No one said anything of the sort, Thane. They simply gave their opinion back to yours. If you believe what you're saying, stick with it. If you see that he or I made a point that is good and you can see where we are coming from, go with it. No one is trying to say you shouldn't play.

I don't understand how using the poll or not has anything to do with using your vote as a tactic. Either the ITT vote or the poll vote will be listed as the "valid" vote. from there it is a matter of adjusting to the rules just like if you have to unvote before your next vote counts or how strict the MOD will be about vote formats.

Yes he did. I know of at least one occasion where shad faked his vote as scum on purpose and iirc it worked a bit. The poll takes that strategy out of the game

 

Last I'm gonna mention this cause I think it could become a distraction. I just don't see how it prevents "fake" voting. Either the ITT vote OR the poll vote is the "official vote" the MOD will accept. You could "fake vote" by putting it in thread and not putting it in the poll or vice versa. I think it actually makes it easier to fake especially during the initial trial period (if the idea gets picked up) 

 

Last questions: Do you think mafia or town is more likely to "fake vote"? If mafia or even, why do you think it is a bad idea to take what many would consider (I do anyway) an angle-shooty thing away from mafia? 

 

 

mafia.  and ive never really understood the term angle shoot properly.  i think its a valid tactic for mafia especially late game when they are low on numbers and trying to save their buddy

 

my understanding of the idea of the poll is for it to usually be used as the only means of voting.  this game eldricks trialling it but we can still vote itt   i commented on it cause i dont like the idea of it being the only way of voting for reason stated

This isn't like Belichick or Chrono Trigger when he got a bit emotional on the brink of a majority lynch. Literally the only person gunning for him was me, his suspect. He's appealing to his recent string of good reads as town how towns like to gang up on him.... how does any of this make any sense whatsoever in the context of the situation?
