No activity indicates that scum sees no reason to change up the wagons so I suspect that either both are wrong or that they feel confident that mine will go through.  I am not wholely comfortable with a Lily lynch but it is a damn sight better than my own death.  [v] lily [/v]

 

Can anyone remind me what actual argument there is for me being mafia?  I think they were all neutered.

Verb and Clov are Day 2 or Day 3 reads for me. I'll be paying attention to how Verb and Leelou interact with each other because they are like Ross and Rachael. If it's on, they are both Town. If it's off, there's something rotten in Denmark.

You don't like dinosaurs nearly enough to be Ross and Verb can't pull off a sundress nearly well enough to be Rachel. C'mon son.

1. Lack of progression in your reads.

2. You don't care about finding scum.

3. When I expound my read of you, you tell me I'm a hypocrite and it has nothing to do with anything.

4. Pressured lilly and backtrack on a whim, I think it was.

5. Nolder wants you gone.

I was wondering what your take was about the players you haven't mentioned, basically. Since you weren't really around for a while I wanted to see where you were at.

 

 

As for doc, cop, vig.

 

Doc wise would be a toss up between Verbal and Sili. I'd cop Barm most likely because I really can't make up my mind about him. And I'd vig the Zash/Eldrick slot.

No, Darthe is not my top scum suspect.  Sili is ATM.  Darthe was acting scummy as hell to start the game, but he claims it was for gauging reactions; his play over the past day or so is improved and he seems more intent on figuring things out, and I can actually follow him reasonably well.

 
After #727, I'd probably put Lily over Darthe by a hair.  The wording of the post makes my skin crawl.

Ok, apologies. I had some info mixed up, that's what happens when you try to go solely on memory.

 

It was Sili that kept the vote on someone, while also defending them. Clov was the one that questioned those motives.

Actually,  yes.  I saw your post about defending Darthe, as you were null on him, earlier and meant to ask you about it.  

 

I get the logic - random gives people a better chance to be town than mafia - but it didn't seem like you had any scum reads when you were defending him.  Remember, you were backing him before Verbal really got on him and before Barm hopped on you.  Did you think there was a better person to be pushing at that time than Darthe?

 

No, I don't think there was anyone I wanted to lynch.

 

The idea and motive behind my actions is to speak up if I feel people are being unreasonable. It is also my strategy to leave those cases that have merit alone. To be absolutely clear, I am completely fine with cases that go somewhere productive. But I am not okay with witch-hunts on my turf.

 

For Darthe, I wanted to defend him without damaging his wagon, while leaving plenty of room for better cases on him to be built. In much the same way I defended Zash earlier, but also demanded she make an attempt to form reads.

 

 

So you wanted to defend him but not remove votes from him, and still keeping it possible to push him.  Why even bother with a defense then?

The "someone" happens to be Darthe, the other person I don't trust, but that doesn't make this any less sketchy.

To be fair, I actually DID vote Nyn in my opener (for reasons not related to mafia) and left it there for a while, even though I felt good about her.  I appreciate you fact checking yourself and admitting your mistake.

Doc - Sili. He's my strongest Town read. I think I've figured him out.

Cop - Eldrick. There's been a lot of conversation centered on Zasha. She's been replaced by another person I don't know at all. I don't think I'd be able to resolve this slot without a lot of help.

Vig - Lily. This is where my vote is going. I don't like the Darthe wagon. I feel like it has built too easily with too many different characters and I haven't seen a single convincing argument to explain it. Lily and Nyn [my deep-wolf candidate] are the people I trust least on it.

You want to help a brother out?  If you have some secret to reading him, I can maybe see how you feel confident about him, but I don't know any short cuts.

I'll actually back this.  He was not voting Darthe at the time he was defending him.

 

You DID, however, make a statement that implies you were content defending him without actually pulling votes from him.  I know YOU said that's not what you meant by damaging his wagon, but it's pretty much the same thing IMO.

I'm happy to leave my vote where it is right now. There's nothing Lily has said to change my mind and I really hate the "I'm always scummy at the beginning" excuse. It is weak and not a reason for me to not vote the person. They are still acting scummy, therefore logically they should be lynched.

I find it telling that those who know me best aren't on my train. They know that I don't really kick in until day three. I'm trying to change that and failing miserably. But y'all gotta do what you gotta do, I guess. 

 

You are saying things in a scummy way, but not forced or lacking any hint of townie-ness that you do as scum. I like that you are trying to be more active early, might help you lose some of your scummy posting style. Right now, I have you as null to town. I don't really like Zashara's vote on you. Also not getting feel good vibes from Barm yet, but it is still early and I'd like Verbal's take on him. 

 

 

Still null.  I'm 100% caught up, and only saw a few more posts from him.  So I'll need to progress that read as we move into D2 and beyond.
