lol...that actually sounds pretty amazing if I'm honest.  I am slightly sad it's completely unrelated to my question.

It was EXTREMELY AMAZING!

Even if there was no skydiving first.

I am also slightly sad that is completely unrelated to the question.

But also amused because Chris.

But also annoyed, because "Look!! Squirrel!!!" (Squirrels are also amazing) even though I want to try and analyse/follow mind paths.

@Clovdyx

Please do explain.

Progress isn't stupid, but I don't understand how it would fit yet, with what I've put ITT?

Kyoto is the farthest south im going. 4 days there, 2 in Tokyo, 1 in Hakone.

Very short then

Would offer to meet you in Kyoto as it's rather close, but i don't really like Kyoto and a 4 day window isn't likely to be easy, lol

Moving on...

(Oh, and can multi quotes work across pages? Feels like they'd get lost...)

What are people's reasons for town reading AJ?

I think the way he was talking about optimal strategy was coming from a towny mindset.  he also seemed pretty comfortable in the thread.  his tone seems pretty good right now.  He just seems like town!AJ to me.  That said, I've not played with a scum!AJ before so, I have no idea what that would actually look like.

What are your stupid reasons on Cass?  I don't disagree on AJ.

I'd probably add Darc as a town lean as well.

Fair on bwn/penguin.

Nah.  AJ is other me and other Chris.

Sorry if this has been covered and I missed it,

Have you and AJ played together before?

Can you explain your town lean on him here?

And elaborate on Darc as well?

Wolf AJ usually sounds like ... a pretty comfy person ITT with a good grasp and no fear of discussing optimal strategy and with good tone ?? imo, especially on D1/without pressure, which is why I'm wary on the early town reads of him.

He's had a very long run of stressful wolf games taking their toll as games go on lately though.

Yeah, I think AJ and I have played...3 games together now.  We were both town in all three games, but had pretty early town reads on each other...except the one game AJ decided to go all silly and then got paranoid because I was town reading him so hard.  I just explained my reasoning on AJ above.

Darc and I have played a lot of games together.  We have a very good track record of correctly reading each other over our last...idk...6+ games.  The one caveat being that we haven't actually played a game where we've been different alignments, except one maybe like 1.5-2 years ago when Darc first started playing.  Otherwise, we've either always been town together or scum together afaic remember.  I have spectated a game where Darc was 3P.  Darc seems pretty comfortable in the thread, which is probably more impressive since this is the first time she's played here.  I know she struggles to post and be as active as mafia because she feels more pressure on a team.  I wouldn't say I'm certain she's town at this point, but the fact that she's in the thread and freely sharing thoughts is a very good look for her.

Do you remember what his last wolf game was?

It was the last big game that ran here. And...the one before that as well ?

The last game I played was like a year ago, so I am sorta flyin on outdated information for this game. Gonna be fun, but don't expect me to be able to fill you in on any new developments.

From what I remember of AJ, as a wolf he is still pretty confident and composed. What I tend to look for is how easy it is to sway him. I feel like town AJ will stick to the guns, other people can deal with it. Wolf would be more willing to shift if it means a decent lynch.

But I also suck at this game sooo...

Do you think that'll show up in this game? Voting for a town read is pretty different to lynching scum

AJ what do you make of Cass and Dice right now?

The Cass paranoia/tinfoil stuff is ~on par from what I’ve learned to expect. I used to look at her cross early in games because I’d think it was overdone but a recent-ish game made me realize differently. I don’t think I’ve ever not caught her as scum so there’s that.

Dice seems fine tone wise. The banter with Cass is NAI cause they always rib each other. There’s was something earlier that I was thinking to myself about him but I don’t remember it now

I could see that.  The last game AJ and I played, he was pretty dead set on lynching scum!BFG.  He hard defended town!me a fair bit, too.  I wasn't sure if it was just because he had that strong of a read on her/me, or if he's actually just that stubborn as town in general.  I don't feel like he was particularly stubborn in the first two games we played, but they were both on PerC and he didn't really know anyone, so I can see why town!AJ would have been more reserved there.  Our 3rd game was on DM, so I can see why he would have been more confident in his reads in that game.

First of all, I was prepared.to post minutes before Kat but cory was slow opening.

Second. Kat is from the south and therefore does not count as a person

Ok so scrolled fast to catch up and you know what YOU'RE NOT A PERSON

I support Lenlo in his endeavors and will follow him anywhere

I mean... "lynching" someone isnt really a thing anymore in this game. Votes are actually good. If you get votes, it means people trust your judgement on who to accuse in a court of GOAT.

So really... you want votes. Right?

Yes, from what I've read

On a serious note (not that my other comment wasn't serious, because it's probably the most +EV thing you can do this game), I've actually given a lot of thought to the best strategy for this kind of game since I signed up.  I get the argument for why you would be voting your peek, but ideally people will be stating who they will accuse prior to voting closing.  If your peek is going to accuse somebody you're strongly townreading, that's probably a bad thing.  Similarly, if you know that X is going to accuse your biggest scumread, you might vote them.

It's weird.  But voting with your top townreads isn't necessarily the best approach

I take back the you not a real person.  Thank you for kinda helping explain, because this whole thing is new to me

I'm WIFOMing myself into circles here,  but I disagree that there's "basically a ZERO percent chance in lynching scum" if a wolf ends up in the accusers position.

Gambits can be a thing. My hat won't let me rule that out.

I am too tired for these sorts of thoughts *wails* and having played a similarish "elect a leader" game before where setup discussion didn't about to much but random NAI discussion, I don't know if it's worth trying to instigate a set rule.

Maybe leave it up to each individual accuser so we can see how they approach the decision/decide it?

Current plan:

Find wolfy people, advocate for their lynch if confident. Find Towny people, oppose their lynch. Make reads.

Vote !wolfy?! people on trial hang, No/Abstain otherwise.

I think if everyone does that, then uses voting results and follow-up behaviour to repeat, the game works.

TLDR: I don't have brain capacity to weigh the pros/cons/value of unofficial votes and the potential for their benefit vs distraction/misuse yet. Make reads,  act on reads, kill scum.

Ok so Cass is my #1 would vote person atm XD  I'm the wame way wrt the TLDR

I feel like a solid core atm with Clov/Lenlo/Cass/AJ - All are pretty invested/making good posts.  I was off on AJ last game, but his tone still reads well to me, so GONNA GO WITH IT

Tell me what leans etc you're getting from other players anywhere so far?

What did you expect his motivations were?

Essentially to get a rise out of me, regardless of his alignment, given our previous game with a similar setup that he knows tortured me - ?.

Truthfully I think he makes that claim as seriously as he has in either alignment also though. Watching that space.
