You know Aemon, despite my earlier suspicions of you (I still don't fully trust why you wouldn't have waited another day or 3 before revealing) You have been decidedly less scummy to me than both Red and David.

 

You do seem to pretty open about your role without a ton of manipulating other people's opinions. I'm still not entirely sure what to make out of your claim, but for now... You have my support on account of you seem to walk in the Light more than those who are trying to lynch you.

 

I am willing to admit my early prejudices, I am not one to ignore new information as it comes forth.

Hmmmmm....claiming to be the Dragon Reborn could spark a lot of interest in the Reds, the Blacks, and those blasted Aiel savages. I wonder what his motivation is to reveal such a tid-bit so soon? And why is Blackness so violently against him? And is Red in fact and indeed a RED?

 

Perhaps there are more than one who think they are the Dragon Reborn? Taim? Logain? Rand? Lews? My fat grandmother?

Red, do you understand that it is risky for the town to lynch a potential DR? While you might have your info, you also must understand that we do not. Therefore, it is the logical play to lynch you and confirm your info. If you flip town, then we know Aemon is likely scum. In a game this big, a 1-for-1 trade is AWESOME for the town.

Just a warning. I'm probably not going to be able to get in except for possibly a brief appearance at the 11th hour tomorrow. That being said, my vote is staying where it is. It is not that I have not been pulled by any of the arguments, though I would rather not say which. The "kill Mynd, he has a constant air of scum" argument seems to be a common one in DM Mafia; even Mynd acknowledges the trend with his sig. Even with that in mind, I am completely unaccustomed to people vocally agreeing with me.

 

I'll try to check in a few times tomorrow, see how things develop.

I'm leaning toward Red at the moment, but I wanted to get her answer on this. Not the scum question of course because who would admit that (except Talm in the Warder game which was weird, but I digress), but the one about how her alignment if we lynch her would CLEAR Aemon.

 

as for the possability of a gambit, i'm not surprised someone hasn't called this before. but when i get killed, please don't let my allignement clear him.

Plus Wombat made it clear you couldn't even HINT at who you were character wise and while its true there are several Aes Sedai even in the first book she narrowed it way down with all the talk of the DR. I can name on one hand AS that are closely associated with finding the true DR. I don't like the quote that someone bolded.... "When I get killed, please don't let my alignment clear him" It would only potentially clear him if you rolled scum... that just strikes me as REALLY odd and I'm not sure I see how you 100 percent KNOW that Aemon is false unless you know who the real one is. IF that's the case don't reveal who it is... I'm just speculating here. I'm kinda torn right now but I'd be willing to throw a vote on you unless you can explain the quote and how you could reveal all you did when Wombat clearly said we couldn't.

After reading the discussion going in the last couple of pages, I realised that as trench says we shouldn't lycnh aemon until he produces some results, but red is convinced that aemon is not Rand therefore he can't be the true DR. But whether that's true or not red is still going for a possible finder on Day 1.

Red you have hinted at being aes sedai, and the impression I got was that you are Moirraine, at least, Moirraine is the best character that fits your post about finding the true DR and preparing him for the last battle. But you've only ever hinted at your role but never really came out with it, which is fine because the less information the mafia the better, right?

But then your post saying that even when "you get killed, to not let your alignment clear him". Now, that isn't saying that you're not town per se but that's what it suggests. So I find that you are a more viable vote than bgrishinko is at the moment.

I am not defending Red but I think I understand the meaning of the infamous "bolded statement"...she was saying in reference to a gambit, when she flips town then don't believe Aemon is also. I can't be positive but that was the way I took it. Hadn't someone semi-accused her and Aemon of a gambit?

I'd like to hear from Red on that quote also. For a gambit to possibly clear Aemon Red would need to flip non-town... a gambit would be a moot point if Red flipped town and would give us nothing on Aemon.

IF she flipped town she wouldn't need to say that.. she's pushing for Aemon's lynch. If she then got lynched and flipped town we would all assume that she was right about Aemon and he'd be lynched next.

 

IF she flips not town then we'd assume a gambit or that she was lying about Aemon to try to get HIM lynched.

I get what you're saying...either way, it is making me very suspicious that she hasn't replied back to anyone about the statement. Her silence is speaking volumes in my opinion.
