You're kinda slimy this game. You criticize my D1 vote on Darthe & Sooh as being scummish, but then you defend Nolder's blatant disregard for any other player in the game to go after me based on only meta?

Meta is great and all when you have nothing else to go on, or you're developing a hunch. Once you have actual fact-based evidence, meta is far less important.

What are your thoughts regarding my non-meta case on Nolder?

I sussed seph's reasoning for sussing nol, it could have been ANYONE seph was sussing because it was his REASONING that I called him out on, which if you took 1O SECONDS to read my post you'd know that, but instead you try to sell the fact im defending Nol when Ive been sussing that spot since i subbed in.

I am for better or for worse, its something I try to work on.

I know you are a meta player. It's why I spend time trying to work with you and steer you toward the light.

My point was always that you support the use of meta over evidence. You criticize Seph's case on Nolder, but you never criticize Nolder's case on me. If you want to consider this a defense of Nolder, you can, but I've been as clear as I can to point out that my issue is with your acceptance of meta as a case element.

When you get a free moment, I would genuinely be interested in your thoughts regarding Nol.

He's in my PoE based on Wifi;s and his game tho admittedly these are 2 people I dont read well.

Ive seen Nolder say he's not reading as BOTH alignments, Ive seen Nolder self vote as BOTH alignments and Ive seen him tunnel as BOTH as well iirc.

And Wifi I just really dont know how to read.

You keep saying I dont use game play, well its been game play Im sussing them over and its the fact the Meta I have Ive seen well Nol more but even Wifi to an extent to these type things as either alignment so I dont feel as strongly as I'd like to if that makes sense to you.

Hey guys. Sorry for disappearing...again... Had a very bad day yesterday and that caused me to become unnecessarily angry at DPR's insult. So I had to take some time away from the game.

I recently saw him act this way, without change, as scum 2 or 3 times in a row.

If he isn't scum again then I need a longer hiatus from the game because this is as blatant as it gets imo.

I feel like DPR is being served on a silver platter for me it can't be wrong.

So I'm pulling quotes that intrigue me viewed from under this tinfoil hat. DO NOT MISTAKE THIS FOR ME BUILDING A CASE. That's never what I promised to do - this is food for thought, looking at the interactions between them. if you don't like the theory, chalk it up to me being kind of an idiot sometimes. I think that too.

We start out with the part of Nolder being played by WiFi. Here's where it started getting squirrely:

Eeyore was always my favorite because of 2 things: he was a horse and he was blue, both things I loved.

Dead giveaway imo.

Vote Wifi

WiFi went from happily chattering away about Eeyore to explaining how votes make her nervous like whiplash - it's like there were several logical steps missing.

OK so I never liked winnie the pooh. Just eeyore and only cause he resembled a horse, was painted in my favorite color and acted how I felt all the time.

and I know how that looks all of a sudden but its the truth. I tend to get vote shy in beginning of the game for some reason. When that's the last place I should be vote shy.

She tries to explain herself here, but again, there are steps missing, We all write it off as typical WiFi weirdness and move on.

Darthe pops in and tosses around a few hot takes, then votes DPR and calls him possible 3rd party.

DPR unvotes WiFi because hell, it was just a joke and he didn't want to leave it out there when the game was getting serious.

WiFi normally has at least a few scum suspects, and a lot more of her thought process included in her reads lists. As BFG mentioned later, her DPR read is really the only one that looks normal for a WiFi reads list.

So here's the thing about me and mafia. It's very much like me and playing pool.

I'm not particularly all that good at it (probably because I never took physics), but every so often I pull off a truly impressive shot that makes me look like I know what the hell I'm doing. Sometimes it's even what I intended to accomplish. Those moments are exhilarating and make me love it so much that I'm willing to suffer all the times I scratch, actually miss hitting the cue ball entirely, or utterly fail to separate the balls on the break.

N2 was one of my flashes of brilliance. N3 I tried to pull something tricksy assuming the mafia wasn't actually dumb enough to target me, but were observant enough to catch a couple of hints I dropped earlier in the game.

N1 I watched BFG, like I mentioned, and I saw Crusher target her. My assumption was that he was a town power role, probably doc, as she was being widely town read and I was wavering between her and Sooh for the most likely to be targeted for the NK. I tossed Crusher in my list of "people I'm not so much interested in voting today" D2, but when BFG called me on it I realized I didn't have any justification for town reading him based on his actual game content, and I didn't want to broadcast my PR that early, so I played it off as "I thought I saw something, but wasn't sure what it meant". Which was actually true.

Crusher went inactive D2, and I kept my thoughts on him to myself - DPR's little drop of meta that Crusher tends to bring his "A" game when he's scum gave me enough justification to keep him out of my serious POE for D2 anyway.

When I revealed D3 I assumed Crusher's spot was going to stay inactive without a sub and I would be a dead duck. Just in case, at the beginning of N3 I stated my intention to watch myself... and then I started having all these amazing swirling thoughts about who the mafia team could be, and I thought just mayyyyybe one of them might be sharp enough to spot my little D2 Crusher slip. And so when Zander replaced Crusher, instead of watching myself get protected and risking missing the kill, I watched Zander.

Saw nothing.

So there's my results from N3, and I hang my head in shame for trying to outWIFOM the night kill and assuming the mafia team was eagle eyed enough to spot who I assumed was the doc.

Mafia team could have inactives in it or people who arent eagle eyed so to speak.

Dont be upset with you choice my dear.

Try this tinfoil hat on for size: Darthe/Nolder/DPR mafia team, super sized with WIFOM, now with twice the gambit-y goodness.

It kinda sheds an interesting light on D3. In fact, I think I could pull quotes for dayyyyys that look fascinating in that light.

Tinfoil-y through and through, but I am tempted to toss Nolder in with DPR regardless.

I believe your head is in the right place (on top of your neck, where you left it, ldo). Of the rest of the crowd, I would say I am least confident with Seph and Hallia, then Marsh is in the middle of the pack. Ed kinda made it into my "likely town" pile with his obvious move of obviousness.

I know it sounds crazy, but I think my last game here or on JN or the 2nd to last I played the entire Scum did bussed out each other, so no its not as crazy as it sounds, I dont know for sure if thats what it is but Im certainly not dismissing it.

Can you show me some of these quotes Tress it will totally help me make better sense of things.

It's deadline based, so it doesn't matter if we wait for claims or not. We can change our vote at any time during the fight.

As for claims, DPR has already claimed VT, and Nolder per meta will refuse to claim even if he's town doc about to be lynched because he doesn't believe in it.

I'm following, mostly. Basically this is the game as I understand it: Tress, Ed, Zander PRs of some sort, lock town. Nolder and DPR in a knock-down-drag-out, Seph partially involved. Hallia coming back with stuff to say, Dice basically exactly how he's been since day one, generally towny but not a strong force in the game.

So my WTL list consists of DPR, Nol, Seph, and Halli, in about that order. Since DPR and Nol clearly want to duke it out it made perfect sense to me to let them have tonight's fight.

This is pretty much where Im at tho the order of DPR and Nol could be switched but it wouldnt really matter I suppose....lol

My #1 for scum is Nolder. I'll pick someone else out before deadline, but I'm still waiting/watching. I'll be disappointed - not overly surprised, but disappointed if another gambit consipiracy takes off. Truth is, this game took wayyy too long to lynch Darthe. I was for that lynch from D1 and voted there. There wouldn't have even been time to gambit had we done that... just sayin'.

That's actually a pretty solid line of logic. The Kivam-style gambit has gotten to be legendary on DM, which makes it hard to pull off since everyone knows how it works.

People pull this off FAR more often then you think, and DPR knows this, this is like the go to JN Scum team move.

So my WTL list consists of DPR, Nol, Seph, and Halli, in about that order. Since DPR and Nol clearly want to duke it out it made perfect sense to me to let them have tonight's fight.

I guess so. But that's what we were all thinking about the Darthe/Cuth fight, and that didn't go as expected at all. Matter of fact, the only fight that's been boring so far was last night, and that's entirely because Tress had a guilty result on Darthe, so that basically invalidated all argument. The rest have brought out interesting new arguments

Welp, you'll be depending on Nolder for them. I'm still VT and there's nothing to really add to what I've said.

So basically, your looking at 24 hours of Nol expressing his innermost secret feelings about how I'm scum. I may get another sig out of it, true, but I figure we might want to consider putting someone else in the spotlight for the sake of info, no? My dead horse has been beaten so hard, Tress is pulling out the gambit on me...

But, do what you gotta do. I'll entertain as I am able.

So here's the thing about me and mafia. It's very much like me and playing pool.

I'm not particularly all that good at it (probably because I never took physics), but every so often I pull off a truly impressive shot that makes me look like I know what the hell I'm doing. Sometimes it's even what I intended to accomplish. Those moments are exhilarating and make me love it so much that I'm willing to suffer all the times I scratch, actually miss hitting the cue ball entirely, or utterly fail to separate the balls on the break.

N2 was one of my flashes of brilliance. N3 I tried to pull something tricksy assuming the mafia wasn't actually dumb enough to target me, but were observant enough to catch a couple of hints I dropped earlier in the game.

N1 I watched BFG, like I mentioned, and I saw Crusher target her. My assumption was that he was a town power role, probably doc, as she was being widely town read and I was wavering between her and Sooh for the most likely to be targeted for the NK. I tossed Crusher in my list of "people I'm not so much interested in voting today" D2, but when BFG called me on it I realized I didn't have any justification for town reading him based on his actual game content, and I didn't want to broadcast my PR that early, so I played it off as "I thought I saw something, but wasn't sure what it meant". Which was actually true.

Crusher went inactive D2, and I kept my thoughts on him to myself - DPR's little drop of meta that Crusher tends to bring his "A" game when he's scum gave me enough justification to keep him out of my serious POE for D2 anyway.

When I revealed D3 I assumed Crusher's spot was going to stay inactive without a sub and I would be a dead duck. Just in case, at the beginning of N3 I stated my intention to watch myself... and then I started having all these amazing swirling thoughts about who the mafia team could be, and I thought just mayyyyybe one of them might be sharp enough to spot my little D2 Crusher slip. And so when Zander replaced Crusher, instead of watching myself get protected and risking missing the kill, I watched Zander.

Saw nothing.

So there's my results from N3, and I hang my head in shame for trying to outWIFOM the night kill and assuming the mafia team was eagle eyed enough to spot who I assumed was the doc.

Mafia team could have inactives in it or people who arent eagle eyed so to speak.

Try this tinfoil hat on for size: Darthe/Nolder/DPR mafia team, super sized with WIFOM, now with twice the gambit-y goodness.

It kinda sheds an interesting light on D3. In fact, I think I could pull quotes for dayyyyys that look fascinating in that light.

Tinfoil-y through and through, but I am tempted to toss Nolder in with DPR regardless.

I believe your head is in the right place (on top of your neck, where you left it, ldo). Of the rest of the crowd, I would say I am least confident with Seph and Hallia, then Marsh is in the middle of the pack. Ed kinda made it into my "likely town" pile with his obvious move of obviousness.

Meh, had a response typed out and got cloud flared.

In short, the gambit talk is a waste of time. I like ideas - I'm cool with sharing theories - but pushing them and a player toward a lynch veers into scum territory.

I brought up the recruit theory because I've seen it done. I didn't name anyone as a recruit.

Between Tress and Zander going back and forth to color in the gambit picture, they're just distracting everyone from actual scumhunting.

No violin here - vote who you're going to vote. If everyone is all excited to see me in the ring again, I'll just take it as a compliment. I just think we have more info to gain by putting the spotlight on others.

I'd rather not vote Noldy and DPR just because they're the two loudest, most annoying ones atm. Would rather have more input, especially from the quiet people. And I need to reread some things if I can while at work.

Im not sure if its gonna make any difference like basically to me, its voting them to fight but other then waiting for claims it just like we'd not wait it out and just vote which of the 2 we think is more likely to be Scum.

But another issue, if we put inactives in there and they remain inactive, what do we accomplish?!?!?!

Basically to me in this spot, we pick the 2 most likely Scum in and then just let them claim say their piece but not wait however long and vote the one we think is Scummiest.

It's deadline based, so it doesn't matter if we wait for claims or not. We can change our vote at any time during the fight.

As for claims, DPR has already claimed VT, and Nolder per meta will refuse to claim even if he's town doc about to be lynched because he doesn't believe in it.

Honestly, getting this far into the game, leaving inactive people out there is bad for town no matter what. If they're Town, we don't have them here to provide input and narrow things down. If they're scum, and we leave them, it keeps the scum team alive longer.

I have tinfoil on DPR in the back of my head but ive been stepping on it pretty firmly so it didnt take over. heres the thing. DPR/Darthe scum team i could buy but im not buying him and nolder. Nolders too sharp in his responses. they feel truly annoyed. That could be cause hes caught could be cause he is town. dunno really. But i DONT think he and DPR are scum together
