That's really powerful, Rhaegar! Thank you for sharing that with us 🙂
-
LoL yeah I feel what you're saying. They sure do put us on a roller coaster ride!

Luckily there are many sides in the WoT, and you go with the one that resonates with you.
I've always been on the Aes Sedai side, myself, but that's not to say that I think they're perfect (and I don't think Nynaeve should have been Raised at all :P). In fact, most of them I'd love to line up and smack around a bit ... LoL
If you look carefully, you'll realise that not a single person in the WoT is perfect. They're all just human (or wolf, or horse).

Is there any setting to get emails about new PMs just once per day / week / etc., instead of once per PM? I had a quick look around, but can't seem to find any...
There is something for once a week or such, I think?
We used to have it send just 1 email when there was a new post / message, and then it wouldn't send you another until you've looked at it, and then there's another update. That worked nicely.

I have to agree with my Heavy, there *grins*
Not so sure what Sorilea would do with Prof McGonigall 🤣

Goodness me but that's a lot going on there! And it looks delicious!

OMW definitely not! You know where the commas and fullstops go, and all! *grins*
But seriously, you're exactly right (IMHO) when you say this series touches some of us like nothing else does or ever will. I even joined Dragonmount, which is not something I thought I'd ever do, and which no other book, series, show or movie has done.

I must try that stuffing. With Ryrin Sedai's cranberry sauce. Will need to get some poultry and learn to cook properly. Sounds like an easy job 🙂
I vote we just go crash their parties ... lol

Cairos, won't you be cooking yourself to a standstill??? Goodness me!

Oh, that's awesome. As you may know, we are famous for our black metal here in Norway, and I was quite into that scene while a student. Never as a DJ though!
I do know *grins*
Didn't know a thing about HM when the station boss dropped it on me one night because his regular guy, Edgar, was sick. I'm classically trained (piano, Royal School of Music, 11 years) so had NO clue. Luckily the first thing I played was something from Metalica's Black Album. You don't really get more "classically" composed Heavy Metal music than that 😛
I just blathered on about the similarity in composition between that and Bach or something ... apparently people were intrigued.

Red Cabbage Salad (sorry I think I just spent five minutes trying to remember what a kool is in English)
Rooikoolslaai ... love it! *grins*
We sometimes add raisins to that.

I'm so thankful that the both of you are here, and happy!
I'm also thankful to Cross, who's kept the WT/W going when I was going through a very difficult time, along with Ryrin, Lily and DJ.
I'm thankful for Delenn returning, and Cairos as well.
I'm thankful for the joy our new aspies, Heavy and Eirik, are bringing to these boards.

you were a DJ?!
Yep - I did the Heavy Metal segment late night *grins*
Oh and dance DJ'ed too, with my boyfriend.

@Cross OMW that reminds me of the days when I was a DJ at the Student Radio Station! Though no computers then just vinyl. Something like this:

We have privacy in the rooms, but we have to carry our stuff from room to room.
That really does not sound ergonomic.

Hi Crestfall - welcome to DM!

Trevor is hilarious! But yeah, totally different.

Are you saying we should understand each other? >_>
A bit, yeah! I see a lot of the Scandinavian languages, because lots of friends in that area, and may words are similar or even alike to Afrikaans. The spelling is often closer to Afrikaans than the Dutch spelling is.
Afrikaans is a very simplified form of Dutch, but with a lot of German influence as well as a bit of French, and Malaysian.
-
Jeez that's so close to Afrikaans O_O
-
That looks like German *squints*
