Newbie Mafia: Ragnarök - GAME OVER

So welcome to the Ragnarök Mafia game, being loki i thought i should inisiate the end of the world, so here it is

this is going to be the usual basic game, and i'll be looking for 12 to 15 victims players

there will be:

 

3 'mafia'(Hel, Fenrir and Jörmungandr, my lovely offspring). these players will be alowed to communicate off the thread with each other (via pm msn or whatever) and during night period the will get to select a player to night kill and will win when they outnumber or have the same amount of players left as the innocents

 

1 healer (Thor) this player is on the innocent team and during the night period gets to choose one player to 'protect'. the player selected is protected from night kills for that night. the healer may select themselves if they wish. they may only communicate on the thread

 

1 finder (Odin) this player is on the innocent team and will be allowed to select one player to view each night. they will be told the alignment of this player (whether they are on the innocent or mafia team) . they may reveal or withhold this information as they see fit. they may only communicate on the thread

 

the rest of the players will make up roleless innocents whose aim is to lynch all the mafia . they may only communicate on the thread .

 

there will be two phases, a day one and a night. in the day all players will choose who to lynch that 'day' via a vote. [glow=red,2,300]all votes must be glowed red[/glow] to count when a majority is reached that person will be lynched and then the day period will go to night

 

in the night phase the player with roles (the ones mentioned above) will pm there decicions to me  and recieve results ect, and then will go back to the day phase.

 

the day and night phases will not have a set deadline but if they start to drag i will impose one

 

um ok ive probably forgotten something imnportant, but meh ill add it later if i have, so um 2, 3 max oldbies for the mo, and the rest of yas, COME ONE COME ALL!

“Welcome to Fiddles Fjord -enjoy your stay, and victorious combat (within the designated times)”

 

You snap a picture of the dilapidated sign rather half-heartedly and wonder why you are travelling in the depths of winter again. Ah yes the flyer.

 

 

You knew it was to much to hope for as you compare the fjord on the flyer to the place you are now. Maybe its just all the snow that’s putting you off.  Well it’s the middle of  April it should be at least spring by now, but it feels like its been winter for years, three years.  No it surely couldn’t have been that long.

 

As you snap out of your reverie, you taken another glance at the rag-tag group of tourists your  a part of. You haven’t known them long at all, just since the port at the last town where you got of the boat. And then the fool guide got you all lost in the blizzard and you ended up in this Odin forsaken place.

 

“Odin forsaken you say..”

 

You start at the creaking voice coming from within the, what you thought was, deserted village,

 

“Huh? Oh sorry I must have been thinking out loud,  is there a…”

 

But the voice continues on, heedless of your last words,

 

“Odin forsaken, hmm, if you would open your eyes you would see that the gods walk among you. You should be honoured, and terrified.  I see Loki and Angrboda’s  brood hiding in mortal skins, and they be your dHoom. But betwixed you also, are your saviours, and none higher could you have for the gods, the champion and protector of the people, and the all knowing wanderer. This is a meeting to change even destiny methinks.”

 

Oh heck. you think to yourself, a madman,

 

“What next, a ragnarök,” you laugh and then falter as the old man morphs in front of your eyes to a younger, with a smirk and the twinkle of evil and mischief in his eyes.

 

“There is no time for laugher in the Fimbulvetr, just a cold snap did you think this was?  But you are right, the end of this age comes, watch it comes even as we speak, here comes Schöll,”

 

You follow this ‘mans’ outstretched finger to the sun … what was that dark shadow, the moon? No body had said anything about an eclipse, and why does the shadow look so like that of a wolf.  And then the land and sea was plunged into darkness

 

“…it ..it ate the sun… what is this? Who are you?”

 

This is the end, and me, well for now I’m a sailor, you seem my lovely ship in the bay,  the Naglfar. A real beaut she is. Made from dead men’s nails, however I must be going, mischief to spread and all, toodle pip.”

 

You watch as the shape changing trickster saunters to his ship and weighs anchor. You sigh with resignation, all the passes are blocked with snow making this the only shelter in the area as the guide had being saying before he had heard the old mans word and run of screaming,. The cold will probably get him you think, but it seems there is evil in your midst, and you’ll have to get it before it gets you…

General rules of play

 

No off thread talking for except for the mafia group

 

No quoting oh mod PM’s

 

no editing or deleting of posts

 

There will be a full coroner report

 

The roles are healer(Thor), finder(Odin), mafia(Hel, Fenrir & Jörmungandr)

 

Dead players get one ‘bah’ post (i.e. ‘bah I’m dead, go innocents/mafia’ ect)

 

all roles have been chosen at random

 

[glow=red,2,300]all votes must be glowed red[/glow]

 

if you go for days without posting and arnt on a LOA, you will be warned and if you do not become active, you may be modkilled

 

mafia wins if they equal or out number the innocents. innocents win when they get rid of all the mafia
