Hey guys - just walked in the door - exhausted - but wanted to post that I'm back now from my LOA. My hotel was a horror and someone tried to kill me while I was in the shower (it was like I never left the mafia game  :o )

Did we also lose 2 people in night one? No, we didn't did we? Why were there suddenly two NK's last night?

(I know I'm dead but as someone who would say I know Eebs (Locke) very well, I would venture to put forth the suggestion that perhaps he was remarking on the fact that the two people who died were the first two to post after Day had started, instead of anyone else?

If I'm wrong, sorry. >.> And Mac Sauce can always have my post deleted or something if he wants.)

Not surprisingly, Meesh is, in fact, correct.  My comment was just noting an interesting coincidence.  Nothing of matter was meant.

That stinks, losing two innocents in one night. This is the only problem with hitting two mafia so quickly, they've built up no relationships in the game, so the remaining ones can hide more effectively.

Holy cow that was a great catch!!!

Wow David... when I first started reading through all that... *facepalm* . For those of you who haven't met David, he has a flair for this sort of thing. Anyhow, glad it was caught, and it was Nae who honed in on it.

Lily dear, I'm quite surprised at your reveal - it's a rather convenient one, don't you think? And a flashy show of altruism there. You've either painted a nice target over your head for the mafia to take you, or you gave yourself a very clever innocent guise to hide behind. And Lily, we all know and love you as being devilishly clever. Why do I have the feeling we're going to see you alive and hale come morning?

That has got to be the sweetest anyone has EVER been while accusing me. You get points for style, Aust. Of course, you lose them on accuracy, but nice approach!  ;) If I am alive in the morning, I think we'll be looking at you after that smooth setup. Not that I expect anyone to believe me, but if I was mafia, I would NEVER offer to be the lynch target on day one. No payoff in it that I can see. After all, what if you called my bluff?

I'm alive. Let's have that look at Aust, shall we?

Incidentally, Aust, why feel the need to point out who honed in on David's BS?

Incidentally, why is it Nae you must point out, as it was Nae who David wanted everyone to think he knew was mafia?

Granted, Lily could be mafia, and David could have been trying to clear her name, but on the other hand, the smarter move would be to clear a teammate's name with your own death, no?  After all... "Why would David accuse Nae of being mafia if she really was mafia, and he was too?  That would be dumb, they should be trying to hide themselves, not put them out in the open!!"

Nae is hard for me to trust, as are all of our mafia-titans, including Lily and Pete. But in this instance, I think her irritation at David was authentic - trust me I have seen Nae irritated!!!

Lily and Nae are two of the most calculating and manipulative players in the game, when they are scheming. We've all seen it, and now we see both of them in prime action on day one - Nae with her turn on David and Lily with her role-reveal. Frankly, I find that all a little bit chilling, and I'm earnestly trying to anticipate their next moves.

We want to quickly gain some reassurance with these two.

This is called big game hunting, and while I don't feel like I'm big game, apparently I am. You MIGHT catch a mafia by killing off all the "big game" but you DEFINITELY will compromise the town. No good mod would put all the experienced players in the mafia. So, while it might make YOU feel like the biggest fish left in the pond, this strategy isn't good for the town.

Aust, this all looks to me like a mafia trying to subtly frame a townie. I could be wrong, but it caught my attention, so you get my vote unless something better comes along, like Koujin did yesterday. Add in Pete getting nightkilled, and it really looks like somebody's afraid of the "titans" as you put it. If I'm right, you're doing a good job at being subtle, but not quite good enough.

Vote [glow=red,2,300]Aust[/glow]

Speaking of strategies that aren't good for the town...where is Tharengore?  I don't see a post by him in the game (I double checked using the print function).  It's been 9 days since we started and he was online on the 27th according to his profile.

I agree with you, Lily. Killing off the big fish in the game is a rotten ploy because then it slows the game down as the newbs don't know how to keep going.

[glow=red,2,300]Aust[/glow] sounds like a good vote to me, too. Since he's back.

Lily, I wasn't trying to be subtle. I meant what I said about needing to be sure of you. I also don't typically see you make a bold move like that in day one, and it was noteworthy. Now, normally I'd jump right into a wrestling match with you about several of the points you made but you're off the hook today.

Today I am quite interested in Tharengore. Inactive players are a real problem - they contribute nothing to the town, and they throw off the vote because they still add to our total numbers which can offset a majority vote. Also, if Tharengore was spamming all day with Bela, there is no excuse for the inactivity. It is either apathy or hiding.

Do we have a mod ruling on inactivity? I don't want to waste a lynch on an inactive when we could be devoting our time to rooting out the next mafia.

Aust, sweetie, I NEVER accused you of subtlety.  :D There are a few points I would like to address in that post, but I'll cut to the main one: Are you giving us a half-reveal? Because, you know, that's a scummy thing to do, too. My vote stands.

Lily i like your reasoning so far and will be watching Aust, but i am also interested in what Tharen is doing (or not doing in this case) and am watching him too.

I'm interested in that, too, actually. I know he's been on DM. Is it possible that he forgot about the game? (I'm always afraid I'm going to do that again. Yes, I've done it once...lol.) Mcs, have you poked him?

Okay, this has got to be the least amount of information available in Day 3, EVAR.

For now I'm going to vote [glow=red,2,300]Tharengore[/glow].

1.  I need to have a vote cast.

2.  Day 2 was such a fast vote that no information was gained so I don't want to jump on the Aust vote yet.  (Yes I know that today is the deadline, but maybe people will actually show up and talk.  Hypocrit you say?  Yes.)

3.  Since Tharengore doesn't seem to be playing it is no loss.  (Could he be a Karma Stump?)
