Honestly? I think the only thing that went wrong here is Pizza started dropping meta knowledge in the thread. He should have just kept meta thoughts to himself. Once that came out? It's like having an itch you can't scratch. I'm trying to solve the alignment of some guy who knows stuff about me but I can't tell if he really thinks these things about my meta and is wrong or if he's making them up to make me look bad.

That's it. That's the only thing that went wrong. He outed himself. And people, understandably, had this puzzle they needed to solve - and that was the true identity of the alt.

I understand why Pizza used the alt. I appreciate that he checked with the mod first. I don't think anything done was malicious or mean spirited or underhanded or manipulative in any way. And I have zero problems with it.

I will be pissed if I don't see "Nomi" sign up for more games. I will take it as a personal affront!

I played in my first game off site recently and dealt with more drama than I've seen here in like 10. There will be mistakes. There will be differences of opinion on how thoroughly a rule should be enforced. There will be little compromises that have no real impact but feel massive to players who've invested a ton of time into winning a game. I feel like DM consistently takes the path of least negative impact when handling them. If Nolder had rolled in and mod killed half of this game, then we might have issues. The rest is just a few mental notes to keep in mind for future games.
