This is my bah post.

And yeah Al, busy in RL = Adella shouldn't be playing mafia. I think my current games are gonna be my last ones for a little while until at least my nephews surgery is done and over with.

There were those in the Hall who would see it destroyed, and that could not be allowed to happen.

In the Hall, there were forever political struggles, power grabs, and claims over the Ministry. But rarely did one threaten the very fabric of their existence.

This time, the threat was very well hidden, very real, and designed to bring the Hall and all of its secrets to its knees.

She searched with her new eyes, and found interlopers at the gates. That could be problematic. An unguarded gate could allow any number of threats inside.

There were black hearts surrounding the Minister, and black hearts surrounding the Captain ho had claimed Beva Perrada.

Interestingly, there were black hearts surrounding the challenger as well, the Bova Perrada.

World domination, total control, eviliness... what more could you possibly want. Obviously there is mafia spread out among all the factions from what DPR has said. And like Talya said most likely neither of the canidates are players. I'm going to assume that from that section that one of the two canidates is just being used by the mafia (aka. The manipulators).

The best way to figure out how to win the game aside from keeping as many of us alive as possible seems to be hunting down mafia and seeing which canidate they supported. They will try and sway our vote in addition if they try to do reverse psychology like Panda said earlier you catch Scum by seeing what is 'unnatural'.

(O' I now consider it night so like I agreed with... I think it was Red earlier during the day hunt for scum at night consider game dynamics)

I think we should be prepared if one of these comes along:

A Russian Roulette Action: It is possible that you will encounter a puzzle of sorts. It will be announced as a “Russian Roulette Action” and go like this: Let’s say you are waiting at port for the ship “Maiden’s Folly” to arrive. Unexpectedly, three “Maiden’s Folly’s arrive and you have to choose the correct one. Choose the wrong one and you die. The group may determine by a quick vote the order that they wish to put the players in to choose. So, if the first player chooses incorrectly they die. Same with the second.  Choosing the least valuable among you to do the guessing would be wise.

Should we just pick the inactives... I really dislike inactives. We could also go with who we think possible mafia canidates are but I don't think we would reach a consensus on it and I think time will be of the essence as by 'quick vote'. It always helps to be prepared.

A Moral Dilemma may be presented to individiual players. For instance, a player may find themselves in a situation where they have to sacrifice a stone or even their own lives to save their team. You will have to decide what to do.

Makes me think there are already bonestones in play... aside from what happened with the information I got from the viewing last night.

Posted

From the Sura's Worldbuilding board

We are inviting any and all to post a story that deals with the details of how they think that Bonestone should work.

Bonestone is the core of the magic system for our world creation project, Planet Suras.

Planet Suras is actually a being, an all powerful being most closely resembling what we would call a god.

The god's physical body is made up of a crustal skeleton shaped like a sea anemonea, the spines extending up to the surface of the planet.

Peices of the crystal are called "Bonestone".

On the planet, people who can form a link with the stone by singing are called "Singers".

These are the basics.

From Sura's 1

Current Bonestone Status:

FOUND AND USED                    The Blue piece will give you the power to change one player's alignment to your choice. Kivam used this piece to turn Talya innocent. She was previously innocent.

FOUND AND USED                    The Clear piece will allow you to block any night action once. This piece was used on the third night to block a kill aimed at Kivam

FOUND AND USED                    The Orange piece will give you two votes on one day.

FOUND AND USED                    The Yellow piece will let you force a player to reveal their alignment/role. Rufae has used this piece to reveal Kivam as a roleless innocent.

FOUND AND USED                    The Black piece will change every player but one into an innocent. The new assassin will not be known to the old assassins. The stone holds a curse, and even if you find and lynch the new assassin, the curse will select another random player and change them into an assassin. The curse will last through three assassins. [/b]

Sura's Mafia II

There won't be any bonestone in this game - That was the theme behind "The Suras Hunt".  This game will pit team against team, and player against player, going along with the War theme (depending on what happens in this game, the third game - The Suras Trap - would be a serious mind scrambler. But that is in the distant future.....)

Sura's Mafia III

MOD CLARIFICATION: I will not give information out with the intent to confuse you. As I post info, you can take it as fact. In this case, you know for certain that the blue stone possesses finding qualities, the yellow stone healing qualities, and the green stone may be used as a weapon to kill.

Summary

The first Sura's game you found and could use the bonestones for one time ability.

The second Sura's game didn't feature bonestones.

The third Sura's game players voted for who would be the finder, healer, and vigilante.

*****************************************************************************************

The Dreaming God stone pulsed in her hand, granting her greater power and pulling more of her into it at the same time. She could see more now…feel more…and the warnings came back to her…

Never use the blackstones alone. Never use the trapstones alone. But above all, never, ever use the godstones alone.

All of the stones were said to be actual fragments of the god. But the godstones came from the heart of he god and held the most power.

Seems like there are an unknown number of

Blackstones

Trapstones

Godstones

In this game which people either have or will soon be aquiring. My assumption is that there will be a few blackstones, 1-3 trapstones, and a single Godstone. These will posses certain abilities.

I'm 99% certain there are bonestones in possesion already and have been trying to figure out what they do or what roles they will give...

Everybody gets 1 Vig kill.

Everybody gets 1 Doc heal.

Everybody gets 1 Cop find.

Be very careful how you choose to use these powers.

In addition, other roles may or may not exist in this game.

There are most likely other roles out there and judging from Pete's skeptism of everyone having all three abilities I believe he is one of those roles. DPR told us to be very careful... curious. I wonder if the 'extra roles' are linked to the bonestones at all.

Posted

Missed day, hammer vote down already and all that.

Just to add to Al Jenn's quick round up of Bonestone. In Suras III, the original pieces of bonestone were simply normal powers. More was introduced later that was ... interesting. Would not surprise me if there are consequences associated with use either, having read the scenes.

In game news, i support anything that gains us information, the Adella vote seems along that line. Barm's accusation at Alys was very direct, but as he said, why hide your faction unless that faction is in fact mafia? Will be very interesting to see exactly what Adella comes up as.

*sits back to eagerly await another awesome scene*

i like the idea of picking in-actives for the roulette as well, the only thing is, most of the time, in-actives tend to be townies is that might actually hurt us in a way.  though their not exactly helping either  >:(

you're lay down about the stones was great Al :)  thanks.  i agree that people who've played a sura game before are worth listening to, but there is also the possibility of Wes changing the stones a little each game so it's not that easy; especially since he's one of the creators of this world.

but according to what you said, this is what i believe were working with

- The Blue piece - Framer ability (maybe Trapstone)

- The Clear piece - Roleblocker (maybe Trapstone)

- The Orange piece - double voter ability

- The Yellow piece  - works like Virtiserum, or a truth finding puppeteer

- The Black piece  - assasin or description changed to become the Godstone (showing where the manipulators are)

now in the posts, Wes only told us of 3 stones, so right now that we know only 3 are in play atm.  more might be added as events unfold.  also there might be new stones.  Raisa said she was being protected, so i think this is a new one and one of the three named in the Goldstone post.

also, Dae said in Sura's 4 the stones were used as abilities, rather than goodies given out during the game. so i agree that there might be other roles out there aside from everyone's given 3, 2 roles i find it hard for Wes to exclude is a regular Finder (for alignment, not faction) and a regular Healer (which might be insane and have roleblocking added to it)

Posted

also, in sura's 1 the stones seemed more liek one time abilities; where from the sounds of it in Sura's 3 they were regular roles.  Wes probably has mixed those two elements inthis game.

letitng some people start with a stone as a "role" and giving others out as one-time goodies

“I think we should consider all sides in this. There is no need to make rash decisions!”

The Beva Perrada smirked.

“Spoken like a true supporter of the opposition!”

A cheer went up from a section the crowd. Adella’s face twisted into a mask of frustration tinged with growing dread. Her hands shackled above her head, she was chained to the stone below the Arch.

Once here, a prisoner is either found innocent and set free, or if found guilty, lowered into the pit.

“Lower her! Feed the creatures!”

A few more jeers, and the Minister stepped forth.

“We are all bound by the same rules of justice, and we are all judged by our peers. What is the charge made against Adella?

The Beva Perrada spoke again.

“It is widely known that a plot against The Hall is being played out, and that this election is nothing more than a clever deception! I personally charge Adella with being part of this plot!

The majority of the crowd roared in approval, leaving no doubt as to how the vote would go.

Nonetheless, a vote was taken, and in the end, Raillon turned to Adella a read…

“You’ve been found guilty. You will go to the pit.

Adella merely raised her chin and took on a stoic expression, as would be expected of any member of this proud culture. She says nothing.

The chains binding her wrists tighten as she is lifted off of her feet and swung over the sand below. Slowly, she is lowered toward the sand, and when she is within distance, a cord is pulled and the chains are released.

Adella lands on her feet, years of sailing and fighting by blade honing her muscles and reflexes into those of a true member of The Hall. Anything less would never be tolerated.

But human muscle is only capable of so much, and human reflexes can only move so fast.

No sooner had her feet landed in the sand than the dark waters of the small bay begin to stir.

Within moments the first black hump appeared in the light surf. The hump in and of itself was not imposing. But it glided toward the sand, and what it would become would strike terror into the heart of any man or woman.

Adella is no exception, though she stands her ground and prepares to defend herself as best she can.

The slick black skin makes it into the shallower water and stops. Then, slowly, t begins to lift higher out of the water. Like tiny moons, two milky eyes reflect the light of the torches as they rise, the dark skin a hood above them. The creature does not stop rising, and as it reaches eight feet, it looks just like some dark specter or evil priest, risen form the sea to claim it’s victim.

In all of Suras, there are few sights feared more. The Myshir Trept is not terrible fast, thought, and it begins to glide again, giving the crowd a full view of its body.

It is propped up on massive wings, like one of the rays, but over twenty feet across. When it props itself up to it’s full height, it stands over eight feet tall. It has no claws, and no teeth, and for all purposes, would be any easy thing to evade or even cut down with a blade.

But it is poisonous, and the deadliest poisons known to man are watered down and weak compared to what this creature possesses.

Adella crouches to jump, but she knows there is no point. Still, it is in her spirit to try…

She lunges to the left to draw it’s aim, then pivots expertly to the right, tumbles into a roll and comes back up on her feet in a flash.

In that instant, a white cord shoots out from under the things dead eyes, launching a poisoned tip. It catches Adella in the gut, and she grabs the cord, her hands sliding up and down it as if it were an intestine.

The cord pulls away easily from the creature. It was never meant to hold her.

Adella looks at her hands as they begin to spasm. The rest of her body follows, and the crowd is silent as she sinks to her knees and then tumbles into the sand. Her eyes have rolled into the back of her head and she groans as the poison shuts her body down. Then she lay still.

The Myshir Trept gives her time to fully die before it pushes toward her. It pushes itself over the sand, leaving a distinct trail, and then hovers over her body for just an instant before lowering that black skin down over her like a blanket. When it is down, she is not even visible, but you can see the muscles in its back flex and ripple as it begins to suck the fluids out of her body.

When it is done, it will return to the sea. In the morning, The Hall will retrieve her desiccated corpse and burn it. But first, they will tap whatever is left of her spinal fluid to make poison of their own.

ADELLA, BONDA PERRADA AND , MAFIA, IS DEAD.

Okay, I’m extending the deadline this weekend – I’m jammed up with stuff, so I’ll give until 8 pm EST Sunday night to get all of your night actions in.

It is now Night 2. Please PM me your actions.

Who is going to view Alys... that way we aren't double viewing like Panda and Lily did last night. I would but I've already used mine. I'm not sure if there is some way the mafia can mess with our viewings or if they have a bonestone. *Shrugs* I would just like to use our findings as efficiently as possible.

One mafia dead and one townie dead. We're doing well so far.

Posted

Awesome. What I'm looking at here is the and. "Bonda Perrada AND mafia". It's not just a straight "Bonda Perrada, mafia". Still, I think it merits lynching another Bonda to see if we have the same result.

EDIT: Do we want to view her again? That would in itself be a double viewing.

Posted

Aemon Barms said Alys is Bonda Perrada and Alys said she isn't. One of them is lying, that is why I would like to get a second viewing.

As for your other comment Aemon I have no desire to be lynched so I am against that theory and desire period.

MCS, I will miss you if you add to the game and comment on things! *Smiles convincingly*

Ed, if it seems to you, leaving the scene aside, that infiltrators infest every faction, why on earth would adella being sum implicate me on the basis of barm's false viewing?

agree with red on figuring out why the hall should be destroyed as a means of finding a trail back to the candidates for our decision.

i do agree with using innocents as fodder for russian roulette actions, but that should be no surprise given my long history against inactivity. they just don't help those who are actually playing.

i had forgotten about that blackstone. the game with the random assassins was scary. but i am assuming that since blue changed abilities between one and three, the black will be different here too.

Aemon, the whole point in me asking for an alternate viewing is because barms lied, but i can't prove that anymore than he can prove his stance. at least, not without a viewing.

curiously, no one else has mentioned this. barms waited even longer than lily to reveal. why? what does this say?

Posted

Reas my post. I believe I said the past few pages. Your sebsequent denial and sudden jump to argue makes me suspicious.

Now, I shall be back to napping soon.

Posted

i am seeing two contradicting statements, actually. regardless of you feeling me to be suspicious, your first statement counters the latter. a bonda being scum would prove nothing against another bonda if you feel the scum are part of every group.

Posted

No Alys, I did not lie. And the reason I waited? I was going to wait and just vig kill you in the night. However, as spur of the moment, I chose to share my results. You are the one who is lying here Alys, and you are getting desperate.

Posted

Can we get a nuetral party to agree to view Alys... Talya, Hybrid, Ed, Naeann, some other person who hasn't used their cop ability yet?

Posted

not desperate. you would like me to be. you would love nothing more than to avoid me being viewed so you won't be proven a liar. i KNOW my faction, and i am confident a viewing will prove you wrong.

the real question is if it was misinformation or if it was a lie. i am not sure there if only because it is out of character for you.

Did I read this right? Are you saying you are Bonda?

DPR

Something I've been wondering. You said that dead players can't vote for a candidate... However does a vote count in the end if a player casts their vote before they die?

DPR has talked on several occasions about a blood bath among other things. For our secret ballot vote can we send it in now and change it at a later time?

I think if we are going to lose a lot of innocents it might be better to all have a vote now and change it as we get more information so that those innocents that die can have their vote in...

Still waiting for someone to mediate between the two of them. I honestly think your both innocent and have walked into an elaborate trap... but that's just me *Shrugs*

Edit for Lily: Yes and I said it long ago... let me find the quote.

[glow=red,2,300]unvote

Adella[/glow]

Like Wombat said I find that turn of phrase suspicious. I am Bonda Perrada, but my PM didn't say I won with Bonda Perrada only that when 'found' I would be named as Bonda Perrada. I'm not exactly sure how DPR has everything split up but so far my guess is:

The Challengers Faction

The Ministers  Faction

The Nuetral    Faction

And then we have

The Town

The Mafia

(Maybe Symps and Solo people as of right now who can choose to change their alignment)

So like I asked earlier about using the terms Ministers Man and The Challenger I now ask when refering to the groups call it Factions and when refering to Mafia/Town call it Alignment

It just makes it easier so we are all on the same page. I don't like confusion and misinterpretations.

Now I read a ways back about the finding. I didn't realize at the time that it wasn't a faction. It was simply just town-innocent. The viewing was 'cloudy' and after getting clarification a bonestone was involved. Does anyone have any more information on these 'bonestones'?

Now what are you guys continually arguing about the 'manipulators' for? Do you think this is yet another faction with some nefarious goal and not the mafia... I think yes DPR will have twists and confusion for us plenty, but I read that passage as simply the mafia getting together. Occams Razor.

Edit: Hmm, I see no reason to hide my faction. Good point Barm. *Sits back and waits*

Lily: It was the reason I voted for Adella in the first place. Her PM said she wins with Bonda Perrada, mine doesn't.

Thanks, Al Jenn. I'm trying really hard to read everything, but the walls of text are shutting my brain down, and then I miss things. I had to go back and find Barm's short post about Alys being Bonda, because the walls of text preceeding it were too much for me. Thanks for bringing it back for me.

Posted

My first thought when reading it was the same as Aemon's 'Bonda Peradda AND Mafia'

Actually what would be good would be to find a mafia that WASN'T Bonda Peradda. But the viewings don't seem to be providing too much info on the way of Alignment.

The only trouble we have is that if someone else views Alys, they could either be her mafia team mate and back her up, or mafia and stitch her up. If someone Views Alys, maybe view Barm as well! All it does though is say who they support, not if they are mafia or not.  :-\

Alys, not sure why he took so long...to try and group you in with her if he knew she was mafia (ie. with her) So that it would make an easy lynch of you tomorrow!? He only came out after suspicisions had been raised about you. At least I think it was!
