You were insightful and on track all game.  Not saying you did anything wrong.  Maybe I was a little paranoid.  The post was deleted.   You came right out and voted her afterward and that was OK as Dice played scummy to that point.  I jump to conclusion and for safety sake voted with you.

Also at my activity this game. I had pretty good convictions and a decent handle on the game, but never took charge the last few days when I could have. I felt pretty strongly that NotBob was scum and that Kaylee might be too, but Kaylee did such a great job putting in #work that I just kinda lost momentum. NotBob voting Leelou even tho I had made clear several times that she was LOCK CLEAR sealed the deal for me tho. Wish I had made a bigger deal about that before going to bed. /shrug

 

Good game everyone, next time Wombat runs a game let's be a lot moar active, kk?

Darthe, great job pulling the best out of a bad situation by fooling Csarmi into claiming. You were almost def going down either way, but tricking Salami like that was pretty much the play of the game for your team. Even tho yall had a RBer, you still would have had to search for the Doc. Csarmi playing into that made it easy mode for yall lol.

 

Mynd, next time trust #LazyDespot. ESPECIALLY when it comes to reading Darthe

You were almost def going down either way, but tricking Salami like that was pretty much the play of the game for your team. Even tho yall had a RBer, you still would have had to search for the Doc. Csarmi playing into that made it easy mode for yall lol.

Also, I can't get too down on people for not being active this game because I was having trouble with that myself, and sometimes the mod needs to set the tone.  I'm just happy we managed to get it done without any huge inactivity problems aside from the early game replacements.

You guys played so freaking inactive that day one was some 20 pages and didn't manage to get a deadline lynch. Which played a huge role in me not being able to trust that the lynch would be happening indeed.

 

Also, I replaced in day two cause Wombat really did need a player and I knew I wasn't going to be able to do much. I also knew Thane wouldn't be able to do much AND he was going to be blocked forever... so exchanging us (and forcing the next mafia kills) for a scummers was a good trade. That you guys didn't use it effectively enough is because the mafia played well and town didn't.

 

But yea, blame me.

Thane getting blocked forever (assuming we didn't lynch NotBob soon enough) would have been lame, but had the Doc stayed hidden town wouldn't have been in terrible shape. A Doc that can stay alive till endgame can actually be more powerful for town than a Cop who is able to get some views in (which are really only helpful if they pick good targets, ie their town views stay alive or they nab scum). A Doc at endgame that can clear themselves and stuff a NK completely pwns.

 

It wasn't all your fault tho Csarmi, sorry if I made it seem that way. I do disagree with you claiming there, and I think it was completely unnecessary, but there were a number of things that led to town's loss this game. You're right, activity was a huge part of that. Kaylee also played a great scum game after subbing in.

 

I just personally think Docs should do EVERYTHING IN THEIR POWER to remain hidden because of the utility they have at endgame. IN general I think peeps role claim too early too often. Trading one for one for scum seems to make sense on the surface, and def from a mathematical point of view, but that also kind of assumes that other things will either work in town's favor or not work AGAINST town. I personally don't think trading one for one is that smart.

 

In the same vein, I generally think you shouldn't just do w/e you can to get one scum lynched, you should always be working to try and out as many of them as possible. Hence, if I get a guilty as Cop I'm not revealing it right away. If I have other info that I think can def nab one scum, I don't always push it out there, and instead try and find their teammates.

 

It's kind of how I look at playing as scum as well- if you think about it, if you can get at least ONE townie mislynched along with yourself as a scummer, you've done your job actually. Why? If the game is in the standard 25% ratio, then 2 days + 2 nights means that if you get one townie mislynched, then lynched the next day, as long as your team's NK goes through both nights, the ratio remains the same (1 scum died while 3 townies did). I don't fight to stay alive as mafia- I try sowing as much wifom and linking myself with as many townies as possible so that if/when I die, it helps my team out.

Thanks Des. I couldn't have done it without Mynd, Len and Hally. Their play made it easy for me to make legit cases. Otherwise I'd have been sunk after a reads post. Tress was reading along and told me, after game, that my first reads list didn't match the conclusions I had come to. That was because I caught up in the game and made up my mind before reading the QT and learning who my teammates were. That way it'd seem more legit. but then I had to change a few reads because I would've had both Lee and NotBob in my suspect pile. Didn't want to have both teammates in that pile.

 

Bold: That's why I wasn't too worried about going down. I had helped getting Mynd lynched and put doubt about Len and Hally. Plus too many had Lee as town I knew we had one deep wolf and that was good for me.

I thought I did well for activity. I was active every RL day, made cases and everything. It's a bit discouraging when you start off replacing with 33 pages to read, and the person you're subbing for was obv scum.
