considering i just got lynched today as a doc where i wasnt even under any suspicion but a train came out of nowhere 30 mins before DL im sure you can see why im nervous

You see, a lot of this game has to do with seeing how people react to certain things and sometimes pressure isn't really pressure, per say. On the surface, it would appear that we are a group gathered together for the purpose of finding teh scum - and you will have noticed the lengths that folks go to to "show" others that they are part of this wholesome and dedicated group. But evil lurks among us, and sometimes it's easy to overlook that for as much as the Town is trying to solve, the Mafia is also trying to misdirect and confuse.

The trick is to ignore when people are reaction testing or just nudging you to see what you will do, but to also make note of when people are trying to paint you in a certain light.

Say, for instance, you just finished a game where you were scum and now everybody is spooked - happens to everybody. It's easy for scum to point fingers at you when that last round is so fresh in everybody's mind.

Some folks, especially those that consider themselves to be skilled players, may take particular offense at being fooled and that might carry for several games after. Just how it is. These players are sometimes easy to manipulate because when you point the finger at the person that just rolled them, you are telling them what they want to hear. If scum, they may also be the first to use your past game against you.

So the trick is to separate the games, separate speculation from fact and to try and spot people that are using the "wrong" information to lead you to the conclusions they want you to accept.

In that light, there have been a number of people who have added "confusion" to this game. They depend heavily upon meta. They bring emo into the game. They do little to nothing to present plain evidence for the sake of analysis. In return, I don't worry too much about them trying to apply pressure.

I did ask Cory for his opinions/POV but that’s just part of the game but I really don’t think anyone reading me D1 would say that I depended on him or followed him on reads or whatever. Can you give some specific examples?

2. Cory is in the game. That means that we will be playing "connection ball". Everybody knows this. Especially you.

5. I said you were reflecting off of Cory - "parroting" would be to simply agree with everything Cory says. Reflecting implies that you are hyper aware of his presence in the game and your decision making feels like it is more focused on his reaction to it as opposed to someone simply trying to solve.

1. Sometimes throwing something out and seeing what people say is a worth while exercise. Furthermore, based on my interpretation of the playing field D1, I thought it could be a possibility. We can argue about what is Basic and what isn’t, but I don’t particularly think that argument will be fruitful.

2. You’re gonna have to explain this one differently so I understand better. I don’t see what Cory has to do with it other than he was one of the (correct) connections that I made.

3. I’ll rephrase. 11 is an unconventional number of players, at least here in my experience. Another agree to disagree argument.

4. If we’re gonna have a discussion I should explain my thought process - no?

5. That’s an interesting take. I don’t feel I’ve been playing to or for Cory at all. I think a lot of my reactions/takes have been original and without fear.

6. I get it. Hard analysis isn’t as easy as before. Without evidence then there’s no proving or disproving either.

I hope your angle here isn’t that I’m pandering to Cory because he said you were suspect D1. Before the claim I had him and Kaylee both in my bottom three, so I’m not sure if I believe this is a genuine thought from you or not.

I don’t take offense to being fooled, if anything I give you props and have a lot of respect. Good on you, you played a clean game and even when you did blatant stunts to save a teammate, I still overlooked them.

Beyond that, I like you’re a pretty cool dude. You say some pretty funny stuff and generally are fun to have on the roster.

All that said, this isn’t about last game at all minus for maybe some meta now that I have seen you scum firsthand. Meta comes with the territory, you know that.

D1 you were pretty unengaged. Your main points of interest were defending from being shaded, and then the discussion about what it or isn’t potty mouth.

D2 you’ve come out and decided that I am scum. I know at least in that regard you’re wrong. We’re in the middle of figuring that one out. Your read on Zander is pretty wishy washy and basically boils down to a coin flip, from what I took away. The argument that either Zander or I are scum also reminds me of last game where you propped up the same either/or argument with me and Lenlo.

Gonna start here - the "offense" bit is supposed to be humorous. Please don't think that it is meant in any other way. You're a great player, obviously, and I love you to <3

My point about REFFLECTING didn't have anything to do with Cory's opinions or play. It has to do with your reaction to his presence. Imagine going to dinner with friends to a restaurant you really like (even though it has really bad internet connectivity...). Now imagine that same dinner, but there is a Grizzly bear inside with you. You wind up paying a lot less attention to the other people and the dinner, and much more on the bear. He plays on a bit of a different level (and that's not to say he isn't a friend. He's just more of a Grizzly friend if you're scum).

As far as your summary of my play goes, I think you're just flat wrong. I made a point to try and highlight anything important and to not clutter with other stuff - I said that I was going to do that. You are now arguing that it's better to speculate ( multiball ) than it is to watch and not clutter. We had this issue last game with EP - dude had a "theory" for everything and I exploited that to lay down cover all over the place. It makes it easier for scum.

Today, I've got you and Zander, and still dice. You are all my best guesses for scum. I've made my points - it is what it is.

This one bothers me a lot - this definitely falls into the category of clutter for clutter's sake.

There is no unconventional number of players - we've all played and modded tons of games with every combination of players. It's just not an issue.

But it does give people something else to concentrate on other than "who is teh wolves".

OK with Dice/DPR/Hally

Not really in order except I feel I have the least amount of handle on DPR

Dice for reasons I mentioned. Seems to only want to lynch people who fought with him over swearing.

Hally because she's tapered of and is seemingly avoiding me and others ITT.

DPR- Just feels slimy and not a fan of his push on me. And PoE

Obv for now not lynching claimed Masons tho I still have issues but Im not bothering with it.

AJ's felt pretty clean all game.

Derf Im agreeing with which scares me to no end but hasnt pinged me yet.

Socio has been posting and feels fairly open and clean. So unless he's not actually a 1st time player or is being coached up well behind the scenes leaning Town on him.

Good morning! (Kinda got woken art 5:30 and had a hard time going back to sleep).

Anyways I said I'd explain why I tied the trains.

1. They are all in POE. I do have Hally highest of the 3.

2. We now have a 3 way tie with high lightly hood of scum being one. From here on out we have to make a decision to achieve a lynch. Every vote and unvote will be looked at. Reasons should be given. If we don't lynch correctly good info should be gleaned from the voting pattern. (I had wanted to wait to say all this, but due to Dice freaking out promised I'd say why now).

Tbh Zander is in my poe as well, but having the tied trains is what I was going for. (Reactions and reasons)
