We've had several abilities so it makes sense that the mafia has had several as well. The Godfather role seems to be a pretty common one and isn't 'to' powerful. It seems likely that the mafia would have this ability. Since Lily checked out Pale and he turned up innocent we have to go with one of the four conclusions Mmeesh posted earlier. Of those I think that either they are both innocent or he has the godfather ability.

 

Now as for why I would think he is Mafia. Since I trust Rey I 'believe' there are two 'confirmed' townies. (Sorry can't say anything directly) Also I'm going to trust Lily's story just because I doubt that the Mafia would have tried something so elaborate so early. So that is 3 people I trust are for the Town out of 5 possibly 6. So that leaves 2-3 townies. Of those one is the doctor. So that leaves 1-2 vanilla or unknown role townies. Pale claimed earlier that he is a vanilla townie. I also believe Meer, Meesh (indirectly if I recall correctly), and led have claimed that to so that is part of my belief in Elli as the doctor.

 

So that means that most of those people are scum or mafia. There are 3-4 of them out there and so odds are out of the 7 unconfirmed (6 minus Elli) over half are scum. Sorry but that means that most of you guys are evil liars! Pale I have been suspicious of since early on due to his accusations against lily (She did act suspiciously but with no counter claim there was only two reasons to suspect her: Pale was the finder which seems to be very unlikely now or that there isn't a finder in this game which again I find unlikely) since he was attacking her suspicious actions I was undecided however I feel more inclined now that really even though she was acting suspicious and still is there is no reason not to believe her unless you don't think there is a finder.

 

Ok enough of that rant, seems like I defend Lily way to much.

 

Also Pales unspoken 'alliance' or non-antagonism with Mmeesh made me highly suspicious of them earlier. Right now Mmeesh really rings genuine and it is going to really suck if she turns out to be mafia because then she'll be an amazing schemer/liar and I really like to believe people are honestly good hearted and wouldn't be so... diabolical. Since then I started to trust Pale more, but with it coming down to so few people left and having to pick only 1-2 'vanilla' townies including Mmeesh who I would like to believe is innocent that means almost everyone else is mafia.

 

So with that out there and him being found 'innocent' by Lily I must conclude everyone else is mafia or he is the godfather.

 

 

There is my reasoning.

 

Now as to who should the healer protect tonight.

 

If I was the mafia it would seem very easy right now. You know the 5-6 townies and could go and pick one of the obscure ones that the doctor doesn't know is a townie or go for Rey or I just because the doctor would try and save him/herself or Lily. Sorry but it's a roulette with us likely loosing. I would tell the healer to make a list of people the think/know are townies and then random it.

 

Mmeesh you would disagree but really who would you protect? Or if you were mafia kill? Pick the person the healer doesn't protect and you win. So it could be almost anyone. There are to many possibilities.

 

 

I still believe after the night round if we are alive the doctor should come out. Since it seems most of us believe that Lily, Rey, and myself are townies with the doctor revealing that would make 4 and tomorrow it will take 5 to lynch with or without a night kill. Which makes that pretty easy. And the lines would be much draw pretty clearly. Right now with three of the townies roles suspected/revealed that means one of the other 2-3 are the doctor. So the mafia has a 50-67% guess of who it is. Us townies would see more benefit than the scum come tomorrow. Sorry but Lily and Mmeesh why shouldn't the Dr. reveal tomorrow if we aren't all dead and everyone goes without presents on Christmas?

If Ellie is scum she should be Mod Killed for inactivity. If she is a townie... well... she has been helping me make toys and cookies then! If she is good then I claim she has been struck with laryngitis, but if she has been faking such she needs to be struck down with a lump of coal for Christmas.

So my question for you Wombat is this: Since you 'believe' you are a townie, you think lily is, you think rey and I am, that makes 4 not counting the doctor. Why wouldn't you think Pale is Mafia or pretty much everyone else?

Since I get one last post, I mine as well do something with it, some of which I meant to do before I got lynched, but didn't get a chance to.

 

First, I apologize to the Townies for not doing a better job at rooting out the mafia, acting suspiciously, and then acting stupidly at the end.  I was actually aware that revealing my role would get rid of a lot of suspicion since I knew that you knew that I don't know enough to fake an obscureish role like that, but I wasn't really sure about it, and then it kind of slipped my mind towards the end there.

 

Okay, now, points:

 

I now doubt that Meesh is mafia because of how hard she wanted to make sure I was mafia. (thanks for the patience with my stupidity, by the way Meesh)  One might argue that this is simply a mafia trying to look Townie, but her actions were unnecessary because of the large amount of suspicion already on me.  I also wonder if a mafia would have even thought to do what Meesh did. 

 

Secondly, if Led is mafia, then why did he switch his vote from me, someone he would have known to be innocent, to Elli, someone who I believe is mafia? 

 

I am pretty sure that both Elli and Meer are both mafia simply because I have no counter evidence against either of them like I do for Meesh and Led. (although to Elli's defense I haven't seen her around other places either.)  I remember having some sort of counter evidence for Wombat too earlier but I don't recall what. 

 

I think that tonight the mafia will either a) Lynch someone innocent but who we suspect as mafia if there are 4 mafia or b) Lynch Al Jenn or Rey if there are 3 mafia.

 

I wonder if anyone here noticed the way I play, because if they did, then I have a feeling I'll be rooted out pretty easily if I'm ever mafia.... Well, I think I'd get rooted out pretty easily anyway.

 

Anyway, I think that's all I've got.  I hope I haven't forgot anything, because this is my last post.  I'll be keeping up with this game, because I'm so curious as to who's who and whatnot.

Thank you Wombat I read those in the entirely wrong light. I thought there was sarcasm, what ifs, and subtlety. However you are right and I apologize for not catching it sooner.

 

I trust Rey and trusted Crusher. Rey should have and should trust crusher. I think that is as specific as I can get. He is mistaken. Ok, how not to say this directly?

You can't even keep your story straight, Rey >.<  I still trust you though as I think any mafia trying to say what you said as a ploy would nail the stories down first.  I had been thinking that maybe Pale was partners with Crusher and that was why he saw the meaning in your non-claim, but it turns out he's just smarter than I am.  I still don't see Pale acting suspiciously anywhere.  Right now I don't know what to think about him or Meesh.  Meesh seems really pro town, but I've become a little bit more suspicious of her lately.  I think meercatman, Elli and LZM are mafia, with one of meesh or Pale being mafia as well.  It's possible that both Meesh and Pale are mafia and one of the other three isn't.  (I'm operating under the assumption that there are 4 mafia).  Right now I think the mafia configuration is as follows:

I'm trying not to worry about that right now. We have two or three other mafiosos out there, and I'd rather try to find those than chance losing an innocent who I've viewed as innocent, just because I think he might be a Godfather. The others are a surer bet. If we should get so lucky as to find two or more of them, then I'd like to look at Pale again. I've only successfully viewed once, so let's not hurry to string him up, okay? If he is godfather I can only imagine what the mafia is saying, though. The irony! They have to be enjoying this!

 

But, like I said let's worry about that later. Right now, I'm thinking Ellie is a better bet, since so many of us have her on our lists.

Oh, it feels good to be home, sitting down...worked my 8-hour shift at McDonald's and helped close (early, luckily) without getting a break, eating, or sitting down...  I sympathize with everyone else out there who does stuff like that; it sucks.

 

Okay, I just read the 3 pages since I was last online...and this time I'm just going based on what I remember wanting to comment on, not going to spend time searching out posts and quoting and responding...it's Christmas Eve and it's time for family and relaxing. :)

 

First of all, Al Jenn suddenly coming out saying Crush is in the same group as him and Rey, after not contradicting Rey's earlier freakout about finding out Crush was a mason....That, while possibly innocent, reeks to me.  For example, Rey could have simply not gotten the fact that Crush was a mason with him too (don't know how he'd know he and Al Jenn were but not that Crush was, but it's possible) and honestly been worried to find out that Crush flipped mason, for various reasons.

Or he and Al Jenn could be mafia, and Rey missed Crusher flipping as a mason and started freaking out when he found out Crush was a mason, because that might ruin his plans to claim mason.  And instead of freaking out in a weird way, just used it to seem more like a mason himself.  And then Al Jenn didn't catch Rey's posts somehow, and now suddenly comes out and claims Crush was a mason with him and Rey (without actually claiming, because of course they'll be modkilled--fairly convenient, though possible, excuse), and saying that Rey must've misread something and not known.

Okay.  Point being--while they may very well be telling the truth, this whole thing just seems off to me.  The fact that they can't reveal directly for fear of a modkill (which hasn't happened even when they were "too direct"), the fact that suddenly Crush is part of their group (and conveniently can't back them up or contradict them because he's dead), and the fact that Al Jenn keeps wanting to emphasize that he and Rey are all but confirmed innocents...

We can't take anything for granted, people.  Keep your eyes out for small discrepancies, because often that's all you'll have to go on.

 

Al Jenn, I just want to say that I was somewhat offended by your comment that basically said, "Here's what the Healer should do.  I know you'll disagree, Meesh, but what would you do, really?"  You do NOT know what I would do or say, you do NOT know if I would disagree with you or not, and I do NOT appreciate you just ASSUMING you know what my opinion of the Healer's night action is.

 

I don't really like you in this game, Al Jenn, and my eye is always on you.  You may be innocent, but you reek of scum.
