Everyone's confirmed?  Ok, then I feel better about voting.  Not that I feel good about the first vote anyway, but you know what I mean.

 

So far, there's not too much to go on.  Ilgross stands out for suggesting that people reveal their role, and Vemy has explained his out of character shorter posting.  I don't want to vote for someone simply because they were drawn at a particular number, and going for someone at random rarely turns up an evil.  Which leaves me at a loss, and rereading won't do me any good this early in the game.  A few names stand out if I use my instincts, Ilgross being one of them, but I have nothing to back those instincts up with, (except for Ilgross), and there could be all manner of reasons for that suggestion.  It feels like I'm clutching at straws.

I see most of you who distrust vemy do so because of his shorter posts than usual. I DO NOT DO SO FOR THAT REASON. My reason against Vemy is twofold:

- he was the first to follow me against ilgross

- a stomach feeling

 

Not that I wanna vote for him or anything, but just getting this possible later misunderstanding out of the way.

My eyes are kinda glazed over, so I may have missed something... but I didn't get the feeling that Ilgross was at the point of needing to reveal to defend himself yet. He's only got 4 votes on him. That's about a 3rd of whats needed to lynch.

Well, since I hadn't voted yet, and now Ilgross has given his reveal, that's a tough one. Sounds like an interesting role to be honest, and I'm sure there's not much more he can elaborate on really as that seems about as specific as it can be. Vemy's explanation of his lack of chatting seems valid, ugh, why does day one always have to be so difficult. :( I don't wanna screw it up for the townies and vote for someone who might be of use. This is really really difficult to say the least. I'm going to continue to abstain from voting for the time being because I just can't decide.

I don't know much what else to say, I am not sure how useful a role it is, but thats how it works.

How do we know ilgross is telling the truth? I'll [glow=red,2,300]unvote[/glow] since he didn't claim healer or finder which imo an evil would have done but we still don't actually know

 

And something tells me this will be a game similar to Ilgross' Artic or Barm's Nuthouse with everyone or almost everyone having a role so if we stop every lynch for every random role claim we arn't gonna find out anything. And an evil looking to live might claim at a smaller role rather then die to reveal a healer/finder by claiming one of those two.

 

but I did unvote and heres why: Somebody has to play the aggressor, I've done it before to get a game started and whoever does it obviously looks evil. So for now ilgross gets his reprieve^^

 

as to whose evil at this point? imo look for 1 on ilgross, 1 on someone else and 1 who hasn't voted yet. And since an evils more likely to tack their vote on then propose the vote day 1 then looking at the vote counts that lists ilgross or alys, and i just unvoted ilgross :P

thinking on it its more likely 2 evils haven't voted at this point to lay low, and sicne they likely have 1 on ilgross I'd say look there for answers

I am not sure that many evils would of voted for me, they tended to hang back, espically when a townie makes a target of himself. I was close to getting myself lynched on my own their with little scum involvement, my guess is that those who didn't vote are more likely to be guilty.

Since 8 people didn't vote and I suspect 2 murderers in there and since 4 people voted after me then as I see it its a 1 in 4 chance either way. Now just to pick someone, problem is who :P

What you also need to think about is that there are more likely to be 4-5 evils out there as we have 20 players. Evils usually make up about a quarter of the people playing. So in a game of 12 your have 3, in a game of twenty that number becomes 5.

 

I'm not saying there is definately, but you do really need to consider it.

In a game with 20, I'd say 5 is most likely, but that's just a hunch.

 

Ilgross as a tracker. Hmmmm. On the one hand, no one expects to find a mafioso on the first lynch, so who get's lynched is often less important than the information we get from the lynch. On the other hand, after playing aggressively, accused of being evil, and finally revealing his own role, we learn that he is a tracker. Not a finder or a healer, but a very "beige" and benign role that will be hard to prove or unprove. How convenient.  :P

hmm damn. that makes it quite a bit harder.

i was leaning towards ilgross being innocent until he revealed and now ..i dont know now it could go either way.

 

also the best lies are mostly truth, and this role doesnt really have to be specifically aligned to one side or the other especially if there are lots of roles out there.

 

another  thing is that if people reveal roles thats going to leave the healer/finder ones swimming in a very small pool, i.e. easier for the evils to night kill.

 

 

as to vemy ...like i said..or meant to.. i cant remember if i did or not, but he always looks guilty, its only about half the time he is :p

Actually the easiest role to fake is doc, since it reveals no infomation you just say I protected XXX last night...And choose XXX who didn't die.

 

Cop is the next easiest as all you have to do is declare someone innocent and even if they are mafia they are not going to come out and say its false.

 

However the tracker has to be correct not only on who has abilities but whom they use them on, which is impossible to fake.

 

It is also possible that there are more then one team of mafia or individual serial killers...

You misunderstand, I don't think everyone should reveal. I think we should force one person to reveal and then depending on the revealed infomation, whether their character is crediable determine whether to lynch...
