GANG WARS

 

Setup:

 

In this game we have 4 gangs at war with each other and a pair of undercover agents. Each gang has a rival, which I will reveal shortly. The objective is to be the last two gangs standing or, if it is a 2 against 1 situation, the last gang standing. The same goes for the undercover agents. They will be happy with only one gang around as long as the others have been taken out.

 

Communication:

 

No restrictions. Use messenger, e-mail, talk on the other boards about the game. The only way this game will work is if you are all making alliances and stabbing each other in the back behind the scenes. Set up QT’s if you want. I would recommend putting your messenger info in the sign up thread so that everyone will be sure to have it.

 

Time limits:

 

There will be a 48 hour cycle when everyone must turn in their actions or forfeit them. The cycle can be ended on a hammer vote only if all actions have been sent in. If there are still actions missing, you will be notified. The person with the majority of votes at the end of the cycle will be lynched. There will be no night phase. We enter immediately into the next 48 hour cycle.

 

Rivalries

 

Yakuza (Japan)- The Yakuza are still pissed at La Cosa Nostra for a blown arms deal several years ago.

 

La Cosa Nostra (Italy)- La Cosa Nostra has been trying to expand their operations in L.A. but the Crips have been holding them back. Now it’s all out war.

 

Crips (U.S.)- The Crips got burned on a huge heroin deal by the Mara Salvatrucha and are looking for payback.

 

Mara Salvatrucha (Mexico)- The Mara Salvatrucha are pissed that the Yakuza won’t let them into the Asian Market.

 

CIA and FBI- The streets have been running with blood and it’s their job to finish this war once and for all.

 

NOTE: This is actually the beta test for the themed game I want to run, so all feedback (both positive and negative) will be greatly appreciated.

 

Game starts as soon as Lily's finishes. I can only take 10 players, so it's first come, first served.

Wow, Aemon! This sounds a lot like a game concept I've been working on all year. It's not mafia, but a new game, and the layout is similar. Weird, huh?

LOL. I'm glad to see so many people interested in this one. I hope everyone has a blast playing it. Remember that this one is played mostly behind the scenes among the players. The game thread will mostly be for voting and asking (public) questions of the mod. Most of the time I will have no idea what you guys are up to and that's the way I want it. I should be more of a referee  than anything else in this game.

I modded one like this, Aemon. You remember. My only advice to the players is to the mafia. You're losing a huge advantage here. Make up for it. Be even more devious.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to back out too.  I will be traveling without reliable internet access for 6 days starting the 19th.  Also, given all the off-thread communication and the fact that this is a fast mafia, I don't think this is the type of game that I could just post once a day and be fine.  I really wanted to play this game though and will definitely play your big version if I can.
