She is good.  I should know

Also, quite a lot of people haven't answered my request from earlier.

I answered already, but can you give us more info about anything dice has said or done in your QT to help inform our decision?

Dice told me that he doesn't trust his reads after Mynd's flip, and that I shouldn't shoot Darthe.

Small danger of that, truly.

So he told you he doesn't trust his own reads and then gave you some?

He doesn't trust his own reads enough to tell me who to shoot. I believe he's relieved he didn't get my role. It's not particularly fun to have the whole game second guessing you.

the negotiator's were grim this night. Some went out on search parties hoping to apprehend the killers, some discussed war plans that loomed around any corner, some sulked in fear of being next. Some died with a blade through the heart..

Alexander the great - thane - has been killed.

It is now day 3!

in a hurry excuse the horrible scene!

@Krak - Is your town read on Nol because apparently you guys share a QT?

My null read on Nol is because he's one of the players that I have a hardest time reading, but I'm sure that to a degree our shared QT is playing a role in that.  I'm trying not to let it influence my view but I'm just used to naturally playing with QT-mates as teammates.

How convinced are you that 1/3 players of each faction are scum?

Imo they arent. At least one faction has to not have scum and I think it more likely that one has two scum and then two are empty. Thats how it balances best withthe least swing. Otherwise we could clear two people each time we found the scummer in a team.

Indeed,  But perhaps the mods didn't count on Nolder voting for his own Civ partner, which lead to this early revelation.

Had Nolder not voted JackD, he would have died without alerting us that the QTs were compromised, and it would have taken us at least Day 3 or 4 to figure this out unless Tress got lucky with her VIG kill.  Even if Nervo got a scum read on one player, it would have been a town vs town WIFOM until someone was lynched.

So, the game would have been well balanced, much like Kivam's double blind game of old, if Nolder hadn't voted JackD.

I know you can't answer, but AJ is still around - why would you not assume that the QT's contained or had the potential to contain players of a different alignment.  When no info was listed in the QT I immediately asked the mods if they could confirm our same-team alignments but they wouldn't.  IMO Jack only stated the obvious with his "compromised" statement - although since he left it pretty ambiguous he could have been talking about something else entirely.

Again - I just don't understand this line of thought.  Specifically the use of the word 'betray.'  I'll happily have a conversation with you after the game though Lewynd

I don't care to lynch you for it but I find it a really questionable decision.  For the life of me I don't get that one.

Who do you think we should lynch?  Top three please.

God, that's going to take some thought.

I'm torn between wanting to verify if the mafia is more or less evenly distributed (although I think 4 is more likely than 5, so at least one QT is probably all town) and lynch Dice, and saying hell no, that's what Lewis wants, and he's starting to make me heavily worried.  I'm not sure who balance checked the game, so 2 mafia each on 2 of the delegation QTs may make more sense as you suggested.  Or it might be one each on 4 of them.  I rarely know what to make of Dice, but he hasn't lurked as much as I might have expected him to as mafia, so there's that.  Man's a champion lurker when scum, to the point of "oh hey, I forgot he was in this game".

Wombat is clearly smarter than I am (sorry again Womby, you are the best marsupial ever and I totally suck ), and he was leaning mafia on Lewis and Des by the end of the night, primarily because they turned the tide on the Jack lynch, and he thought Despo's response to Jack's flip was disingenuous.

I don't trust Nolder.  I don't trust Lewis.  I don't know if I should trust Darthe (but I think if Lewis is mafia, Darthe more likely isn't).

Lewis is making a lot of assumptions - nobody has admitted to being on Jack's QT, including Nolder (in fact he's specifically avoided answering that question) - but if Nolder is mafia and there's one mafia per QT, why hasn't the 3rd Egyptian spoken up?  Perhaps both of Jack's QT-mates are mafia, which means Darthe's 2 mafia on 2 QTs is on point.  And if that's the case, I'd be willing to bet that the other 2 are the missing Romans, since someone had to have ratted out Vos.   Best guesses if that's the case - Nolder, Krak, Despo and Lenlo.

After that lovely stream of consciousness (hey, at least I'm not feeling like utter crap today - I haven't taken any cold medicine in 8 hours and I still feel human) I guess this really doesn't answer your question precisely as asked, Darthe, but hopefully it lets you know where my head is at.

The biggest thing that bothers me is that Nolder has dodged the question about him being on Jack's QT over and over.

##vote Nolder

Are you claiming a town read on Dice?

Or consider this.....

Nolder and JackD were on the same team together.  The third Egyptian can confirm this.  Nolder betrayed JackD by voting him.

I suspect that Nolder's attempt to lynch an inactive (ICE) was actually an attempt to lynch an inactive scum partner to make himself look clean.  Would have worked if he had thought of it earlier.  Ice (who is now Darthe) is on the Viking team with myself and AJ.  The diarreah of posts from Darthe at this point suggests scrambling.

Darthe's silence in our QT as of late further suggests that he has turned in his Viking helmet for a scum hat.

Still, we have an easy solution.  Third Egyptian can confirm Nolder is part of the QT.  We can then lynch Nolder.  If he flips scum AND was part of the Egyptian team that JackD was part of, we have our answer.  Does this make sense to those of you who are actually scumhunting and not scrambling?

Lol wow, could you possibly push this angle any harder?

Remember when you were going nuts over my "coordinated" vote with Jack?

There was nothing of the sort, my other teammate can confirm this. We weren't talking on the QT at all.

And now we're supposed to have been on opposite teams. You're just spinning any story that fits your narrative.

I still disagree with this line of reasoning.  If by 'betray' you mean the topical "faction betrayal" then yes, technically one Egyptian 'betrayed' the other.  But what I think you mean is in-game teammates, and since Nolder and Jack didn't have a reciprocal relationship regarding alignment (as per Jack's flip) then there's no way that Nolder 'betrayed' Jack in that sense.

In our QT Nolder and Jack were mostly congenial except when Nolder called Jack out for contradicting himself day 1.  Nol also posted in our QT about how gross Jack's AtE was and how it was more or less a policy lynch.  That doesn't prove anything in my mind as smart scum would post that in both QT and thread regardless. As far as I can tell from what happened in-thread and in-QT, Nol voted Jack only once Jack self-voted.

I am specifically talking about the ones where I quoted his contradictions which were mimicry of the reasoning Lewis used, since that isn't clear above ).)

Tress, did you holster or should we assume scum has an RB?

TG.... there are a lot of things I'd like to say, but the most pertinent is this:

How do you know Thane wasn't my kill?

I assumed based on the scene.  Thane wasn't poisoned and the scene depicted negotiators out in the night.

Was thane your kill?

Posted

No, I highly doubt thane was your kill since his name never was brought up and he was considered town by pretty much everyone.  So I'm going back to my first assumption.
