The first book, A Game of Thrones, is currently being adapted for TV by HBO. If you can, read the series, as it's excellent. One of the best fantasy series going.

Wrong on both counts. The correct, British spelling (but I repeat myself) is favour, and the full stop (not period) is generally only placed inside the quotation mark if it is part of the quotation.
