Perrin's army/ Gallad's Whitecloaks, Tens of thousands of men surging down screaming "Goldeneyes, Goldeneyes" led by Perrin with his shiny new hammer. Though not described in too much detail, my favourite campaign was Mat with 5,000 members of the Band versus 30k+ seanchan out for Tuon's blood. Think he lost 1000 men before the final fight which had few casualties taking that army down, and drawing another 150k soldiers out of their posts to hunt them.

Also, I loved the scene where Nynaeve got over her block. That is the part when I started to really like her.

Tam hollering at Caudsuane. He should have spanked her.

Rand apologizing to Tam. Lump in my throat.

Rand hopping through the portal stone realities and Baalzamon saying I win again, Lews Therin...

 

Battles:

Perrin rallying the Two Rivers folk and Faile leading the other Two Rivers folk to Emonds Field. That battle was pretty breathtaking.

Dumai Wells is right up there too.

Any instance that had Rand and Tam in the scene together. When Rand nearly killed him, when he cried in his arms in Tear, and also the domestic scene with them together way back in EotW. Every one of those scenes remind us of old, innocent Rand, and as badass as he's become, I still miss Emond's Field Rand.

Perrin bringing the Two Rivers folk together to fight the Trollocs. I gained so much respect for Perrin and Faile and the Two Rivers folk. And it's hard to say that this was one particular moment in the book but as I went further in the series I felt that Mat was finally beginning to accept that he was tavaren and he had some knowledge which couldn't quite be accounted for... this made me like him a lot more.

My favorite battle, by far is...Perrin's fight against slayer! The way it tied into Egwene's tower battle was totally awesome, and the fact that it wasn't a total victory was a plus. I hate Slayer, but I hate our protagonists winning all the time even more.
