Wow, a double return breaks the quote. Hope formatting stays OK. What I mean is he takes an argument and plays both sides, antagonises them both, (while also fighting with Verb), accuses everyone of being mafia. I find that sus. I don't see how it could be an effective ploy to get NKd.

I'm not talking about avoiding, I'm talking about repeatedly lying about what happened over and over again. I have no idea what it gets him. A meltdown? Complete chaos in the thread? A no smoke without fire situation where everyone feels more sus of me afterwards without anything being proved. I notice you have not offered any explanation for why he would do this under any alignment especially as a claimed hider.

And maybe I'm wrong and that Turin/Ironeyes isn't the condemner but scum.  We don't know what kind of reads our doc is supposed to get, he's been blocked.  Maybe Turin had another reason to not want characters names announced.  But he says something that the mod does not.

I dunno it seems unlikely to me. First of all cause it wasn't a slip. He went out of his way to bring it up. Secondly because he would be playing against his wincon. I think he legitimately asked Darthe. But i'm guessing Darthe can't confirm without spewing him...and so he wont. Darthe basically admiied to messing up and mentioned that several players messaged him... that's as much of a reply we'll get from him about the matter.

I was investigating DPR claiming Heavy slipped.  I noticed that Turin said something about his response from Darthe that isn't in Darthe's clarification.  Darthe says the condemner is after a character but did not state one way or another on whether the condemner would know which character.

Idk...maybe the condemner doesn't know who they're after.  Maybe he had other reasons to not want character names out.  But it's still weird to me that he claimed to know something that the mod chose not to share with the class.  

 

There has to be a reason.  Maybe it's a town reason, idk, I'll unvote because of that possibility but I'd like to somehow get clarification.

 

@Darthe does the condemner know which character they're looking for?

If something is inconsistent then there has to be a reason unless it was a misunderstanding on Turin's part but he isn't in the game any longer so we can't confirm that.

The condemner is actually I guess a Hunter. They are looking to kill their target at night. They target a person at night and if that person is their target, that person dies. If not then nothing happens. At least unless they become a SK.

They only know the targets character name so character claiming might be a bad idea.

 

The Hider will not die if they try to hide behind mafia, so that is not a way to try to check alignments. 

 

Those are the two big things that were not clear ( at least to me) from the OP rules and setup information. 

 

I was confused so I asked. The kind mod gave answers. 

 

I think this makes me look a little differently at the people that didn't do very much on D1. Someone's game is mostly staying alive to take pot shots at night.

I'm not trying to start a wildgoose chase.  I just don't feel like Darthe would tell one player something specific without telling everyone unless there is a reason.

 

So either Turin misunderstood or he purposely lied.

Mafia usually want people dead that sus them lol.  Also, killing someone who is creating a lot of WIFOM can lead to confusion about why they were killed so there's that too.

I also hate this argument re: most emo player.  We can't avoid people for their emotion?? If someone sees something they think is sketchy they are going to point it out??

Playing devil's advocate, he could have known a clarification would be forthcoming so preempted it so we would all say, look Turin definitely isn't the Condemner. Everything is subject to WIFOM, no? But it is probably easier to assume he was being straightforward.
