Two ways to look at this.

1. If you happen to watch a wolf, the only info you would get is if the vig shot them. Then you get the vig conf town.

2. If you watch a townie, you only get info if the vig, or mafia kill them. Then you get info as to who killed whom.

6. It's not because you made a joke about it. It's because it was a suggestion. I think it is inconclusive because it couldn't continue due to RTE noting there is no hammer this game. Adding it to the other things that bothered me has you as my most likely mafia at this point. The other two things of note off the cuff were the "bad villager" line and when Len made what seemed a valid point you just said that didn't matter. It felt like moving goalposts.

Ah, ok.  I think we just use the term meta differently.  So you're saying you're a "gut player" and not an "analytical player".

 

Meta is what works, aka the "most effective tactics available", or what playstyle is working best at the time.  So, your meta is to use your gut to read players.  Cool beans, I can get down with that.

That's odd. In my part of the interwebs, meta is how you play the game. In one game I played it became a hot topic as people tried to explain why the literal worst tank in the game had to be nerfed because of its effect on the meta. 

 

But I suppose you could define it your way and essentially use the word in the same way as presumably everyone is adjusting their play to be the most effective... In theory at least. 

 

Food for thought, but my apologies for the digression. I thought when Turin and Dice were rambling about meta it was about people played specifically as town or mafia rather than anything about effectiveness. Obviously need to be sharper around the jargon.

No I think I agree with you here. 

 

Also sorry Gud but someone playing their second game ever and saying they have a gut meta just sounds like they are a liability if they are town. Even people like Dice who say they have a gut feeling are going off a lot more than just their gut. Sorry but that isn't a reassuring thing to hear if you're on my team.
