It's just an extremely anti-mafia role, even with only one use. This game had what, 3 or 4 possible uses? Even with restrictions on the usage, that's insane. Cops can be blocked or obscured, LD's cannot. (Silvertongue doesn't count, I didn't even know that was a thing, and it's so specific).

Yes. I also didn't know that editing a post would make my statement unusable. I really just waited to make it until the day we were planning to kill BFG(well that night). 

i would have erased the quotes from it otherwise.. oh well. all's well that ends better.

Editing a post to make sure it has no LD statement... I'd call that cheating.

 

I allow editing in my games but if someone did that or edited out a vote... I mean I'm just assuming people wouldn't do that am I being too naive? Does that require a concrete rule?

I would say that it is no different than if a mafia slipped and edited out any other content that might be incriminating. They could be grilled for doing it but if editing is allowed then editing is allowed. it is up to the players at that point to hold the editing arty accountable. Most likely someone got a email notice and has the original anyway.
