Hallia doesn't inherently trust emotional behavior. It's a little different for me and her because we have tons of experience with eachother.

I suppose it doesn't matter, but formulaic is not the right word to describe what I mean about laine. More like, calculated, mostly because of that read list she offered. Seemed she was merely responding to some pressure in a contrived way.

 

Could come from town her as well however. And it's such a little thing. I'm almost disappointing I don't have anything more to offer, but I skipped most of Z's posts because of his black avatar. The ones I did read, read as somehow too political, but that's sand in my hands.

If its nbd to really dig in a read for one player because it's day one, how can you a couple of hours later push a player for not showing themselves enough day one, sili? The two thoughts should conflict if you consider the internal reasoning behind them.

Cory is probably confusing me the most at the moment. There are posts that sound like Cory, although that only really means null, but the thinking in them are things I expect from town Cory (plane post about Cory early on), his post where he explained a specific post of Zanders he didn't like .

 

The biggest problem I have is the lack of transparency, it feels like the tell don't show Matrix thing. But for example he went from thinking Regy could be mafia to town with no indication of what caused either read, Cory's reads are more easily defined when he's town. Need to ISO to see if this is a consistent thing

 

Thread environment is another nebulous 'thing'. I don't really know how to read his 'mail it in' posts from earlier or his response to SiRReN. I know this is something he wants to change from his mafia game, don't know if they're more likely from him as town or mafia.

 

Beyond that his approach towards Zander feels odd, I don't understand why he's picking the 'post by post' catch up fight this game. Regardless of how he feels about Zander's approach it's how he approaches most games. Very minor, but why vote Darthe when he did, there are people in his nulls that he could have talked to?

You're going at both Zander and I who were trying to get the game started and say that you're uneasy, and then question my leans when the Zander part is clearly a joke. This post just read really forced to me, though I said stilted earlier, meaning it's a little stiff. I dunno maybe I'm just not characterizing it right. These three posts still really ping me. At this point the jokes were turning more serio since Hally was sussing Zander and I and these posts seriously stand out to me. They may not stand out to Zander but they bother me. I just don't see the point in them.

Perhaps I'm just reading too much into all of this when I should be seeing Kat acclimating to the thread but that she says she's been watching the thread and has read everything doesn't sit right with me. Maybe I"m just expecting a more serious start and shouldn't be, contrast with Regy's first post of the game: "hi, I don't like these people, blah blah blah"- it's forthcoming and confident. I'm not sure this makes Kat a wolf, but it definitely makes me want to watch her.

Only thing that bothers me here is the tone change. From I don't have anything to contribute defensive, to this is what I think fence sitting (but still thinking), to snark on that last line. =/ Probably would overall characterize it as defensive but I wouldn't expect Kat to give a different response as a villa/wolf... seems pure though over-explained.
 

You can't read and not for SOME opinion. However I don't feel the need to post my every thought. Honestly most of the time my initial assumptions are wrong and I like to withhold my thought until I have some kind of firm data to go on. Honestly right now I don't think anyone is that scummy at all. D1 I post fluff. Honestly it's hard to do a lot else. Especially when the game has been going on for barely 3 hours. Though I have to say Lainey and Zander are both being annoying with their overly trying to solve in the first 5 minutes thing. I don't know if it's scummy or not but I don't like it... maybe because it's early d1 and i'm already annoyed... or maybe it's because i'm annoyed at work so i'm already annoyed... lol hmmmm

I had to walk away from the game after this post because it really bothered me that you think there's a problem with trying to solve the game and I dislike being called annoying for trying to do so. Now that I've had some distance from this interaction... it still bothers me. You seem extremely annoyed that I called you out about those posts, and the attack on me as a person was uncalled for. On the other hand, me commenting on your posts and how I read them is fair game. They were "busy work" posts and I still stand by that assessment. Probably going to drop this whole conversation now or erase this section of my reread or w/e ugh

#175 disagree with Regy's vote on Sili. This is probably town Sili behavior. He gut reads and fits things to it later, his style has a way of riling people up sometimes. meh. Doesn't change my thoughts about Regy: tone is good, might be a good thing?

Scum team Seph/Cory/BFG or Princess? ? ? I'm on page 17-18 and Seph isn't reading very well atm. He seems tripped up in what he wants to say about Kat&hydra. I don't understand how we can't be v/v, first of all. That just seems something backwards to point out. I could understand saying we couldn't be w/w since I've been attacking Kat but saying we can't be t/t is awks because town can be wrong? And then at the top of page 18 he says that that doesn't mean we can't be w/w... so basically there's at least one wolf between us. It leaves open later if one of us flips villa, for Seph to go after the other. Also a little sus of Seph's pocket attempt with me in one of his first posts. As for Cory, rereading I do see where tonally Cory was off and acting strange though I think he's improved in the latter game (where things are at currently in the 40s pages). I meant to pull up one of the posts from earlier but forgot to, I know that Z already mentioned it so I'll leave it be. I recall Cory always being very easy to read as town but I've never wanted to lynch him... just tinfoil a bit. So I'm not sure if it's the result of him actually being off personally or the result of being a wolf. Probably not time for me to make that decision but I wanted to state my stance. Sili p22-23 probably still town with his reactions to Regy. I'm not sure I see where all the offense was but it seems more like a misunderstanding/miscommunication than anything. I'm basing my town lean on Regy from tone of posts and general ease of giving reads- seems genuine enough to me, though I'm getting caught up in his push on Sili a bit which worries me slightly. Early interaction with Zander was good too. Sirren feels okay purely becasue I haven't disliked anything from her yet and she feels very at ease.

Hally's quickness to jump on Sili (top of 23) is ~ but I think it bohers me purely because I think Sili is town here probably maybe.

Clov needs to stop saying things on thread after I think them bc then I just feel like I'm agreeing. Probably not alignment indicative though but I'm getting an overall town feel. Minor tinfoil ofc.

You're getting cknfused. Earlier cory made remarks about not sweating his zander read because of how early in the game we are. Hours later, he is pushing BFG for not showing her town self. He then votes her for it before she has time to appear

 

One shows flippancy and a lack of urgency to develop reads. The other is an example of urgency and a pressing need to get traction now. Combined with him dropping a push on one and starting it on another I am utterly failing to see how nobody gets this

Not sweating my Zander read? I made it very clear what I thought of him. I didn't pursue a lynch because that's not something YOU DO at that stage of the game.

 

Nor did I suddenly push for a BFG lynch when I voted her. I voted her for a very deliberate reason.

@Alanna: My reconsideration post was just that I got myself all confused and had a nagging feeling that there was something that bothered me between you and Kat and I wanted to keep asking about it. I couldn't figure out what it was so changed my mind about pursuing it. I brought it up again this morning and still couldn't find anywhere to go with it so I discarded it.

@Cory, the thing about Laine early game was because in our recent games I've given Laine an early town read for involvement which I've inevitably tinfoiled on but I don't think I can hold that as a valid tell any more should probably see how much of that game was unprompted though. Having said that in this case it was a town read that was then confused so /shrug
