Well, I for one always hated Egwene and still do. So If Egwene manage to humiliate Rand, then I will be severly disappointed. Cause all those traing with Cady....and stuff....Rand will be a changed person, if he isn't already.

 

Also, I remember the early version of Rand, who was cleaver and had a lot of common sense. Just because RJ liked Egwene, it doesn't make it fair to make her cool and intentionaly make Rand a fool....which he is not, was not and I don't believe taint in Saidin can make a man fool.

 

Also Egewene is the one who is walking around with all the mis-conception about Rand...he beign using compulsion and rest.Even when she heard that he is been kidnaped and mistreated, she still blames him.

 

It takes a lot for a writter to cast aside his own prejudice and write a neutral book. And if Egwene get the upper hand....it won't be fair writing. God bless RJ, but it just won't be fair.

 

I will gladly see Rand being taken down or berated by Aviendha, Min or even Elayne.

He belongs to them.

....but not Egwene....she is a ....bi$#$%#$.

 

I am more interested in Rand and Tam,Rand and Aviendha, Rand and Morgase re-union. Also the meeting between Rand and Tuon will be interesting.

 

Yeah, and for some reason I despise Gywn too....but I like Galad.

I'll bet that Morgase declines the throne, and remains incognito.  She will replace Lini as Elayne's adviser.  She doesn't want that mess anymore, especially messing around with a man half her age. 

 

Still, it seems like a bad Soap Opera is coming:  Elayne's mom is alive, but robbing the cradle, Elayne is pregnant and it's Rand's babies, Rand is also Galad's half brother....  :o

Poor Morgase, of the 4 known lovers shes had, 2 have fallen deeply in love with other people, and the other are dead. I'm thinking tallanvor should watch himself.

Why does the Benny Hill theme music (Yakety Sax) suddenly seem to play in my head when I think about this reunion?  I see them all chasing after each other, and at some point, a British Bobby and a man in a gorilla costume join the chase. 

 

Also, it stands to reason that the women will somehow have their dresses ripped off and spend the rest of the book running around in their shifts.

I think the reunion of Rand and Tam, if it ever happens, would be pretty awkward as well, now that Tam knows or at least suspects that Rand is the Dragon Reborn.

 

Come to think of it, shouldn't Tam have known that he had found Rand on Dragonmount?

I don't think that would make it that awkward.  He does not Rand is the Dragon Reborn.  He asked Perrin and Perrin confirmed it.  I think it would be more awkward because Rand is no longer the Rand his father knew.  He is hardly the same person at all.  Can you even begin to imagen what they would say to each other?  From my previous experience with RJ's writing, I think it would be something like:

 

Rand: "Father?" *expressionless face*

Tam: "Hello Rand..." *sad face*

 

....*awkward silence and short attempts at small talk until someone who actually knows one of them comes to the rescue*

 

Should be intersting.... I'm wondering how RJ meant to work around that awkwardness...

OK.The reunion I am looking forward to is mostly of Rands. Since he is the reason I started to read WOT. Because of Egwene, I almost threw the "Eye of the world" in to the fire.From her very first scene, I hated her. If not for Rand and Moiraine, I wouldn't have finished the book.So the reunion I am looking forward to is:

 

1. Rand and Aviendha. It is way over due.She desrves Rand all by herself and screw Min and Elyane.

2.Rand and Moiraine.That will be exciting as well.I think Moirain coming back will have a Major impact on Rands attitude.

3.Rand and Tam.

4.Rand and Mat.

5.Rand and Perrin.

6.Rand and Gawyn. Now that is another person I hate in WOT.

7.Rand and Galad. That will be interesting.

8.Rand and Morgass."You screwed me Rand Althor, now you screwed my daughter too.I will kill you"

9.Rand and Tuon.Ofcourse that could happen at the same time Rand meet Mat.

10.Rand and Thom.

This meeting is the only thing that dampen my anticipation of the AMOL.I wish Egwene was dead by now. Bad luck.

Am I the only one here who thinks that Rand, Mat and Perrin is going to come to Emonds Field one more time, right before TG commences, to say goodbye to their families, and friends, althought many men from Emonds Field will join with the army.  :D

I sure hope not.  Elaida's foretelling only said something about Rand facing her anger or some such.  I would hope neither one is cowed by the other.  If either is cowed I'd be extremely disappointed.  Add to that the fact that I think at this point the only one capable of cowing Rand is Cadsuane. I have heard some reference to RJ's obsession with Egwene so I may be way off.

First of all, where did this RJ obssesion with Egwene come from, I've never heard of it before.  He will not recognise moiraine and as for Gawyn well that Will be most interesting.  Another one I'm looking forward to is Nyneave and Egwene, I have a feeling after the Malkeri scene I don't think Egwene's bullying will work.

I hated that role reversal.  Why did they have to switch roles?  Why couldn't they have just found some sort of equilibrium.  Obviously, after the whole Amyrlin thing equality goes out the window, but strength of presence?? Nope, definitely didn't like it.

The first time was when Egwene jaunted around T'A'R on her own but didn't want the Wise ones to know so she constantly interrupts Nyneave.  Later she does to elayne and she just like bullying them.  She has an Alpha-female complex, Nyneave was in authority over her for so long and was abrasive alot of the time and now Egwene got in that position and she likes it especially bullying Nyneave.  I mean I think it's in WH just after Nyneave leaves with Rand, she gets told that by Elayne or Avi then thinks to herself I understand why she did it but I'm still gonna sit her down hard.  The cleansing is another event in the development.  Nyneave can just say to Egwene he trusted me enough to help him cleanse saidin sit down and shut up.  Egwene could've been the one Rand selected, she may not have survived but that's beside the point, but she had crossed the point of no return.  By these two events:  the cleansing and the Golden Crane we see that Nyneave understands what's best for the world.  To my mind Egwene has been captured by the "me mentality", I don't see egwene has done anything useful.  As you can see I detest Egwene, I didn't, but 'round tSR I started to.

I think that alot of the role reversal came from the different ways that Nyn's and Eggy's lives have changed.  Nyn came form being top dog at Emond's Field; she thought she was just the end.  She hated Moiraine, and by inference the AS, after she took the "kids".  To be short, she now thinks that there are lots of people in the world that are at least her equal; plus her relationship with men has been irrevocably changed by Lan.

 

Egwene has gone the other way - from an inn keepers daughter (yes, yes, he's the mayor, but...) to Amyrlin Seat.  She now thinks that she is the tops.  Those two attitudes contribut greatly to their role reversals.

 

That being said, I have great convidence in Egwene.  While there may be some personal confrontations between Rand and her (they don't seem to be able to lose their old attitudes about each other; kind of like family when they get together after a time apart), she will do whatever is necessary to support the DR at TG; then she will take care of the WT and her AS.

They are about to, I suspect. Aviendha is off to Arad Doman with the Wise Ones, and it seems likely that Rand is headed there as well at some point, to see to trying to put the place back together. (Yes he sent various folks to do that, but it seems reasonable that he will want see for himself how it is all going.)

 

Rand's situation is a bit complicated because he needs to get back into contact with Mat and Perrin, but he does not know where either of them are. Just to complicate things, Masema is still on the loose and he has not been taken to see Rand, so Perrin's mission is not yet accomplished. (You don't really think that Masema is going to give up his role as the ``Prophet of the Dragon'' do you?)

Galad has no idea Rand is his half-brother although I think Rand knows Galad is his brother (right?  since he knows who his real mother was, I remember he agonized over that, forget which book I read it in).

Sheesh, like someone else mentioned it does read like a soap opera drama....sister pregnant with half-brother's baby, oh and he's the Dragon Reborn. ::)

 

Also very curious about Rand and Moraine reunion, Rand has carried the guilt of her death around with him...interesting to see what his reaction will be to seeing her alive!!

Rand is not Elayne's half brother.  He is not related to her in any way except for that very thin blood line dating from the First Queen of Andor.

The Seanchan will attack the White Tower and take many Aes Sedai as new damane...Elaida will be one of them...Egwene will barter with Tuon through Matt for Elaida's release.

 

The huge army of borderlanders will be diverted to help Aviendha and the wise ones restore order to Almouth Plain.

 

There will be trollocs...LOTS and LOTS of trollocs...and fades...and dreadlords...and dragkars...and gray men...etc.

 

The Black Ajah will be scattered by the Seanchan attack of the White Tower but they will regroup in a small abandoned village in the Black Hills just north of the Caralain Grass (an area once known as South Dakota).

 

Ebou Dar will have a festival...their new King will be too busy to attend.  :(

 

The Tinkers and Aiel will join forces to finish the job that the Jenn Aiel started in Rhuidean (I hope).

 

Loial will sing to the Tree of Life so Rhuidean can have Chora trees as the Aes Sedai from the Age of Legends intended (that's why the cuttings in the wagons were so important, remember?).
