I disagree entirely.

OMGUS has been used for a long time now to simply describe someone who voted someone who voted them.

It no longer describes a very specific situation in which someone voted someone else for voting them.

OMGUS used to be about someone baselessly crossing with someone out of spite because they were voted.

My vote wasn't baseless and wasn't spiteful. Like I said before I didn't even know Hallia was serious at first.

I didn't vote Hallia because she voted me. I made that very clear from the beginning and have taken the time to clarify that further even though I thought it was clear enough from the beginning. I'm not attacking her activity level really, although I admit that is cause for concern. She said work was taking up her time and that's fine. The activity was taken by work and that's not a problem. The problem I have, again, is the laziness in her play. She voted after she only read 7 pages, she quoted a post (that didn't have much content to begin with) and said "this", and she didn't talk about anyone else in the game. How are we supposed to judge Hallia? How are we supposed to judge anyone else in relation to her? We don't know what she thinks about the game, what she thinks about the people in the game, nothing. We just know that she "got a bad feeling" from a couple posts I made at the start of the game. It's lazy play that to me reads as busy scum who saw her name called out and had to blurt out a post to give at least the appearance that she was going to keep up. You can agree or disagree with that assessment however you like but the one thing it wasn't was OMGUS. 

 

 

To be fair, you need to think about the accuser's POV.  They might think it was, and therefore label it OMGUS, regardless of whether they are correct or not.

That's what I'm saying an OMGUS isn't just a cross, it's an immediate cross without reason.

Take the scenario of 4 way lylo. You're sure Player A is town, you know you're town, but you're not sure about Players B and C.

Player C votes you based on some stupid interaction right out the gate. You now know that's the mafia and make a case on them with this knowledge in mind. You vote them and then everyone else turns around and calls it an OMGUS. See how dumb that is? An OMGUS isn't just voting someone who voted you. It's baselessly and spitefully voting someone that voted you. They're not the same thing but people just don't make that distinction anymore and it's sad really.

I don't really like Cory setting up as town leader but it's usually inevitable that someone does. I feel like there's always one person being sensible while everyone else derps around so they're forced to try to lead the herd whether they want to or not. I'm going to cautiously accept it for now.

 

I pretty much agree with this, with the exception that I don't feel one way or the other about Cory setting himself up as the leader. He's done the same in previous games. At least in his town games. I don't think I've ever seen him play as scum. Got any links to some of your scum games, Cory?

 

 

 

Also as a general FYI. It's Sukot right now (Jewish holiday) and my family is coming to visit till Saturday, so my activity might be reduced a bit for a couple of days. 

 

 

This post has me wondering. It has me wondering if a mafia would come out and so blatantly agree with another mafia. Came out of it thinking that IF only one of nol/lee/ny is mafia it its the hydra girls.

@nol  An example of your lack of being clear. Now i thought i had quoted ure post i was replying to but it seems i havent. It was that one where you were talking about people but saying there were no votes. The way you said that could be taken 2 ways. I ASSUME you meant that those people were talking about you but not voting however it could also be read as you saying there were no votes on you which the post above clearly shows is untrue.

 

See why people sometimes find you unclear?  Ive read thru the game and I still do not know why you think verb is mafia. saying he failed a reaction test tells me nothing. HOW did he fail it? WHY do you view whatever he did as a fail?
