But Monk #yolo'd him, Dice never peeked me, and it was over

I was a bit surprised that Golden or Dice never checked you or Des. Although I very rarely include any role that has a misleading view result and actually have it get viewed. So it follows the pattern of how my previous modding attempts have gone somewhat.

whatever makes you feel better is good.

Alright this is the last thing I'll say about the dead thread, will finish it on my own tonight- it's quite interesting how different the commentary is in dead threads with spoilers vs dead threads without spoilers. Everyone on threads with spoilers is all like "Oh man how can _______ not see that ______ is obviously scum!" On threads without spoilers, it's more commentary about the game itself, not criticizing certain players for not seeing what is so obvious to the people.... who already know who the scum are.

Funny, huh?

One of these days I might make a DT without spoilers. But IMO the main reason for taking the DT in the first place is to satisfy your curiosity as to who is what. Not having the spoilers in the DT means there's not really much point to being there.

you should give a tutorial on mobile formatting here.

I was feeling bad about the vote code fails but srsly that's a valuable tactic and I'm not gonna assume someone's just not getting it when they might be a tricksy wabbit.

This. Some people had issues with the improperly formatted votes and the votes without unvotes not being accpeted. Darthe has regularly taken issue with me not accepting his votes the last few games I have run because he doesn't format them right. But one thing about DM is that people will occasionally vote fail on purpose as a gameplay tactic. I can't be expected to guess which fails are really accidents and which are deliberate, so I have to ignore them all. If I accepted all the votes regardless of the fail, then people would run roughshod over me and would also be unable to use that trick.

I also think modkills and replacements should not happen until phase changes

Not in the middle of a round

Modkills due to inactivity usually are during phase changes. Due to rule violations tho they kinda have to be done immediately, often for good reason.

I don't get why replacements should be done at phase changes.

Modkills for inactivity, as well as replacements for inactivity that aren't requested by the player, are usually something that I do at phase change. Actually, I've never MKed anyone in any game. But had Tommy not been lynched D5 and the game continued, SP would have been MKed at the same time as I posted the lynch.

Your main issue here, though, seems to be with players who ask to drop out in mid-round and then get replaced immediately. If you don't like it, the best approach would be to mod some games yourself here at DM and run it that way, thus allowing the people native to this site to see if they like it. Same with the random lynch without a coroner report. If they like games being that way, they might incorporate it into their own games. (Actually, the first game I ever modded had random lynches WITH a coroner report if there was no majority... and the first day phase of my modding career ended that way.)

Going about it the way you are, though, doesn't strike me as being very effective. Since this isn't your home forum, it comes across as equivalent to being a guest in someone's home and telling them their furniture is ugly.

Me interpreting that as "Beat Your White Ass Senseless" was probably my favorite part of the game.

Wait is that NOT what it means?

I couldn't imagine any other interpretation till he explained it

Regarding my issue about Turins viewing.

Once i knew the pm was there lol (never had that happen before) and it was explained  that was fine. my concern a little later was that when i gave my views i said something weird had happened. I never explained WHAT.  I was  a little worried that telling what happened would get me modkilled.

and cindy yes it was sneaky but DEFINETLY worth a try lol

They made a film of this?

I never knoew that.

Books were great. Unlike the original SW books which were, well, mediocre at best.

No, they never made a film, although there are comic book adaptations. But Lucasfilm had approval over what went on in the Expanded Universe, and said no to Timothy Zahn's original idea, as well as one or two intended book titles.

I can't picture an evil Kenobi no matter how hard I try. But somehow, I just know that Alec Guinness could have made us all believe it given the chance. (Actually, he would've been more likely to turn it down. Guinness was on record as considering SW a bunch of drivel.)
