Yes, if you ask me something when I am fast asleep, you are not going to get a replay within 10 minutes. So, patience. Similarly I am not expecting a reply from you on this within an hour or something and the cycle goes on.

 

LIke I have already mentioned, Des and Darthe are the ones stand out. Des for his blatant vote hopping (see next point).

@Kaylee, I wanted to say it in that way and so I did.  It felt right to see who would react and in what way, despite being something that I could have phrased better.  Additionally I found the heat on me to be very... fake for lack of a better word and so it looked like she may be being protected.

There's a lot of content that I've missed but some pretty good stuff to read through. I'm reconsidering my read on TG after my previous post that he answered some of my questions pretty well after restating his thought process. What Darthe says is true in a way of Despo. I personally don't think he is scum this game based on how he is adding anyone who counters him to his wolf-list, but generally I find myself unsure of his play. I don't agree with most of his points but I've noticed Despo kind of has a way of only seeing things from his perspective when it comes to what he considers scummy. Pral's recap of his posts with literally 0 analysis except to call each of his vote changes scummy is suspect and looks like an easy way to jump onto the lead wagon. I'm still not liking Dap this game. Ducking out comments aside, I find most of his posts lacking any real content. His OP contains him saying all the current wagons at the time to be odd, but with no explanation why. His last post was basically just an agreement with what other people have said where he states he finds both Darthe and TG scummy without really expressing why. I'm also uncomfortable with how he is allowing Despo to buddy up to him without calling him on it when in the last game we played together he was quick to call out another player for a joke vote as a form of buddying him. I would be comfortable with voting either of these two atm.

 

@Mish - do you still find TG scummy?

@Kaylee - who else would you consider voting for since you don't seem able to reconcile your read on Darthe?

 

This kind of post is why AJ is essentially lock town for me.

 

Turin - Unsure, but leaning town for now.  Although I disagree with him on one point I like that he's making real effort.

Amega - Unsure leaning scum - Need to hear more from him, but I don't like the way he just nudged, didn't vote, and then vanished.

Mish - I have a town read on her for now.

Des  - I can't read him >.<

Kaylee - Although she is going along with the flow, she explained herself after I posted this, so I'm willing to lean town a ways with her so far.

 

And this kind of post is why Hally's name will never be on a best players list.  Five people and four of them are floaty answers but one says nothing at all?  You deserve to get lynched every time you pull something like this.

This was pretty weak; I think we all need to have a chat about what is and is not scummy behavior, because there's a lot of stuff flying around in this thread that shouldn't have left the ground (including a lot of what Des has said is scummy). Like I said above, a developed reads list from you would be nice. 

 

It is not about what is being done but rather about who is doing what and when. A lot of the reads develop by being familiar with the playstyle of the  person you are reading and comparing what he is doing here. 

 

Bolded: Explain this more plz. Who are you viewing as Darthe's partner that he's trying to defend? Several others have already touched on this but your last line is very generic sounding.

Something I thought about after seeing this post- I have never seen Wombat try to rely this much on meta reads before. He knows how unreliable meta can be, and yet he is taking hard stances on a number of people based on meta instead of on gameplay ITT. Never seen him do that this much.

Wombat I really have no idea what point you are making. It first sounds like you are saying that I am pushing Des indirectly but another one of your posts makes it sound like you think I am trying to stall his wagon. Which is it? Clarify plz so I can understand.

 

I would put Wombat and effectively null currently. He calls me scum in every game I've played with him so that's meh but I can see his POV in thinking Des is scum although I don't agree. Where is your town read on Pral coming from? Do you agree with his statements that every vote switch by Despo had scum motivation?

 

@Tommy - I don't feel like MQing from my phone cause it's a PITA but basically I liked how TG responded to my questions for him. Once he clarified how he viewed CS claiming town over a role I was able to see how his original doubt of it had lessened. I am also able to see how he would my early comment on Dap could be scummy although I think he is not seeing it the way I did. This could be due to me not making my statement clear enough. I think your case on him is good and not a bad D1 lynch but I would prefer lynching someone I view as more scummy. If Pral were to flip scum, him voting Des over TG as the two leading wagons at the time could be telling.

 

Well, it's okay for you to think TG got more villagery, but that's easy when he's starting from scummiest player ITT. I agree with you though that what Wombat said makes no sense, it seems like he's skimming too hard. Whether that's scum driven or not -- dunno yet. This is possibly the weakest follow-up to the weakest reason we've had for a vote so far in this game.

Nope. They're not blinders on, I can see fine thank you. I've dealt with Darthe's unbelievably poor sportsmanship for I don't know how long now, I've learned how to just disregard him if he's town. He's not in this game tho. Once he finally explained his slip, it was "Oh I did that on purpose for reactions".... which is just awful defense, yet town had already moved it's focus off of him so he got away with it. For a little while longer at least

 

And as far as the other stuff in your post, that my playstyle isn't doing enough to get people to like me or w/e, I stopped worrying about trying to play in a way that engendered myself to others in mafia a long time ago. I play the way I play, if others want to disregard my opinion, then that is their prerogative. But I have proven more than enough times that my opinion SHOULDN'T be discounted. 

 

Agree to disagree then, but my ultimate point is this: you'll make better reads overall if you allow yourself to "reset" and re-compile all the info you have available every 1-2 days so that you don't get stuck on conditional reads that could be based on a false premise. I've started to do that myself because I kept embarrassing myself by hard pushing bad lynches. 

 

Yes we can agree that Pral is sketchy as hell. His replies today are seriously lacking any sort of serious thought process, although I hope this isn't because he is just too busy to play. Either way, I didn't like how he jumped onto the Des wagon. I am not satisfied with his responses. And lastly I don't like his theory that suddenly Darthe switched to him in order to save a teammate. I'd like him to clarify which person he thinks this applies to as the only other major two players getting heat at the time (vote wise) were TG and Des, but Des is his other scum read.

 

I think TG is starting to step it up again.

Could you make an effort to be like... better?  I have seen you play well and don't doubt your ability at all but I really want you to consider the words you're about to say more.  Otherwise it makes it impossible to trust you.  Ever.  I remember the game where you were doc you got outted early on and basically got lucky with your WIFOM all game.  Not my ideal scenario.

Okay, TL;DR case on Lenlo is that he has popped into the thread only to make jokes/buddy, skate along and bury a vote on me.  He hasn't taken any positions that he could be called accountable for, has basically not commented on anything of significance in the thread.  The timing of his vote on me and the way he made it are what I found scummiest about him, especially as he didn't say anything that hadn't been said before and ignored contradictory posts from other people.  His joking looks mostly like buddying to me in an attempt to cover up his complete lack of meaningful participation. 

 

But the biggest thing is that he doesn't even remember his own fake "scumhunting."  Before voting me he said that I deleted a post and so he would "default to a" ping.  That is it.  Nothing else.  Later he says that the post delete isn't the only reason he is voting me.  Next he says it isn't even the main reason for him voting me.  So he is being self contradictory and incredibly lazy which looks like mafia sheeping to stay under the radar.

For srs though, Darthe I feel like always plays like this and so while it feels scummy my gut and prior experiences are telling me not to lynch him. Atleast not on D1 anyways. See what more he does. TG with his deleted post and as Tommy said his change of time on Darthe are the scummiest things im seeing. Darthes train also seems to have built without any new arguements, just the same ones being rehashed by the same people.

Well when can I expect an adequate response? I'm being patient, unusually so. I don't see how Des meta leads you to a scum lean here; I think the difference in his town/scum play is how many suspects he can convincingly juggle. As scum he sticks to one or two a lot harder, IMO.

I did see it.  This D1 didn't have a DL of 72 hours like most games so, apart from his joke vote, that makes 4 others over a longer time frame.  Can you link to a few of Despo's recent games and count how many D1 votes he has had?  You can't say it's more than normal without at least providing what normal is in the first place.
