that's my revised scum poe, though i'd definitely lynch seph over sooh

 

seph... was blatantly towny last game, i thought

 

this game he comes in, just blanket townreads half of the game without ever saying why, and then is inconsistent in talking about who his suspects are and why

 

he has pretty high equity at this point

 

Can you show where Seph 'blanket town reads half the game'?

 

Disagree a fair amount on Sooh, possibly Seph although I want to see what he does now and want to know why he didn't vote last fight

 

oh and yeah i'm not 100% on Darthe obviously, though i still think there's a very good chance there

 

have been purposefully exaggerating

 

oh right seph was also pushing the dpr/me agenda ever since he got back

 

which while it could be town there's also the problematic bit that he's pushing two towns (assuming DPR is, which i'm pretty convinced of)

blanket town reads iirc he comes into thread with like three or four, and by EoD is down to "only every lynch four" but was really inconsistent about who those four were, and whether he wanted to lynch them, and what his reads actually were at all

 

and voting dpr and myself without really looking at the other options in any visible way 

 

DPR is voted by and voted darthe and sooh

 

his reaction to the fight was towny

 

there's nothing scummy about his play

 

Seph comes in with a town read on Dice (and Dice typically gets town read early when town) then says he thinks WiFi is town, but doesn't know what her scum game looks like. After that votes Ed, switched to Crusher and DPR) agrees with my reads. Would probably say neither Dice or WiFi are teamed with Seph if Seph is scum (more confident on Dice, mostly because my read on Dice is reasonable at this point). Have questions about his end of day to, and need to reread end of day in general :/

What I got so far (in order of player list):

 

1. BFG  - Meh. Relies far too heavily on player's manual. Slight scum lean.

2. Darthe - Scummish. As previously stated, doing his Darthe act.
3. Sooh - Personally, I found her wishy-washy, bordering on nervous for D1. Scum lean 
4. Ironeyes - Null
5. Cuth - Town lean
6. Seph - Scum or really rattled. He really did blanket clear most of the game to focus on nonsense.
7. Songstress - Null to Town.
8. Wildfire Sedai - Null. Probably a Godfather.

9. Crusher - Null. Need to see more play.

10. DreadPirateRoberts - Dead sexy

11. Dicetosser1 - Null

12. Hallia - Null. Need to see more play.

13, Ed2funy - Got my eye here. Need just a bit more to see intention.

He said that my (very recent) game with you as partners could be coloring my perceptions. That's something I hadn't considered and it's probably true. I have a chronic case of recency bias, where what happened in the near past weighs more heavily on my reasoning than the more distant past.

What's your read on Cuth/DPR now?

 

Hmm. Cuth seems more towny now, for sure. I think the biggest alignment indicator for me was his eagerness to no-lynch. With the exception of the (unlikely IMO) possibility of them being scummates, I think that shows towny. If he were scum and in a thunderdome with town he'd likely take the opportunity to get his opponent dead.

Oh, and the same goes for DPR. I forgot to include him, but the same argument applies.

 

Numbers wise I don't think this is actually true, but I suspect most players won't view numbers the same way so it's probably true in most scenarios.

 

I don't really trust either of them at the moment, but suspect you're right that if One's scum and the other town they'd have pushed for a mislynch.

Not important, but with odd numbers a no lynch for mafia is similar to a mislynch purely based on numbers. Different this game because setups closed

@ cuth. I misread this post. Thought you wanted here more from Darthe here. You were talking about more from Ironeyes. I agree you stayed very consistent on Darthe.

Eeeehhhhh, gonna say this now. People who are already saying that during a Fight, the fact that DPR and Cuth both coming together so quick and opting for a No Lynch (I legit hve a feeling that DPR asked if No Lynch was an option because I've been in games with him where he asks a hundred and one dalma - questions, but that's neither here nor there at the moment) and not trying to pin the other person down as scum....

 

That doesn't mean they're town or lean town, imo. The people pushing that viewpoint are gonna be under my radar when I get onto my laptop and reread.

 

It was the first Fight after a slower Day 1 than usual. It makes sense anyone wouldn't be super strong on pushing for someone, depending on their read. I don't like how fast they both came into agreement (can't remember off hand how hard they were going for each other pre-fight, though), but their willingness to work together and aim for a No Lynch does not indicate town or Mafia.

 

Setting that precedence now is a bad idea and can be used by Mafia to connect themselves to being town-aligned if/when they're in a Fight.

Not really riding the fence, though. I legit don't have a strong opinion formed on the fight between you two and he lead up to it.

 

I do have a strong opinion about people using the connect-the-dots, look-how-they-handled-the-fight, must-be-town, to push you and Cuth as Town. Whether it was you and me, two other people, or anyone, setting that precedence isn't right.

 

 

We're talking about D1 with zero coroner info, so I think it's fair to say that nobody is ready to bank anyone as town just yet. 

 

I don't see any precedence being set - I saw a lack of any cases being presented, hence a no lynch vote made to preserve possible townies.

 

It's obviously extremely unlikely we'll see another no lynch, regardless of how the fighters conduct themselves.

Sooh sat on the edge of the bathtub and washed a layer of caked on blood and spit off her feet.  Bruises painted her legs a gorgeous shade of disgusting.  Beauty is pain.  She looked like Helen of Troy.

 

She watched the runny mud water swirl around the drain, mixed with her wasted life.  Sooh reached for a towel to dry herself.  She looked up, surprised, as a layer of powder fell onto skin.

 

"What is this?" she asked.  She struggled to get another word out as she doubled over in crippling pain.  Her skin began to smolder.

 

This?  This was chemical burn.  It burned worse than anything she had ever felt.  The smell alone as enough to make her faint.  She would not wake up again.

 

 

Sooh has been killed!  She was -

Because of heavy burns all over her bruised and battered body, it is impossible to identify her.

This is Mafia. Anyone pushing even a half narrative starts to set a precedence that Mafia can use to their advantage. Similar to how you called Sooh or Seph out for leaning town on me but leaving it ambiguous enough to turn to scum later. You're well aware that a good Mafia player could turn that to their advantage even with it being a Fight 1 fluke.

Actual work happening at work, imagine that. Hoping things calm down in 3 hours or so. I am processing a few thoughts, will do a full list of reads when I get home.

 

Until then, the first thing I want to say is that DPR listing me as "null to town" in his reads list gave me a slight skin crawling moment. I am assuming this is entirely based on the theory that all 3 top trains yesterday were on townies because I was superbly terrible over the weekend.

 

Other than that I have felt pretty ok with him, he won't be on my WTL today. Will narrow it down when I get home tonight.
