I have to agree with Barm in regards to L13. I know he was foremost in my mind when I spoke of bandwagoning earlier. That sort of behaviour is not pro town. Especially for a townie :P.

She knows the feeling of hot blood on her hands, that much she remembers clearly.

 

But the dying face of her victim keeps changing. At first it is the Minister, and she throws a hand over the gash along his throat to try and stem the flow. But she is too late, and as his eyes glass over, she is distraught…

 

The face changes.

 

It is her Captain, the one who gave her the information, and Raisa’s knife is dull. The Captain laughs as the blade barely breaks the skin and Raisa cannot reach that tender vein…

 

The face changes again.

 

 

 

Her memory instantly goes back to that night, when she felt them watching her. It was the same feeling she had now, only this time they were in her dreams.

 

Unable to defend herself, Raisa slowly sits down and looks out at the coming dawn. At least the night is over.

IT IS NOW DAY 2. YOU HAVE 48 HOURS TO VOTE ANOTHER PLAYER TO LYNCH. IF A MAJORITY VOTE IS NOT REACHED, THE PLAYER WITH THE MOST VOTES WILL BE LYNCHED.

 

 

I'm getting two things from this: 1. the bonestone is probably going to be a rather important artifact. I don't know if it is going to be changing hands a lot, but it seems to have the abilitiy to influence/control a person.

 

 

It is her own. She pauses, reluctant to bring the blade down not because she wouldn’t give her own life to protect those whom she is sworn too, but because of the softly glowing stone that covers her throat…

 

With a gasp, Raisa wakes and reaches out with her senses.

 

Bonestone. Someone is using it on her, and they are close.

 

 

and point 2: Bela seems to be from the undecided group.

 

“Why kill the Captain? She had nothin’ to do with any of this…”

“Maybe that’s why, my friend. Maybe it is better to have something to do with this. Sometimes we must take sides, and this looks to be one of those times. Keep your eyes and ears open, and sleep with your blade in your hand.”

 

EDIT: completely missed the next page of posts. hehehe. I'm going to do a reread before posting my suspicions. I just wanted to get my thoughts on the death scene out there before continuing.

So I'm not sure who used an ability last night or if anyone got something like Raisa's 'cloudy' for one of their three abilities. Also I would like to know if we should declare when we find someone who is innocent or try and keep that information hidden for the time being. I'll speak up if they are in danger of a lynch, but right now they are being helpful and not a target.

 

Most of what I have read has been speculation. I ask that we keep it to a minimum for right now. We have two and a half weeks until we have to decide which candidate to vote for and in that time DPR is bound to give us A LOT more confusing puzzle pieces.

 

This is FIRST AND FOREMOST a game of mafia and DPR said a bloody one. So I recommend playing mafia and the things that will keep us alive first and worry about the canidate closer towards the deadline. (That doesn't mean ignore factions or mafia)

 

That being said DPR has added some things to this game... like you must vote every day. I didn't vote yesterday and am worried that when his talked about 'blood bath' comes I among many others will die. So for a place holder vote [glow=red,2,300]No Lynch[/glow]

 

I'm currently digesting and analysing a lot of the game dynamics and setup. When I have a more solid idea and theories I'll present them.

 

In the meantime I find Lily the most suspicious however I think this is more because of previous games and not this game so until I can seperate my bias I'm going to hold off. I did like Hybrid I believe it was idea of assigning viewings. Maybe not in pairs of three since we would have less information but in making certain people view one another so the mafia can't wiggle out of things and we get more information... since how much information will we get from last night...?

The Minister didn't plant the info.  Someone told Raisa that the man she killed was selling information, which was true; he was selling information at the Minister's orders.  I suspect those amber liquid drinkers are involved somehow.

I was looking at it like he specifically sold the info the Minister wanted him to sell (being the info Raisa killed him for)possibly along side other info he wanted to sell. Therefore, planted info.

 

ah, so that would mean that it's a good possibility Raisa's Capitan is one of the Manipulators, seeing as he's the one who told her about Handal selling information.

Fits with her feelings of him, anyway.

Generally hide it in case of danger, but in a game where other people may waste their views on the same person… it’s legitimately debatable. But I don't know if people are going to step outside the box. I could be wrong considering how wrong I was with the no lynch thing though.

On a more serious note, No Lynch is great for keeping our numbers up for end game, but we need information before that time so that we can figure which candidate is which.  Without at least throwing some votes around and testing the waters out before no lynching (if there's no better option), we'll have to rely on a lucky cop.

 

Plus, if DPR is true to Suras form, people are going to die if we're too squeamish to do the killing ourselves.  We might as well try to direct those deaths in a useful direction.  Game setup aside, it's still a mafia game underneath all those layers.

TaDA! Actually there are two sides to this coin. Just wait for the moral dilemmas and the call and responses. This will cut the hell outta some numbers, which should give off info. But you are right. We can’t just use those for info because that leads to the town playing more blindly than they already are.

 

Really, it's going to be more of a personal preferance thing.

 

Speaking of flying blind... Heh. I'm going [glow=red,2,300]no lynch [/glow] until I see something I can latch onto. Not much real action going on since I think a great deal of yesterday was nonsense.

i dunno about the control thing.  i think it's what it says, it's a protection artifact.  the cloudyness does being up questions.  it puts me in mind of a "Smoker" like in Mistborn; where he conceals the alomantic abilities of his team.

 

as for Bela, i'm more inclined to agree with Tayla on that.  i don't think Bela even checked in, did she?

 

I'm very curious to see what DS has to say though.

imo right now it's best to only speak up if that person is gonna get lynched or you find scum and didn't use yer VK on them.

i agree, getting rid of the scum will be the easiest way to win the game, yet i disagree about waiting until the end to figure out which canidate is best to vote for

 

GAME SETUP AND RULES:

 

The Town wins if their candidate receives the majority of votes. The mafia win if their candidate receives the majority of votes.

 

This is the only win condition in this game.

 

 

if we split our focus evenly with Day's being centered on Scum hunting & Nights focusing on trying to figure out which canidate is twown then we wont be scrambling come ballot time.

I thought that at most grouping up in two's would be helpful. However what I suggested was just tell each person who they are viewing makes it less likely for the mafia to get a buddy and more likely we will find scum.

 

'Cloudy' was in DPR's scene with Raisa about her vision. It also was in a PM for a Night Action last night. I wasn't sure if it happened to anyone else last night when they got their PM's for Night Actions or not.

I am another that disagrees stronly with the "no lynch" scenario. It does keep our numbers up, but we lose information that could lead us to finding scum. I'll vote [glow=red,2,300]Alys[/glow] right now because, of the people with votes, she is the one that most strikes me as being a bit off.
