It is a combination of things that make me suspect you. I am not saying that you are not scum hunting at all. I am saying that you are spending more time defending others. In a span of 20 posts, if I see you doing it 25% of times, that stands out

Just a general thing--I've never proclaimed myself town in my op post as scum as far as I can remember, but I've done it two or three times as town. It's just a matter of being authentically stoked to rand town in a game I've been looking forward to. Not saying I'll never do it as scum in the future.  I've seen Zander do it as both.  Just saying I don't think it's a great thing to look for as an early tell.

Whoever asked about Hallia - shes been less active her past few games, and was mafia in a couple, but she wasn't overly active in a town game. My key with her isn't the number of posts but how she's using them. Town Hallia is usually (slighty) more forthcoming with reads and some sort of justification.

 

When she doesn't say anything or doesn't really back anything is when I worry.

So we are giving road maps for Hally to use to avoid things if she is mafia now? Noted

But, more importantly, I get a feeling that, besides his joke posts, he is spending more time defending others than scum-hunting. It is a very early feel however. Posts like these

First, I completely disagree with your opinion about claiming town.  Yeah, it's kind of annoying, but having no numbers to back me up whatsoever I would strongly guess that it's came from town far more often than it has mafia.  At worst, it would be null.

 

More importantly, why do you feel him defending people is more likely to come from him as mafia than town?  Are the people he's defending his teammates?  TMIing reads on townies?

I missed ures  saw corys but he does that regularly and he seemed  iirc to keep it non specific. Clovs seemed more specific. And I just didnt like it.

 

 It may also be a cumalative effect  that ive seen others do it and then i saw him do it too.   Kinda like how Lenlos drunk comment stood out coming after mine.

I don't understand the point here.  You don't like it because you don't think I should do it?  Or you don't like it because you think it somehow suggests I'm mafia?

 

If it's the former, tough - I'm going to answer questions.  If it's the latter, okay, but I don't understand the logic behind it.  Yes, technically it's telling mafia!Hallia what she can do to appear town to me, but that really only matters if we're mafia together....in which case, I could just tell her privately and avoid helping whoever it was that asked (Nomi?).  If anything, it gives Nomi a baseline for understanding how I approach the game and gives him something to use to judge me.
