All great ones. One I forgot to mention in the original post was Furyk Karede - he was just instantly cool to me with that same sort of Instant Cool that permeated from Bashere, Aglemar and Ituralde. (Basically, ''Tale of a Doll'' sold me).

More of Thoms' POV would be MUCH appreciated. We've gotten pretty good at reading between the lines with him through Matt.

Oliver's run off into Caemlyn would be much more heartfelt if we didn't see everything about him before from someone else's eyes.

1. All of the Forsaken. More specifically, I would have like to see more of their dark deeds in the Third Age or more of their meetings.

 

2. Verin as an alternate persona. Obviously Verin was running around doing stuff. Even if she would have had her identity hidden (from us) during these adventures would have added to the end result of Verin.

I always thought some of RJ's most beautiful writing were scenes with Asmodean. And talk about the very definition of a tragic character.

Agreed with those that mentioned Asmo and Logain. The Black Tower storyline should have been wrapped up and/or introduced a little bit sooner. The last book will have to be rushed and this storyline will suffer greatly.

 

In would have been interesting to see if Asmodean made a full turn to the light. It would also be something to see him interact with Taim.

I agree on Alivia too, shes come a long way and her power level pretty much makes it impossible to ignore her. Just the idea of her role at the Cleansing... Everyone else was in a circle, but not her. She was instead kitted out with angreal and ter'angreal. Loved it, and I want more of it! The fact that she lost to Cyndane wasnt a blow to Alivias potential kickassness, just because it was Cyndane (Cyndane feels just as formidable etc IMO as she did as Lanfear) There are a few characters that I feel have "earned the right" to a Forsaken kill. Moiraines already there of course, but theres also Cadsuane, Aviendha, Nynaeve. Hell, maybe even Sorilea. But Alivia should get one as well. I dont know how I would feel about her killing Cyndane though.

I always thought the Alivia versus Cyndane fight was more of a standstill. Still, even if it was a loss, the fact she managed to fight Cyndane off with her arm seared to the bone and broken solidified her as one of the most bad ass characters in the series.

I like Alivia, with the whole learning to value freedom thing... plus I just like her. Moridin seems to have all kinds of awesome techniques nobody else uses. We all want to know what the hell Demandred is up to. Logain and Lan are just awesome. I wouldn't mind a little more Bashere either.

Well, it may be a bit embarassing (given that I'm 23), but suppose it's just about my own personality. I always get deeply emotionally involved with my favorite characters... the kinda girl who cries on films and books, you know. I was romantic most when I started reading WoT as a teenager and my feelings for Rand didn't change since then (I am still romantic). So, basically, he's kinda ROMANTIC and TRAGIC HERO. He takes responsibility, this heavy mountain, sacrificing himself, having an internal conflict because of the need to act immoral to achieve a goal. And he's so damn talented, and tall and red-haired . I like his temperament- something between Mat (I like Mat very much) and Perrin, courage, determination, nonconformity, independence, shrewdness; that he doesn't indulge himself in anything; his attitude towards women and sex, care, loyalty and this specific blend of toghness and... I can't find the appropriate English word, but something that makes him feel guilty of any injustice, harm, woman's death he causes, his shameful behaviour... His sensitive conscience. And the arrogant way he sits on the throne
