The White Tower probably will be attacked in this book and it will probably be towards the end and that will be the last tower POV; we may or may not get a rebel camp POV.  I would like an Aviendha POV, we need a Demandred POV again.  I suspect one of the Hunters will be killed or severly injured(Doecine I think).  We need a POV from the Reds with warders(hopefully Tarna).

Does anyone know what the situation with the tower guards is vis-vi darkfriends?

I would love to see a Noal POV here, even a brief one, assuming the rescue plays out in tGS.  Maybe some details on what drove him, although he has already dropped enough hints.  I could see Noal's POV ending as he begins a delaying fight to allow Mat, Thom, and Moiraine to escape.  Something like "'Time to stop running,' he thought as he readied his daggers."

Actually I believe the Tower needs to be attacked as soon as possible. That's a lot of stuff to get through, and none of it involves the Last Battle--which is the key defining aspect of the aMoL cycle.

 

If I were Brandon I would use the prologue to deal with the Egwene dinner, and have the Seanchan being sighted from the Towere somewhere within the first five chapters. Have Egwene ratified as total Amyrlin by the end of the Gathering Storm--as in a result of the Aes Sedai dealing with the Seanchan attack and so forth--reunification, standing against the Seanchan, so on.

 

I agree with this.  Although I'm not sure I see Egwene showing up in the prologue.  Chapter 1 would be a great way of opening it up though.

 

As for a Thom POV...at first I really wanted to say no to that, mainly because I think we'd get alot more from a Mat POV, but now I'm thinking we'll see Mat's POV at the beggining of their story thread but it will shift to Thom as they get closer to Moiraine.  I'm not sure if book 12 will see a Moiraine POV...that seems more like a book 13 early chapter kind of scene.

Mystery? Don't we know that Taim is working for the DO with that line "Let the Lord of Chaos Rule"?

 

The beauty of it is that we do not actually "know". While we have enough clues to reach the conclusion that Taim is on Team Dark, it has never been confirmed. And looking at some of the threads around here, not all people are convinced by the clues left.

 

But there is more to it than Taims loyalty. What made him join the shadow? What is his agenda? Things like that.

I think that Shaidar Haran POV would be as close to the DO as we'll get until he is free.

Me too, that's why I stuck a Farstrider POV in my list. I hope by the time Noal has a POV his true identity is revealed.

Yeah those are good points about Taim still being mysterious. I've even wondered if he was perhaps one of those converted to the DO through the 13 AS and 13 Fades thing. It would be nice to have seen that happen to a character since it has been mentioned. From what RJ has also said it sounds like a one way ticket as well which is probably why he didn't do it to Eggy when so many thought he would.
