Just for fun let's match up some of both WOT arthors' original characters:

Lan vs Kelsier

Aviendha vs Vin

Perrin vs Ham

Thom vs Breeze (in political manipulation, of course.  Hand to had fighting would be Thom hands down).

Ishamael vs The Lord Ruler

Ruarch vs Marsh

Aiel vs The Steel Ministery

Loial vs Sazed (both contemplative book worms who can be quite violent when the need arises)

Ah, you forgot one:

Pevin vs. Goradale (?sp)

Star Wars vs. Star Trek
Well, Starfleet is an orgainisation that tries to find non-violent solutions to problems where possible. So the people who inhabited a galaxy far, far away a long time ago would be massacred, no question.

Jean-Luc Picard v Kirk

Star Trek: The Wrath of Kirk.

"KIIIIIRRRRK!"

Worf v C-3PO

Eddie Guerrero v Be'lal

Omar Little v Tywin Lannister

Petyr Baelish v Dirk Provin

Perrin v He-Man v The Hulk v R2-D2

Ferro Maljinn (not sure if I got the name right) vs. Birgitte

Logen Ninefingers/Bloody-Nine vs. Perrin

Sand dan Glokta vs Tyrion Lannister (not sure what the battlefield should be. Something where the more intelligent one with greater strenth of character would be deemed winner). Oh and EDIT: Make this a free-for-all match, add Thom Merrilin as well.

I'm not sure who this Tywin character is but it would be funny seeing Omar get down in a fantasy setting.

Shotgun and all.

Of course, you can't omit the shotgun, that would just be stupid. Tywin Lannister is a character in ASoIaF, a fantasy series by George R.R. Martin. The first book, A Game of Thrones, is currently being adapted for TV by HBO. If you can, read the series, as it's excellent. One of the best fantasy series going.

A First Law fan? Read Best Served Cold yet? Brilliant book.

Mat Cauthon v Shivers

Nicomo Cosca v Benna Murcatto

Hmmmmmm. Thanks for the suggestion.

The only Fantasy novels I have ever read were just the WOT series, and a bunch of the Dragonlance novels.

Just might have to check this one out.

A Stare Off

Uno VS Mr Ares

;)

That would be unfair. The sheer force of my glare would melt his eye from its socket. Try Caul Shivers in my place.

Mat v Archibald Wavell.

That said,

There should be a "." after the "v"

True - but there's no "u" in "favor."  Also, the period should be inside the quotation mark, not outside.

But he spells "realize" like "realise" and "color" like "colour" and "Octopuz" like "Octopus" and probably drinks tea so it's okay.

Wrong on both counts. The correct, British spelling (but I repeat myself) is favour, and the full stop (not period) is generally only placed inside the quotation mark if it is part of the quotation.
